1 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: In terms of this interview what I wanted to do is just… 2 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Well, I told you how I talked to my empath group about our conversation 3 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 where you were talking about when you were in China and the guy that you 4 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 worked with said to breathe in people’s energy. 5 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 That’s a really interesting way of putting it. I’ve 6 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 never heard it put that way, and quite explicitly. 7 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And some people were really triggered by that idea. 8 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, I thought it would be awesome to have you talk more 9 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 specifically about what that is. 10 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Hell yeah. Let’s just jump right into it. I love it. 11 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: And I have a lot of good questions for you too. 12 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Fuck yeah! 13 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: So you know that, first of all, one of the things we talk 14 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 about in my group is the difference between an empath needing protection 15 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 and having discernment. And also one of the videos I did said that empaths 16 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 need healing, not protection. How important it is to heal the emotional body. 17 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And there’s certain things that we go over a lot. I work with so many empaths. 18 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It seems like there’s almost a glorification of unhealthy dynamics with empaths. 19 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 That kind of perpetual martyr syndrome and perpetual victim syndrome. 20 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And this “Oh, I’m so sensitive and everybody comes to me and I have to protect myself”. 21 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It just seems like a lot of empaths are really unhealthy and I think 22 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that is simply because we haven’t healed. 23 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Anyway, so yeah, I know you and I have talked about this a lot. 24 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 But I want to hear what your opinion is, not just opinion, your experience 25 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 with being highly sensitive, with being empathic. You obviously went through 26 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 a lot and have had to learn how to thrive. And be empowered as an empath, 27 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 not just be protected. 28 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: So, just start off? giggles 29 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Start off. 30 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: I think that, first, what needs to be said is that I’ve never met 31 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 an empath in my life that doesn’t suffer from serious boundary issues. 32 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So the real issue with us is not the empathicness, in and of itself. 33 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It’s the fact that we have serious problems with a sense of self. 34 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, first we should be talking about what healthy boundaries are. 35 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 But I think our major issue that we have is that we take this gift 36 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 and we assume that it has to come with the package of all these 37 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 unhealthy things, right? 38 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right. 39 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: When it really, honestly doesn’t. It could be argued that 40 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 part of what gets people to the place where they are even 41 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 empathic in the first place might be having poor boundaries 42 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 because of the family dynamic that they were in when they were 43 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 younger. So, for example, a little girl says, “I don’t wan’t to do that.” 44 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And mom says, “Oh, come on. Be nice now.” And so she learns to tear 45 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 down her separations. She learns to tear down her definition of 46 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of what is true for her, or what’s right for her versus what is 47 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 right or true for other people. And that enables her to sense 48 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 what everybody else is feeling because they don’t sense the 49 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 difference between themselves and other people. 50 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, that could be one of those contrasting experiences that we 51 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 opt into so we can develop this empathic behavior. But at the same time 52 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 it’s like our evolution is to develop to maintain that connection 53 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 with people where the lines are blurred and we perceive oneness 54 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 more so than other people, but simultaneously where we’re able to 55 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 have a separate sense of self. Sort of like, this is where I 56 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 begin and end. So, a lot of the issues with what to do to keep 57 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 ourselves in a state of integrity as empaths has to do with 58 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 this fact that we have no idea what a healthy boundary is. 59 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 We think of boundaries like fences because what boundary we know. 60 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And fences are really designed to keep other people out. 61 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 What I’d like to explain to people is that is not what a boundary is. 62 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 A boundary doesn’t really have anything to do with other people. 63 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It has to do with your sense of self. 64 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It’s almost like saying, “This is what’s true for me. This is what I like 65 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 and don’t want and don’t like. These are my emotions. This is what I am feeling.” 66 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So we have to have a sense of that and that’s how we know where we start 67 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 and where we end. We’re playing in this third dimension where we have this 68 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 illusion basically of separateness and it’s benefiting us to have this 69 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 illusion of separateness right now. and as long as we know it’s an 70 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 illusion, which we don’t have to help empaths with that aspect 71 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 because we know it’s an illusion. But we have to help empaths to feel 72 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 safe to engage in that illusion sometimes. So, rather than a boundary 73 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 meaning “This is what I’m going to let you do and not do to me”. 74 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 A boundary is about what I say “yes” to relative to myself. 