Hello everyone!

This is Evildea, your god.

And today I want to show you

two new and very exciting projects

that have been taking place recently

in the world of Esperanto.

But first, I have to ask you to forgive me,

because I didn't present the

first one earlier - in fact, it will

take place tomorrow.

And it is a large-scale meet-up

which will happen mostly in the US,

in some places in Canada,

and also in Cuba.

But it's a very interesting event,

it is a large-scale gathering,

and it's just a huge number of meet-ups

that are happening is a huge number

of places at the same time, and all of

the meetings, excuse me,

are Esperanto meetings.

So, just go to this website, it's

<i>Paralela Universo</i> (Parallel Universe),

search through the locations, find the

closest one to you, and then go there

and meet with other Esperantists.

As you can see from this map, there are

an enormous number of meet-ups that are

taking place in US, unfortunately only in

the US and other countries and states that

are close to the US, but yes, it's a very

interesting, new event, and I heard from

some of the organisers of this event that

they intend to set up the event again

in the future if everything goes well.

And the second thing, and for me the most

exciting of the two, is the new

app, <i>Amikumu</i>.

Now, I have to say that it isn't yet ready,

and it probably won't be ready until early

next year. But I want to show you

the <i>Amikumu</i> website and just read

to you what it says, and say a few things,

and then ask you about some things.

So, <i>Amikumu</i>!

- which means, for the beginners,

"to get new friends" -

will be an app to help you find and contact

nearby Esperantists. For example,

if you were in the city centre,

and you were with your girlfriend,

and she's in the cosmetics shop,

and you have nothing to do,

and you're just standing there outside

the doors, waiting for her, because

she's always in the cosmetics shop too long!

You could just take out your mobile phone,

open the <i>Amikumu</i> app, and search for

other Esperantists who are nearby.

For example, it would say "Chuck Smith

is 200m away."

You could say, "Oh, excellent!

There's an Esperantist!" and then send

him a message, he'd hear the message,

then he'd read it, and contact you,

and then you could just organise

a meet-up between the two of you.

So it's an app to help Esperantists

find and contact each other.

Now, I want to show this app to you now,

because you can subscribe to our

mailing list. And I say 'our' because

I'm one of the founders of this app,

one of the co-creators, I suppose.

So just go to the website, the link is

in the description, and type your email

address. And then, when we have news,

we'll send it to you. There's just some

information there, and links to our

social websites.

Now, I have to say that I'm showing this

to you very early in the creation

of this app. And almost nothing is ready,

but I just want to show it to you, because

some of you have probably already heard

rumours about this <i>Amikumu</i> app, and

I suppose that I just want to show it to

clarify the situation about it. And also,

I have two other things that I want to

show you related to the app.

So, the first is here, some graphics,

all of them are just sketches or graphics

of possible logos. I need your help.

In fact, we, the creators of <i>Amikumu</i>,

namely me and Chuck Smith, need your help.

Look at each of the logos and choose

the best, or the most suitable,

in your opinion.

So, just write the number in the comments

below, and say why you like it.

And then we can have a better idea

about what you like,

what <i>you</i>, the future users of this app,

like. And the second thing is that we

intend to put together a fundraiser

in the next month, I think the next month,

you'll hear more information about that later

in future videos. But I need your help

again. So, of course

when you start a fundraiser,

you have to reward the people who give

money to the fund. So, what do you believe

would be a good reward for donors?
