No, i'm not worried,
they predict a fine weather.
And it's said that
the weather changes quite fast here.
Great, i'm surprised,
it's pretty big.
There is even a piano!
It's cool.
I don't know yet.
I'm gonna walk-around.
And there is the festival
which will take up quite a bit of time.
And maybe take a look
at the Hermitage.
- Hello?!
- Excuse me?
- Please!
- Hello?
International Short-Film Festival
At St. Petersbourg
(french dialogues)
- What did you see
at the openning night?
- Mostly Femis' films.
- Hello, please?
- Please! 'ouhou'
- I didn't watch saturday's projection.
- Is the Festival there?
- Hello!
- Hello!
- Please
- Hello!
- You can see me?
"Thank you"
- Do you speak english?
- Oh, yes!
- So, i can see you,
you can see me
What are you doing here?
- I was in Paris,
because I'm french,
and I came here for a film festival
and, I've vanished!
- You have vanished? Why?
- I don't really understand.
- Come with me.
- Yeah?
I've vanished the 7 of march.
I started to be transparent
during february.
- Do you understand me?
- Yeah. But what happened?
I remember, I was afraid.
I couldn't do anything.
People were in the street,
they were screaming
because of this.
The authorities didn't do anything.
- Really?
- Yeah.
We were just vanishing,
disapearing, like this!
- The policeman, the government,
they didn't do anything?
- No, no!
- It's here!
- It's the place I was talking about
for the film festival.
That's just there.
- So, you are an actor?
- Yes.
A transparent actor.
- Do you want to go out
with me tonight?
- Yeah! Sure.
- I know a good bar.
- Great!
- Where are you staying?
- In a hotel near 'Nevski Prospect'.
- I can give you a lift if you want.
- Ok great!
- Clément?
- I don't understand,
how can we see each other,
if people can't?
- Maybe they don't want to see us.
- Why?
- Because they are afraid.
- How is it possible
that people don't see me
when, me, I feel fire
burning somewhere inside
How is it possible
when me, I feel like a hole,
a darkness going in each part
of my body.
How is it possible
when me,
the only thing that I see
is that I exist
and
I can see you
and I can feel you
and I can feel the pain that
they don't want to see us.
- I have to go now.
- Soon, you will be in Paris
existing again.
You will see you in a mirror,
you will be able to speak to people,
people could hear you.
Tell them.
Tell them that here, we vanish.
- "Spasibo".
This film was inspired by censoreship of "Between bodies",
a short-film by Anaïs Sartini,
at the Parisian Seasons' Festival
in Saint Petersbourg.
The film censored introduces
gay people in Paris.
"Spasibo" was made in a hurry
in reaction to the homophobic law
which was adopted in Saint Petersbourg the 7 of march,
and came into force the 17 of march 2012.
The law prohibits "the propaganda
of homosexuality and pedophilia among minors."