75 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, when you’re thinking about other people encroaching on you 76 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I can say “no” to you, or I can say “yes” to me. 77 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, sometimes saying “no” to you is saying “yes” to me. 78 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Where as other times me saying “no” to you is just that. 79 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right 80 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: It’s me resisting you. And that’s going to do nothing, but 81 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 bring it closer, which is the number one argument empaths 82 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 protecting themselves is that it is not possible to focus on 83 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 resisting something, which is what you’re doing when you’re 84 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 “protecting yourself”. It’s like a shield. When I bring up 85 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 a shield I am protecting myself, which means I am resisting 86 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 something that is coming at me. So you can’t focus at the 87 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 idea of protection while simultaneously creating the idea 88 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of something that you need to protect yourself against. 89 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. So I’ve talked about this a lot, and one of the 90 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 biggest things I always get people saying back to me, especially 91 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 people who are empathic and have other extra-sensory abilities as well, 92 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 is that the psychic realm is real and psychic attack is real and there’s 93 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 a lot of really dangerous things out there. And to tell someone that they 94 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 don’t need to protect themselves is like giving them no armor against what 95 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 could potentially be incredibly dangerous for them. 96 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So what would you say, especially in those sort of realms like the psychic 97 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 realm, what would you say to that? 98 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: I would state that it is very dangerous to engage in those types of thoughts. 99 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 As an empath you are more acutely aware of the oneness that exists, but the 100 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 moment that you say you have to protect yourself against something you’re 101 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 ignoring the fact that the aspect that you’re mirroring is actually yourself. 102 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Basically we could concern ourselves all day long with trying to fix the 103 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 reflection in the mirror, or we could try to fix whatever it is that is 104 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 causing the reflection. So, when empaths are trying to say I want to protect 105 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 myself against all of these psychic attacks they’re essentially stepping in 106 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 front of a mirror and seeing that they’re a match to feeling like victims. 107 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And then they’re trying to scrub the reflection clean without saying “Okay, 108 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 obviously for me to be a match to psychic attack…” I want you to think 109 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 about it like this, like there’s two magnets. For psychic attack to actually work 110 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 one side of you can be engaged. So, let’s say that this is a demon. 111 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Let’s just pretend. So, a demon basically is trying to get into you or 112 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 another person’s energy is trying to get into you. It can’t actually 113 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 make the connection unless this side, kind of like a negative aspect 114 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of the magnet is magnetized to the degree that it goes like this… 115 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 slaps hands together 116 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right. 117 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: It does not matter what anyone is focusing at you in this reality unless you are 118 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 a match to it. 119 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly 120 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: So really the question is, “Why am I a match to all these things coming 121 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 at me in such an extreme way?” And this is why the practice of completely 122 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 opening yourself up to these energies is so powerful. Because when you do that 123 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you’re acknowledging to some degree that you are welcoming of it. 124 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So you’re not resisting it anymore. And we realize that in this reality 125 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that anything that we resist persists, right? 126 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, if I resist that demon coming at me I am now focusing on that 127 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 demon coming at me and I am making myself a match to it. 128 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 If in that moment, a demon is coming at me and I open myself up. 129 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I’m actually able to do this. This is not like something that 130 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I’m not wanting to do. So let’s say that I am actually able 131 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to open myself up and saying, “I welcome and receive you as my teacher”. 132 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I have a complete… like my polarity basically is not negative/positive. 133 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It can’t connect, right? 134 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right. 135 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: I have just given them a vibration that they are not a match to. 136 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right. 137 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: So if anything wants to attack me… This is like a really, really ancient 138 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 philosophy which even the martial artists understand, which is that I am 139 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 able to completely open myself up to the bullet it cannot go off. 140 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I am now bending the space-time reality because I made myself a 141 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 non-match to the experience. So what I am calling empaths to do, 142 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 which was the major changing point in my life is that I am calling 143 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 empaths to create a vibration of such magnitude that they are able to 144 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 be an ocean that absorbs everything that everything is diluted in. 145 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 We as empaths, our issue is that we visualize ourselves because of 146 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 our poor boundaries as very, very small and very weak. And everyone’s 147 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 intruding on us. If we could come into this space where we’re saying, 148 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 “You know what? Maybe I was given this ability for a reason. Maybe 149 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I am capable of transmuting everyone’s vibrations.” 150 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 We are actually switching to a frequency that is so high that we can’t 151 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 become a match to experiencing the attack. 