[Interview with a new member]

My name is Shion Suzuki.

I'm 22 years old and I'm 
a senior at Rikkyo university.

I work as a model.

[HOW DID YOU BECOME A MODEL?]
I participated in a beauty pageant

when I was in my second year
and I got an offer.

I declined, because I didn't 
want to become an actor

and I thought acting wasn't for me.

But I've started questioning 
why I limited myself there.

After I finished job hunting,

there was a casting for a 
magazine called 'FINEBOYS'

and my friend and I decided to go.

I participated because 
I thought it couldn't hurt,

and I ended up in first place.

That's when I changed my career path.

Right now, I'm a regular model 
for this magazine

and I'm planning to pursue
my acting career at the same time.

[REASON FOR JOINING <i>TH</i>]
I've been playing soccer for a long time,

but I've had many people 
tell me that I'm lacking talent.

So I've never actually been 
able to achieve anything.

Since I was in elementary school, 
my dream was

to take part in the All Japan 
High School Soccer Tournament

and I'd been selecting schools 
based on that.

But I wasn't good enough,
so I didn't get to participate.

And since I'd always been focusing 
on soccer, I didn't study

and I took a year off to 
study for entrance exams.

I also didn't do well in beauty pageants
as a university student.

So I haven't been able
to win a lot of things in my life.

But by joining <i>Terrace House</i>, 
I hope to start a winning streak.

I guess I'm part of the loser's club--
I've always attended all-boys schools

and I was always involved in 
after-school activities,

so I never got to go out with girls,

and I only got to do that for 
a little bit after I entered university.

So another reason why I want to join TH 
is that I want to learn about dating.

[HOW POPULAR WERE YOU WITH THE GIRLS?]
When I was in high school

sometimes students from other schools
would come to see me play soccer.

[HOW MANY GIRLS HAVE CONFESSED TO YOU?]
Well, thankfully...

About... eight?
Less than 10.

[YOUR PAST RELATIONSHIPS]
My last girlfriend...

She... wanted to see me every day.

Before we became a couple,

I told her I'd only want to 
meet about once a week.

And she accepted that,

but then she started asking me 
every single day what I was doing,

so I was like, "What is going on?"

My girlfriend had become 
like a work shift to me.

It was like once or twice a week--

My schedule was like, 
"Work, girlfriend. Girlfriend, work."

I realized that this way I wouldn't 
have enough time for myself,

so we broke up.

I like girls who...

The most important thing is that 
she's attentive to others.

Consideration for others 
on top of a good personality.

Like, when she takes care of things 
you weren't thinking about,

or when you're not looking.
I like that.

As for looks...

I like girls with full lips.

The first thing I look at is the lips.

My lips are pretty big...

It's kind of a complex, 
so I prefer women with full lips.

[LIVING WITH OTHERS]
Living with others is--

Well, I've been going to a lot of 
training camps, so there's that

but I've never lived with girls before

and I've never lived with anyone
for a longer period of time.

I'm looking forward to it, 
but I'm also feeling kind of insecure.

For example, I wake up very easily.

So there are some insecurities there.

What I usually do is

I will back off without saying 
anything and that's it.

But since I'll be living with others 
for a longer period of time,

if there's something that I think 
needs to be changed, I will say so.

[WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST?]
I'm not sure if I should say this

when I'm about to start 
living with others,

but I really enjoy spending time alone.

Watching videos on YouTube 
about insects...

I like insects and reptiles and stuff.

I like to watch how they feed.

Like, swallowing their prey whole.

[YOUR IDEAL DATE]
I like spending time at the park

and taking it easy.

Rather than the hustle and bustle, 
I'd like to go to a calm place.

[HOW DO YOU WIN YOUR CRUSH OVER?]
Well...

Filling the gaps in a conversation-- 
Or how would you say?

I will say something that corresponds 
to the person I'm on a date with.

Like, "I like people who are like this,"

indirectly showing her that 
she's hitting the mark.

By saying stuff like, 
"I like people who are like that,"

or "I've never done this or that before,"
I'll show her that she's special

and she'll tell me what kind of guys 
she likes and I will adjust to that.
