9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Hi, I'm Tom Flats. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Welcome to Hollywood, California.[br]Universal Studios. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Site of the 1998 Mr. Olimpia contest. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Bodybuilders from all over the world[br]are here to compete tonight[br]for the Mr. Olimpia contest. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Bodybuilding's most prestigious event. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 The favorite tonight, of course, is Mr. Olimpia[br]Lee Hayney. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Lee Hayney has won it four times in a row. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Can he win it five times? 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 And can he ever dream of coming close[br]to matching Arnold Shwasticker's record,[br]of wining it seven times? 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Over the years we have heard a lot about[br]the weights of the bodybuilders,[br]in the magazines. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 And, there's a lot of speculatiion. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 This year, it's gonna be official. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 You'll see them,[br]and then you'll know what they weigh. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Take your seats gentlemen. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 First bodybuilder, Richcus Barry. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Rich has focused this year was, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 reducing his body weight over last year. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 He was too heavy last year[br]and appeared to blocky on stage. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 And making his waist look small,[br]he feels he'll be able to be more of a threat, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 more of a viable threat to Lee. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Two hundred nine and a half pounds. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I'm going into this show, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 going in the best that I can be. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 And that's what I wanna do. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I wanna go in, to this show, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 with people saying,[br]"Man, does Barry look phenomenal." 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 "Does Barry look the best shape I've ever seen him?" 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 You know, and to me, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 that's more satisfaction[br]than winning this contest. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 But, you know, I was saying this[br]the whole way training for this contest 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 and out comes down to the wire[br]and I wanna win. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I wanna win this thing bad. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 You know that I feel that I've improved[br]my symetry. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I kept that mass in my upper body,[br]but I lost it all in the waist 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 so I have more of a streamline physique. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Having a small waist but a[br]thicker upper body. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 A thicker back. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Everyone says my back's improved and[br]my arms have improved. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Plus I think that with time and maturity, 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 competing in the Mr. Olimpia. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I started competing in the Mr. Olimpia[br]at 22 years old. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 I was relatively young. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 And being that young,[br]I feel like my muscles haven't matured yet. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 Now being 25, they,[br]they seem to look a lot more mature. 9:59:59.000,9:59:59.000 They have more of that density.