152 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I’m like the perfect, prime example of this. 153 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I am not the person that came up with this idea regardless of understanding 154 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the way that the universe works. I was the person who was at 17, 18, 19, 155 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 “I can’t go outside without my hoodie on because even that’s just too much 156 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 energy coming in towards me. I’m not cut out for this world.” 157 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 This is what most empaths are like, right? “I’m too sensitive. 158 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And this world is not, so maybe I’m not meant to be here.” 159 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Mm-hmm 160 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: So when I went to China originally this guy was watching me and 161 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 said this makes no sense. You have to understand that whenever you walk 162 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 into a room with that vibration you are match to things like it. 163 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I didn’t understand the correlation until he made me do it. 164 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 He said, “See right now, you’re cowering as this person is walking towards you. 165 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Do you feel the energy of that and what that might be a match to?” 166 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So then he takes me to this train station and he says, “Stop doing that! 167 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 When people walk in I want you to think about yourself being big enough with 168 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 enough magnitude of breathing all of these energies in.” 169 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I did, and I expected the worst, right? 170 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 But I am in a place as an empath, which most of us are, which is like, 171 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 “You know it’s really not worth living this way anyway. So, why not? If I 172 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 get annihilated by this practice, it’s just going to be what I was 173 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 planning on doing to myself anyway.” So I go and I breath it in and 174 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 after a few breaths I realized, “Oh my God, nothing’s happening to me right now 175 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 because of this.” Because I had this open attitude there’s nothing really 176 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 for these energies to hit against. So you’re not feeling the impact. 177 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And that like shifted absolutely everything in my life. I was able to 178 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 go out into public. I stopped wearing hoods. Y’know, it was just amazing. 179 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I really realize that anytime that you’re engaging in this idea of 180 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 protection are you buying into the illusions of self-other, right? 181 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right. Yep. 182 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: You’re really also making yourself a match to attack. 183 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. So what about… I know you’ve said there’s still days that 184 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you feel more vulnerable than others. And what do you do? Do you have any practices 185 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 or things that you do? What I would call discernment, if you know your vibration 186 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 is low for example, do you do certain things to make sure you’re not in situations 187 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that make you more vulnerable? 188 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Oh yeah. Hell yeah. See, this is the difference. The difference is once 189 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you’re conscious of yourself being a match to it, it’s not about the other thing. 190 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Actually, I just figured out why we did this. Okay. 191 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: laughs 192 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: So the day before Halloween, and I have a very hard time because of 193 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 my childhood on Halloween. So I understand that just because that date is coming 194 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 up and that I have body memory because of that date I’m already in a 195 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 lower kind of vibration. And so I went over to this friend’s house and 196 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 basically we made this trip through the woods, and I had this moment. 197 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So she basically told me, “There’s this tree that is by my house that has 198 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 bones that are tied up in the tree.” Now that triggered me… instantly, right? 199 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It’s not something the friend was doing to hurt me, but that triggered 200 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 me because of my associations with bones being tied in trees has to do with my 201 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 childhood. So at that moment I had a choice. This is about poor boundaries 202 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 versus good boundaries. The self-loving version of Teal could have said, 203 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 “I don’t really want to go on a walk by that tree.” Now because I am 204 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 typical of a poor boundary empath I was thinking, “Well, I don’t want to 205 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 make this friend upset. I’m just going to go on the walk anyways.” 206 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, I go on the walk and sure enough I’m in a low vibration the entire 207 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 time I’m on that walk. Later that night I ended up being a match to one 208 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of the worst psychic attacks that I have experienced in years. 209 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: WOW. 210 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Yeah, like super bad. Basically I woke up and I was in complete sleep 211 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 paralysis and I was blended between the fourth and third dimension and 212 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 there was this enormous leathery red… It was a demon-looking thing on top of me. 213 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Now, PANIC, FREAK OUT. Stand up. Smudged the entire house with Paulo Santo and I’m 214 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 like, “What the hell is it about this that is destroying my reality. Maybe I 215 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 can’t hang out with that friend anymore. Maybe she’s psychic attacking me, right?” 216 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I’d go into the typical thing that we do. Now, I sat down after calming 217 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 myself down and decided to do what I can do, which is to see what happened 218 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 on a conscious level so it’s not happening in dream time and sleep time 219 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 when we’re in between. And what I discovered was quite interesting. The place that 220 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 we were walking actually made me a match to this thought-form which was created 221 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 here in Park City by the people who used to be miners here. So, the story 222 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 goes like this… There was a miner that came into Prospect and it used to be that 223 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 they would pay a certain amount to go to a certain place and be able to dig 224 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 there for a certain amount of days. Now, the place this guy wanted to dig 225 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 was given to another Prospector and he basically thought that was a personal 226 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 vendetta. So he got really angry about that personal vendetta and he ended 227 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 up going there and killed the guy very brutally and then he moved the 228 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 body, and in the process this body bled out, basically. So, it had no more 229 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 blood in it. And so when he moved it to this place and then left it and he skipped 230 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 town, the people that then found the body and saw that it was bloodless and had 231 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 slash marks on his neck they basically thought, because a lot of them came from 232 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the east coast, that this has to be like the Jersey Devil. 