My name is Maly.

I was born in Laos.

My hometown is Pakse.

My mother was married in 1958.

She had eight children.

Two passed away.

There's still six people in Laos.

There's four people in the USA.

Before anything else, I thank God

for leading me and my children

to come to a comfortable place.

Out of poverty and troubles

to a comfortable place

by the mercy of God.

Coming to the USA

everything has been good.

We have food to eat and a place to stay

by the grace of God's lead.

A place like the USA

many people want to come

because it is the best place.

The US government takes care

of people who stay there.

They care for everything.

They care for the elderly.

They care for the young.

Everything is comfortable and peaceful.

Because of the grace of God's mercy

I live in a very beautiful place

like the USA.
