[COSTCO SUBS PRESENTS] [Interview with a new member] My name is Kaito Nakata, 20 years old. My job is a pro skater. Working as a pro skater, going to competitions and events and the like... On a global stage, a skater who release their own signature deck is recognized as truly pro. although that hasn't happened yet, it's the goal I have my eyes on. [PRO SKATER LIFESTYLE] The skaters that I admire... there are many that posted videos and then got famous. I had a strong desire to make a living via making videos, though. Likewise, recently those skaters have been going to competitions and stuff, so I've been thinking that's also important. Definitely I'd love to get people to see me in those videos, magazines, photos and the like. The coolest thing would be to be equals to those people. It would be amazing, to be amongst all those people I admire. So I am really focused on that goal. [CAN YOU EARN A LIVING FROM JUST SKATEBOARDING?] Keeping a steady part-time job, I can get by. Before I was working in fashion and the like, and helping my Dad with his business. I also get money from a sponsor. One way or another I get by, even so, I want to get by only with skateboarding. [WHAT WILL YOU DO TO LIVE OFF ONLY SKATEBOARDING?] The truth is that this is a point when I am very worried, I turned 20... It's a tough thing, being in a state of "What should I do?"... but I love skating and I'd like to do it every day so... well, that's how I feel, so... I'm sponsored by some Japanese brands, but if I aim for the global stage, Being sponsored by only Japanese brands would limit my activities only to Japan. I'm thinking it's difficult. And come to the decision just to give up. I hope I become a skater known worldwide through foreign deck brands. I want to do something like that. [REASON FOR JOINING] The reason I joined Terrace House was because there are so many different kinds of people living there and... until now, I've pretty much only been skateboarding. But there a lot of things I have an interest in, of course there's skateboarding but... I'd like to expand my world view. I'd like to meet different types of people. Given there hasn't been a skater on the show yet, I'd like to change that too. [DO YOU HAVE EXPERIENCE HOUSE SHARING?] Every year when I go to LA, I share with... two girls - and myself included- five guys. That's for three months. It's just a load of people who skate, surf and snowboard and that sort of thing. But I really have no idea what kind of people I'll be living with, so I can't wait. [AMONGST PAST MEMBERS, WHO IS YOUR TYPE?] When I saw Guy and Niki, I was jealous! Like wow! Cute! That Kansai-dialect was really nice I thought. Cute! [DID YOU TALK WITH GUY ABOUT NIKI?] I did. Of course. Like, you did it! [DO YOU WANT TO FIND LOVE AT TERRACE HOUSE?] Certainly, If I can find a nice girl and we get along. First become friends, go get food together with just the two of us, or more. Well, to be honest, I don't know how it becomes that feeling. That feeling of love. Seeing them only as a friend is also possible. So until I get there, I won't really know how it will work. But definitely, I am completely looking forward to it. [WHAT KIND OF GIRLS WOULD YOU LIKE THERE TO BE THERE?] Definitely, one with a cute face but, I live alone, and make food everyday myself. So a girl who I could cook with would be good. Hobbies are the most important thing I guess. That we have the same vibe. Since I dedicate myself to skateboarding, Someone who was not supportive would be tough probably, so someone who challenges themselves, and I can give help to. Someone who I can grow together with would be nice. [Translated and Timed by holyone2] [Reviewed by keitodesu]