233 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 They thought there was one of these things in Park City. So it becomes a belief 234 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 in the group of people who were living here that every inexplicable thing that 235 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 was blamed on this Park City version of the Jersey Devil. But if you understand 236 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 thought-form, people who believe in something enough, they can actually create 237 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 a multi-dimensional thought-form which is what they thought it was. And that 238 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 was what I picked up on my hike because of being in that victim vibration. 239 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, I helped it to cross over and all this other stuff. I explained to it that 240 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 they don’t believe in you anymore. You don’t have to exist anymore, so that’s 241 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 done. The reason I am telling you this story is because it would be very easy 242 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to say that I need to protect myself because there are all these things that 243 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 are going to attack me. What it really is, is recognizing that I was already triggered 244 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 prior to going out, which is what made me a match to that experience. It was 245 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that connection of the magnet. So it’s about, “What do I do next time?” 246 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Okay, if I feel that feeling of “This is not right for me”, I get to honor that. 247 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And so like, really the majority… I have a lot of practice which I could talk to 248 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you about. But the number one thing for me and for all empaths is to realize 249 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 how to freaking honor our feelings, which WE DON’T DO. 250 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. I know for me that’s one of the number one reasons whenever I 251 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 have become a match to something that is like that. Or I’m extremely triggered 252 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 and then I feel like a victim or something happens in that way, or I get 253 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 psychically attacked it’s because of that exact thing. I haven’t 254 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 honored my feelings and honored what I knew I was told or what I felt. 255 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And actually you helped me a lot. A few months ago I remember I had sent you a text 256 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 because I was feeling psychically attacked and that never happens to me. Like I’ve 257 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 never really had that happen, but a particular person I was working with was 258 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 pretty mentally disturbed. I had triggered this person somehow and I could feel 259 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the… It almost felt like a penetration on my third-eye. Very intense. And I could always 260 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 recognize this person’s energy signature. And I know these things, but I remember 261 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 texting you because it was so overwhelming and so shocking. And I had never 262 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 experienced that before. And you kind of gave me some suggestions with essential 263 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 oils, but the main thing you said was to do a lot of inner-child work around 264 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 feeling victimized. And I spent about three days just recognizing what that 265 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 feeling was, when the first times was that I felt this way, going within, and asking my 266 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 inner-child what she needed. And realizing as I honored that and I went to her and did 267 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 not make it about the other person at all, and then it complete went away and I 268 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 have not felt it since. 269 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Yep. 270 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: And it also makes you feel empowered because you realize that it isn’t 271 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 something out of your control. This is within me. I can go in and I can deal with 272 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 it, rather than it being something scary out there that you have no control over. 273 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Exactly. Which is what we have to get away from as empaths because we 274 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 run the risk more than any other type of person of falling into that trap 100%. 275 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So, I have to be very careful with my vibration. That is what I have decided about 276 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 myself over the years through a lot of trial and error. Basically, because you’re 277 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 an empath you run the risk of this ability going super, super south on you and 278 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 attracting only bad feeling things, right? And that is not an objective picture of 279 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 reality. We have to understand that. As empaths the objective picture of reality 280 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 is that we should be feeling equally as much as bad, if not more good than bad, 281 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 because more good actually does exist in this universe. So, if that’s not the case 282 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that means we have a vibration which makes us only a match to seething things 283 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 which are negative. So I have to watch it with my vibration from the get-go. 284 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 That means the minute I wake up in the morning I have my positive aspects journal. 