So, in the last module we started looking at CSS, which is Cascading Style Sheets, and why is it important to separate styling from the content when you're doing web design and development. And in this particular week, you will continue learning CSS, but we move in, we move further from basic styling to more layout and positioning. And this is your chance to really get to learn CSS well and make sure that you have mastered CSS enough to be able to use in the websites that you develop for this course. And the other topic that we cover this week is graphics and media, so we get familiar with various kinds of media formats, like JPEG, GIF, PNG, TIFF, and so on, and it is very important to know which media formats to use when, and how do the quality components matter in terms of how they impact file sizes, because if the file sizes are too large, then they won't load effectively on the computers of people who might have slow internet connections, and also it is good to be able to be familiar with any sort of photo manipulation software, like GIMP, or Adobe Creative Suite, and so on, so that you can manipulate the images in an effective manner when you want to use them in your web pages.
