Welcome back to "The Prayer Link".
And there is no doubt
that we are heading into darker times,
and some might even say
that we're heading into the last days.
Some do say, but one man is crying out
for the church to wake up
and become light in the darkness.
And he is kickstarting believers
to heal the sick, preach the gospel,
cast out demons
and be led by the Holy Spirit.
Take a look.
What does it mean that the tomb is empty?
It means that He's alive.
So, if He's alive, than we can have
a relationship?
Yeah.
Lungs be restored again.
Grow in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Can you... (inhale)?
- Oh, Allah!
Ladies and gentlemen,
this is Mambo No. 5.
I knew that me, my family and
everyone around me
needed to be baptized, needed to
draw closer to Jesus.
The Last Reformation
The Life
And Torben Sondergaard produced
"The Last Reformation"
and it started a global movement
by the same name
and he joins us to share more.
Torben, welcome to the "Prayer Link".
Thank you!
"The Last Reformation - The Life"
is a sequel to your first movie. Right?
Tell us about it.
First, the reason we call it
"The Last Reformation" is because...
The first reformation was with Martin Luther.
We saw that from Germany.
But Martin Luther did not reform
the Catholic Church back to the Book of Acts.
We saw few changes here and there,
but where is the life?
Where is the power of God?
Where is being led by the Holy Spirit?
Where is the healing?
Where is the casting out demons?
Where is the preaching?
Where is the baptism with full immersion?
All of this, Martin Luther did not reform.
And we need a new reformation,
and hopefully, it's the last one
before Jesus comes back,
because He's coming back soon.
And there is just a longing to come back
to the real life we read about in the Bible.
Torben, you said this has kickstarted
a global movement. Tell us about that.
God took us on a journey, me and my wife,
many years ago, and we are still
on a journey today. But on that journey
we started to ask a lot of questions.
Why do we do the church the way we do it?
Like, I've been working as an evangelist,
I've done church plant,
but out in that desert, we looked back at
our life and looked at the church from outside
and then we had the Bible. And we looked
at the early church, the Book of Acts,
how they were living, and I:
"Something is wrong."
Like, I do ministry, I preach, but
I didn't see this life.
At one time in our life
we came to a point we lost everything
and we came to that point:
We have nothing more to lose.
Let's just say it as it is.
Let's just give it out.
And then we found out that when you
start to say it, it just...
...did something in people's hearts.
And many people, actually,
came to me and said: Torben, you just put
words on what we already had on our hearts.
Something is wrong,
something is happening right now.
And it started with a book I wrote
called "The Last Reformation"
and suddenly became a movement
there's all over the world,
and now we see hundreds of thousands
people healed,
we see ten thousands of people
come to faith.
And what is beautiful is -
it's for every believer.
And I think that is the main thing.
We have lost, first, the gospel,
we have lost the life,
we have lost the focus on discipleship
and the understanding that God
wants to use every believer.
You don't have to be ordained,
you don't have to be on a seminary
and the Bible school.
You can learn, learn through discipleship
to preach the gospel.
You can learn through discipleship
to heal the sick, to cast out demons.
And it doesn't have to happen
in a platform in a church.
It can happen in a living room,
it can happen all over.
I was in Paris a year ago.
We were standing outside the Eiffel Tower.
And a girl came and we started
to preach the gospel
and a demon manifested. She fell down,
she got set free from a demon,
outside the Eiffel Tower, with a group
of 300-400 people who came
and were standing around...
You're just standing outside the Eiffel Tower
public?
Public. When we saw the deliverance
public there,
I was like...
But at the same time,
if you just take the Bible, it happened
out there, it happened among the people.
They never took it inside the room
and said:
Now deliverance has to be ten hours
of counseling, in a room.
No, we counsel when it needs counseling,
but when we need to cast out demons -
we cast out demons. I think that
have been lost. And it's happening now.
So, tell me this, Torben.
You are facing some persecution in Denmark.
Tell us what's been happening?
I love Jesus and we have looked a lot
about the discipleship
and Jesus have sent us to go out,
preach the gospel, heal the sick,
cast out demons, all of that.
- Right.
Together with that comes the persecution.
Jesus said: They will whip you in
their synagogues.
That is the religious people who are
persecuting us. We have done that.
The next thing He said is that they will
put us in front of counselors in court cases.
We haven't experienced that, but
it's been crazy in Denmark, so...
In the beginning of January
we experienced a massive persecution.
And it, actually, ended up that we are
seeking asylum in America now.
The 24th of January me and my family
packed eight suitcases
and we left Denmark. They have now
put a law in Denmark.
They talked about me in the Danish
government.
They've put a law. By law it's illegal
to cast out demons in front of kids.
Unbelievable! Oh wow!
In front of kids?
Yeah, in front of kids or handicap.
Just in front of and do it,
plus, they adopted the mental violence law...
It's just so crazy because...
It's what Jesus said to do?
It's in the Bible.
Yeah, it is. And then they have
the mental violence law,
and how do you define the mental violence.
Physical violence you know
if you hit somebody. Mental violence,
they are actually saying in the Danish law
that if you ground kids on a longer period
that could be mental violence.
Wow!
If you have kids who think they are
homosexual and you, as parents, go...
That could be mental violence.
But the only thing they put in the law
to define it - it was casting demons out.
- Wow!
- But does it look you'll be able to come here?
- It's amazing!
- We don't know yet.
- We're gonna pray for him.
I would say, I'm smiling, I'm excited
about what God is doing,
but the last half of the year have been
the most crazy experience, like...
I've always been proud of being Danish,
have a Danish passport.
We've traveled to 30 countries...
Sure. You don't wanna leave your country.
No. And I never imagined that
this could happen.
And I think also, my message to America
is that, if you never imagined it could happen,
if nothing is changing now,
what I've experienced in Denmark,
with changing of laws and leaving
the country, and persecution,
it's also going to happen in America,
if nothing is changing.
I wish we have more time,
but we will be praying
and our viewers will be praying for you
as well.
Definitely praying for Torben.
That's right. Thanks so much...