285 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Now this thing has been like a God-send for me because it makes me a vibrational 286 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 match to these things I write down. Now this might sound like a really super 287 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 kind of trite self-help technique, but the reality is if you are going to acknowledge 288 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that we live in a Universe that is governed by Law of Attraction, whatever vibration 289 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I get into dictates what I am a match to. So when I wake up in the morning I will 290 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 take this out and write an entire page about things that I feel good about right now, 291 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 or today. I have to focus on anything that causes me to feel emotionally good. 292 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 That is how I start my day. Now that ensures, basically, that I’ve started a snowball 293 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of attraction in my life where I wake up and my day starts going good. So, when 294 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 people come to me for help, it’s not like people who come to me don’t come with 295 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 negative things. What it is is that I’m more a match to seeing the solutions 296 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 then I am a match to seeing the problems. The problems are something I’m aware 297 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of, but it’s not something that becomes mine. Make sense? 298 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right. 299 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: So I’m able to hold a much higher frequency for people who come to see me 300 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 then I would otherwise have been. And I do this exercise when I wake up and when 301 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I go to sleep. So, that’s one example. All empaths basically have to take the bull 302 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 by the horns of their own vibration. It’s not about what I’m allowing you to do or 303 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 not do. It’s about what I am doing to ensure that I am good and okay. And that’s 304 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 going to be different for every single one of us. It’s like a lot of us that are 305 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 empaths really need to learn to be divas. And being a diva is not about what I am 306 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 telling you to do or not to do around me, right? It’s more about me honoring what 307 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I need. So if I am sort of convinced that it is a diva thing that I have to take a 308 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 bath in salt every single morning, then that is what I have to do. 309 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right laughs 310 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: So, we have to start experimenting with how good it feels and how less you need 311 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to protect yourself when you really set things up from the get-go. That means that 312 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you develop relationships with people who are completely open from the beginning. 313 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So when any issue comes up you expose it completely. You and I were 314 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 practicing this a little bit before you left California. You remember how we were 315 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 sitting down and I was telling you about this reception process where 316 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 it feels really good for empaths to explain to each other what the motive for 317 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 doing things is, both the shadow aspects and the positive aspects. That enables us 318 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to feel safer right? So maybe that’s something that you need and that is in alignment 319 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 with your own personal boundaries in your relationships. So let’s say you, Amanda, gave 320 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 me a present and I ask you why you gave me this present. And then the practice in our 321 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 relationship is you saying the full truth about why you did that. Maybe one part is 322 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 maybe you really like to see me happy or maybe the other part is that you feel guilty 323 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that you didn’t respond to my phone call. 324 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: It just keeps everything in the open. And when someone is honest from the 325 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 get-go about even the shadow side of what their motives are it makes it so that there 326 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 isn’t any hidden agenda or something that is going to come up unexpectedly. 327 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Completely. So not to be totally weird and plug stuff in here, but I do 328 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 actually have a really good resource for people who really want to understand 329 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 about boundaries and start figuring out their own boundaries and conceptualizing 330 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 what the hell that even means. I did a YouTube video that is called something like 331 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 “How to Have Healthy Boundaries”. Maybe if you go to YouTube and you type in 332 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 “Teal Swan Healthy Boundaries” and it may come up that way. I explain what boundaries 333 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 are and questions you can ask yourself that help you to develop your own boundaries. 334 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I explain something in that video that is super crucial, which I want to repeat 335 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 here for people who are empathic, which is that you can get really complicated 336 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 with all types of boundaries. religious boundaries, spiritual boundaries, personal 337 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 boundaries, relationship boundaries, whatever they are, right? But you can sum 338 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 them all up in this way… You always know what your boundaries are based on how 339 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you feel. So I’m watching this program and I know that this just causes a 340 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 contraction in me and I realize I don’t like watching this movie. That is a 341 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 personal boundary. And so you will basically the most important thing that you can 342 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 possibly do is care how you feel more than anything else. 343 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Which is why I think there is a correlation at least in the empaths 344 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that I’ve worked with. I would say 95% of them have come from an abusive background 345 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 and childhood. People argue that empathic abilities are something you’re born with 346 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 and it doesn’t matter if you were abused. But I do think that you can be trained 347 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 from children to, I know with me it’s kind of a preemptive thing that if I can 348 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 read everyone around me then I can prepare for whatever might happen or get out 349 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of any situation which might be uncomfortable. And so we’re basically from a young 350 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 age trained out of paying attention to how we feel and trained instead to tune into 351 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the environment around us. 352 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Perfect. Could not have said that better if I tried. 