We had dirty water which we were drinking.
We had to get disease.
- Our old toilets were very dirty.
They were in pathetic conditions.
- We have our own approach we are using; 'The Three T's'.
In this approach it is the taps, toilets and training.
In our taps, we use clean water which are
quite hygienic to the children.
And also very safe for them.
Also the toilets, we use toilets which are protecting to the children.
They are very safe, because they are privately used.
Also in training, we train the children on the use of hand washing
and they basically use the soap which they were not using initially before.
- The project was a drop, but the ripples have been felt
and it has been big.
The impact on the girls' education has been that
we've had the number has gone up.
We started with very few girls, fifteen number.
Up to currently, we have two hundred and fifty girls.
And the performance has also improved.
We used to have a lot of interruptions, girls could go to
the health facility for medication because of water-related diseases.
We have...the girls are very stable, since we got the clean water.
After going out of school, they are empowered
and they become self-reliant.
So it has made a big, positive impact.
