There are many amazing TEDx talks
available for you to transcribe.
To find a talk to subtitle,
you'll need an account on Amara,
our online subtitling tool.
Watch our tutorial on how to sign up
if you don't already have an account.
Once you've signed into Amara,
make sure you're in the TED team section.
Click on the Tasks tab,
then click this filter,
and to narrow your search,
select "TEDxTalks,"
or "Best of TEDx" for a curated
selection of promoted talks.
Note that TEDx talks
are the only type of talks
which can be transcribed by volunteers.
Next, click the first filter
and select "Transcribe"
from the list of task types
to see all untranscribed talks
in your languages.
If there is a specific TEDx talk
you'd like to transcribe,
enter the event name or the talk title
in this search field,
which searches within the TED team only.
Because there are so many TEDx talks,
it's a good idea to have a specific talk
in mind before you get to Amara.
Try choosing a talk
from an event in your area
or check out our themed lists,
which organize popular talks by subject.
Once you find a talk,
hover over "Perform Task,"
then click "Start now."
If you can't find the talk
you want to transcribe on Amara,
don't worry.
Just fill out this form,
and we will add the talk to Amara for you
and notify you when it's ready
for subtitling.
After you submit your transcription,
it will need to be reviewed
by an experienced volunteer
before publication
on the TEDx YouTube channel.
Happy transcribing!