353 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: laughs 354 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Because that is exactly the case with empaths. And empaths do not want 355 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to see themselves in that light most often so they’d rather just think that this 356 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 is just a god-given gift that makes them feel like they are in a state of 357 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Martyrdom for the rest of their lives. But that’s not the reality. The reality 358 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 is let’s keep the baby and throw out the bath water. The bath water is a lot of 359 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 us developed these abilities because we had seriously dangerous people we had to 360 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 read before they hurt us, or we were surrounded by people who wouldn’t love us 361 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 unless we honored their boundaries and not ours. So it’s like once we acknowledge 362 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that we are going to be able to get rid of the negative aspects of this, and keep 363 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the positive aspects of this. Which is really what we are all looking to do. 364 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I don’t really want people to turn themselves off to it. I hate that too when people 365 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 ask me, “Can you switch it off?” like it’s some sort of virtue. 366 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: When you read things about empaths it almost makes it sound like either you 367 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 have some special god-given gift that sets you apart from other people, or, you’re 368 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 defective and you need to learn how to turn it off. And I could never resonate 369 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 with anything, not that I’ve explored everyone that talks about empaths, but things 370 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that have come into my awareness usually haven’t been very helpful. So, it’s one 371 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of the things that I really resonated with you when we talked about it and how 372 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 important it is to really just connected with how you feel. And one of the things that 373 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I think… There’s been a lot of talk about Light Workers and the believing that 374 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 there is a spiritual hierarchy and the light versus dark and that whole battle. 375 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I think that empaths really get sucked into that especially if we’ve come 376 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 from a background of abuse we so badly want to feel like we have value. 377 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And to feel like, “Oh, we can be important. We can be important to someone. We can 378 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 be on the Light Worker’s side. We can fight evil and all of the people that hurt us.” 379 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 It kind of drums up that kind of same aggressor/victim/savior mentality. And that 380 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 is a cycle we’ve been in for so long and I think when we really get out of that and 381 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 we take 100% responsibility for how we feel, and what happened to us, and our 382 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 vibration, we get out of that whole cycle. And we realize we are the aggressor, 383 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 we are the victim, we are the savior. You know, we don’t have to facilitate those 384 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 roles. 385 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Oh, I love that. At my last workshop I had the Christians up on stage and 386 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 we had a really good little conflict argument thing happened when I was trying to 387 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 explain to him that Jesus and The Devil are the same person. Which is 100% true. 388 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 The higher you progress through the spiritual levels you realize that regardless 389 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 if you are coming from this angle or that angle, it is all trying to get you to 390 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the same place, which is your own truth. 391 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. So would you say that really learning to thrive and be empowered 392 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 with being sensitive is similar to doing shadow integration. 393 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Yes. Hell yes. I think it’s a one-two step that we’re missing basically. 394 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So when we have these negative aspects arise rather than trying to escape from it 395 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 by trying to do whatever makes us feel positive instantly. Whenever that thing 396 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 arises and I’ve already got the negative up, we go into that and we learn from it 397 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 because it has extremely valuable information to share with you. And you also 398 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 realize that the majority of these painful things that keep coming up for you is 399 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 in fact wounded children that are still way back stuck in the past. You’re 400 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 like a skipping CD that just can’t move forward. So when you assist those 401 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 aspects of yourself back into an integrated state where you’re bringing them into 402 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 yourself and you’re accepting that there is no resistance to those states and 403 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 instantly your vibration is like a buoy that was brought under water and instantly 404 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 just boils back to the surface. And then the one-two step is, first we’re doing 405 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that, and second we feel the relief and association with actually allowing 406 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 yourself to feel how you feel and explore how you feel to the negative. 407 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Once you feel the relief that’s your indication that you can begin creating 408 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 your reality. That’s the stuff most people already know how to do because 409 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 there’s enough teachers to sink a ship that are teaching that. Stuff like 410 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 positive aspect journals, affirmations. That’s the point to use that. We 411 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 don’t want to use that stuff to get away from the negative aspects that we 412 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 feel. Because those are essentially hurt aspects of ourselves. Okay, classic 413 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 empath issue is Number One: Self-Abandonment. So, self-abandonment… We can 414 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 conceptualize of what that means, of course. Self-abandonment is like a great 415 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 many things. At the primal level, self-abandonment occurs when we try to escape 416 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 how we feel. When you’re triggered and you don’t feel good and you don’t feel 417 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 significant. That’s actually an indication that there’s an unhealed aspect 418 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of yourself stuck in a childhood version of you that is basically a three 419 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 year old you that is basically crying and making you feel insignificant in 420 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 real time. So by you trying to skip out and saying, “Focus on the happy place. 421 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Focus on the happy place.” You are basically trying to escape from a three year 422 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 old child. It’s not that you’re like so powerful that you can finally face the demons 423 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 because you do realize that most of these demons are like tiny children 424 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that are begging you to pick them up out of the damn crib. And once you do that 425 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you develop the understanding that it’s not scary anymore. These things are like 426 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 ghosts that are projected through frightened children. And then you develop 427 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 this loving vibration towards yourself. So when you start to feel this way you 428 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 don’t instantly abandon yourself by going in the opposite direction of how you 429 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 actually feel and the truth of yourself right now. And that’s like a major step 430 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 when it comes to developing boundaries. 431 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. And there’s something incredibly empowering about as an empath is 432 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 making sure to check in constantly with how I feel. And then I connect with it. 433 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I say, “That’s okay. It’s okay.” I will no longer abandon myself is how 434 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I feel. 435 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: We’re doing a quote right now which all empaths need to, like, keep this. 436 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Put it deep in your cerebellum, okay? The quote is, “The problem is not how you 437 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 feel. The problem is that you do not feel safe to feel how you feel.” 438 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. Yep. Exactly. And when you open that and allow yourself to 439 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 feel what you feel and make it safe for yourself, at least in my experience, 440 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that has changed everything. I’ve had more growth in the last year when I made 441 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the commitment that I will no longer abandon myself and how I feel. I’ve had 442 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 more growth with this than eight years of therapy prior to that. 443 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: I feel like we also need to let ourselves go in graduated steps so we need 444 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to be okay with what is. And that means being super honest with ourselves. I 445 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 watch a lot of empaths that feel a psychic attack from somebody, and they feel 446 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that negative energy. They instantly go to a place either where they make an 447 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 enemy of that person or they say “No, I can completely love and accept where they are 448 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 right now”, and that’s lying to yourself. “I’m not right there. Maybe I hate her 449 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 for that. I hate that she’s doing that to me right now.” That’s a valid feeling 450 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that we need to be able to admit to because unless we’re able to admit to that and 451 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 get angry about it move through that with ourselves, we’re never going to get to the 452 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 high enlightened place where we are able to say, “I can completely understand why 453 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 she did that.” And really mean it. And not like we’re saying it because it’s some sort 454 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of spiritual clothing that we have put on to really hide the way that we feel. 455 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. Well, and I think that, again that it goes back to the whole 456 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Light Worker mentality. it tends to breed that type of… You cut off a huge part 457 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of your emotional field. There’s some emotions that are acceptable and a lot of them 458 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that are not, so you only play in the ones that are “acceptable”, but you’re really 459 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 just denying what you feel. You’re suppressing. 460 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Which is just the exact same thing that happened to us when we were children. 461 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 We weren’t allowed to feel how we felt. There were some emotions that were acceptable. 462 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 So much were unacceptable and so we did whatever we could to deny and suppress the 463 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 aspects that were unsavory to the everyone else around us. Yeah, it’s a self-fulfilling 464 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 cycle with empaths. We’re like doomed because of these abilities we developed/gifts 465 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 unless we really take the bull by the horns of this situation we are doomed to repeat 466 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the relationship we had with our parents with the Universe, itself. We just project 467 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that relationship over the top of the Universe. And it’s a painful… super painful 468 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 life. 469 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: So this is what I’m really interested in. I’m interested in what the life 470 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of an empowered empath looks like. Because what I think what is being an empathic person 471 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 or being highly sensitive can feel like a superpower if you know how to utilize emotions. 472 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: I would say that the life of an enlightened empath, like someone who is really 473 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 in am empowered state is what your archetypal vision of someone like Jesus is. 474 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 And I know some people have a resistance to him. If that’s not what you like, think 475 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 about Buddha. The reason I’m using the example of Jesus is because, not only is it 476 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 relatable to most people in the western world, but there are these images… these really 477 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 classic images of him where he is able to walk in and kneel down at the foot of all of 478 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 these leppers. And not only be able to completely understand where they are and how 479 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 they feel, and because of that, say whatever the perfect thing to say to get them 480 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 into a higher vibration. He also has absolutely no fear. The highest version of an 481 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 empath is a person who is absolutely fearless to anything. That is a person who can go 482 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 into a place that is completely destroyed by leprosy and has absolutely no attack 483 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 or fear that he will come down or become sick with that disease. 484 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: WOW. I love that. 485 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Now try this on for size, and this is where a lot of people are going to be able 486 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to feel the out-of-alignmentness with protection. What would Jesus feel like to walk in 487 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 there who had himself covered in Hazmat material to work with people who had Leprosy. 488 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 That is what we’re doing when we try to protect ourselves from people, as empaths. 489 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: WOW. That’s a really good visual. 490 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: What Jesus did was to create a vibration, himself that was so high and so strong 491 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that it was not a match to the very conditions that he was assisting with. Because 492 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 when he walks into the room and instead of seeing everything that is wrong, and 493 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 worrying about that coming onto him, he saw what was right about them and helped 494 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 people line up with that. Look, you’re eternal beings. Look, you are not sinners. 495 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Look, you’re always eternal and beautiful in the eyes of God. To express that 496 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 message helps that person in that low vibration to match that higher vibrations, 497 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 which is why he was able to perform the miracles he was able to perform. 498 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: I know what the classic bible versions say, but what do you think he 499 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 innately knew about himself that allowed him to do that? 500 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: I think he knew, back then, what all these new age teachers are now starting 501 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to teach thousands of years after the fact. See, if you understand that language it 502 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 gets very complicated because a lot of the translations lost the virtual message. 503 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 For example, in the culture he was first living in and in that language the very 504 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 word “son” means “creation”. So the problems there is that we have interpreted what 505 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 he was saying as “I am the literal, only son of God” when in reality that very word 506 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 could have meant “I am the creation of God, therefore I am not separate from God”. 507 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Which is the same damn thing everybody is saying nowadays in the new age, which is 508 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you are an extension of God and as such you are an eternal creator, which is why 509 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 you can turn water into wine. So, I feel like what was really going on with him was 510 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that he had mastered this concept within the Universe, same as Buddha, that you are 511 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 absolutely indivisible from his thing that you keep praying to, and because of that 512 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 the amount of power that you have, and this is not power you have over other people, 513 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 this is power of what your life looks like. This is that you cannot be a victim to 514 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 any person, or any condition. And love is the absolute truth of your existence. 515 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 That love is God and therefore God is you. And if you’ve tapped into that you’ve 516 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 tapped into everything you need to know about yourself. That’s what I think. 517 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: I love it. Yeah, I think you’re dead on. It definitely resonates. 518 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Jesus was an empath. If you want me to tell you, if you look at all of these 519 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 archetypal figures throughout history who have these extra-sensory abilities, if you 520 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 want to find the cardinal empath, it was him. Buddha was more the clairvoyant. 521 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Jesus was the empath. 522 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: I’ve never really thought about it like that. Yeah, it’s very true. So is 523 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 there anything else that you want to cover on this topic of being empathic? 524 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Just that I feel like that those of us that are empaths really need to learn 525 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 how to step into our power and quit forgetting that we have it. And the reality is 526 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 regardless of whether you developed these abilities because of some negative 527 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 circumstance in your childhood or not, it is still a gift and a skill that you 528 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 developed. And if you have a gift or skill, that probably means that you’re 529 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 meant to use them. And if you have a gift like that you probably have the capability 530 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 of doing exactly what I described, where you walk into a circumstance absolutely 531 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 unafraid of what is going to come at you because you know that your heart can contain it. 532 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: I love that. Super powerful stuff. It’s so encouraging to hear people speak 533 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 about empaths from an empowering point of view, rather than “Oh, protect yourself. 534 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 You’re vulnerable.” 535 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Well, does that feel in alignment? I mean, we need to ask ourselves 536 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 even about that. Does that feel like it’s true? 537 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Right. It doesn’t. It doesn’t feel like it’s true. Yeah. Well, I’m so happy 538 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that we were able to talk about this. I know that we were going to do this in person, 539 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 but then our schedules kind of mixed up. But thank you so much for doing this. I 540 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 think this is going to be really good. I’ll share it publicly as well. I’ll put it 541 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 in my group, and you can share it if you want to because I feel it will speak 542 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to a lot of people. 543 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Yeah, I think so too. I think there are a hell of a lot of empaths who need a 544 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 hell of a lot of help on how to live. And it would be fun sometime to do a 545 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 workshop, I think, because obviously this is just the skin surface. 546 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Exactly. 547 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: Whereas I feel like we need to develop ways, y’know, like actual, tangible ways 548 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 that we as empaths can feel that empowerment in our environment. I would like to 549 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 actually do workshops where we had examples of how to approach people of what an 550 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 empath would normally do, which is probably out of alignment with what we do instead, 551 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 which help us to come into alignment. 552 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: I love that. I mean, it’s so needed. I just started my group online, my group 553 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 on Facebook. I’ve had so many sign up for that group and so many people sign up for 554 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 my class. So many people are desperate for something different. Not just how 555 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 to protect yourself, but “How can we be empowered?” How can we come into 556 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 alignment? I love your example of Jesus. How can we walk into situations fearlessly? 557 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 I think we should totally do a workshop. I think it would be huge. 558 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal: I’ll do it. 559 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Amanda: Let’s do it. 560 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 Teal and Amanda: laughing 561 99:59:59,999 --> 99:59:59,999 -End Closed Caption Transcript-
