Translation & Subtitles: thoseguiltyeyes | scandal-heaven.com
Good morning.
I've been posting a bunch of videos rather suddenly recently, haven't I?
I've been thinking that as well.
I've changed my editing style a bit and stopped adding [Japanese] subtitles.
After I started thinking about doing videos as if they're diaries
rather than doing them whenever something happens,
I can just start recording whenever I feel like it.
And so I am filming this video today.
Today,
let's see...
I have a meeting for something to look forward to in the future.
What kind of meeting, you ask?
Every year--
well, it's not decided that I'll make it every year,
but I basically make a zine once per year.
I make a zine when ideas come to me, and they're filled with things that I like.
I had an idea at the end of last year to perhaps make one.
That's what this meeting is for--
or rather, I'll be going to specifically convey the thoughts I have.
That's why I'm really excited.
What shall I talk about today?
Oh yeah, recently--well, this topic's going to take a while to get through,
and I need to head out in another two minutes!
So hold on for a bit.
Should I do it after I get home?
(That's the only choice I have)
That is the only choice I have.
(Yeah)
For the time being, I need to get ready to leave.
I'm cutting this too close.
I'm home.
Ah, I can't wait. I hope I can do it.
Please look forward to the finished item.
I wondered what I should talk about today,
and so there's this really interesting drama I watched recently.
There's this drama called 30 Made ni to Urusakute (Picky Until 30) streaming on Abema TV.
It focuses on a group of four women who are good friends,
and a bunch of stories unfold from there.
I think you can tell by the title,
but turning 30 for women...
Well, this might be regardless of gender,
but turning 30 is a big cutoff point.
I'm currently 30 years old,
and although nothing's changed,
I did feel like, "Oh, I'm turning 30!"
You have ideals that you want to accomplish by the age of 30,
like building your career, becoming the ideal you,
getting married, having kids...
It's a time to think about things realistically.
A lot of things can sting.
It's the drama series that I've enjoyed the most recently.
Is there anyone who's seen it?
If you have, I'd love to talk about it.
(Let's discuss it in the comments)
My childhood friends from back home seem to be getting married and having kids exactly at this time.
And... How should I put it...
I have friends who married someone they dating for a long time and then had a kid,
and also friends whose mothers were like, "You're turning 30 soon. I'd love to have a grandchild."
Looking back, that really was a time when I heard tons of stories like that.
I think I talked about this in a previous video,
about what I'd like to be by a certain age.
I'm not really the type to do that.
But what I said then about wanting to do something at a given time
and to be true to myself applies to a lot of different things.
That's about it.
I'm fine with that.
I'm not really sure what my point is.
Like...it made me think once more that it's good to have a lot of options and ways of thinking.
Also, that drama was just so much fun to watch. It was so interesting.
Also, after the main story concluded....
Wait, this might be a spoiler. Is it okay to mention?
Those who don't want to be spoiled, please skip ahead.
(What's with my hand)
There's a story from a guy's point of view,
and I thought that was also really great.
Stories that feature different standpoints and viewpoints are really great.
(I have a lot of discussion topics on my phone)
Ah, that's right.
My nail tech has the same exact birthday as me.
She's been doing my nails for about 10 years.
Her name's Macchan,
(Love you, Macchan)
and the other day she did my nails, which had broke, before our tour started.
They're painted brown right now.
I have them short for the first time in forever,
and it made me realize that short nails are really cute.
I think I might keep this length for a bit.
So, when she was doing my nails,
she asked me if I watched Love Is Blind [Japan].
It's a dating reality show streaming on Netflix.
I had started watching it little by little after it started airing,
but I hadn't watched it all the way through.
I listened to Macchan talk about it as she did my nails,
and I couldn't believe how exciting it sounded.
As soon as I got home, I watched it all in one go.
The second half of the show is really interesting.
It's such a crazy premise.
It sure is something.
So yeah, I enjoyed watching those series at home.
Please tell me this in the comments.
(Any recommendations or thoughts on the series I mentioned)
It doesn't matter if you've seen these series or not,
but yeah, there are different ways of thinking.
Ultimately, whatever you decide is what's most important.
It's also totally fine to make plans to do something by a certain age.
And I think it's more satisfying when you decide everything for yourself.
That friend whose mother said she wants her to get married and give her a grandchild,
she decided herself to proceed with that decision,
and I think that was great in and of itself.
I don't think it's wrong to be like, "I need to be like this by this age,"
but I'd like for everyone to decide how they want to proceed and enjoy it.
That's always what I think.
So when you're worried about your age or need to give something up,
take a deep breath.
I want you to think that you can do anything at any time.
That wonderful drama I happened upon made me think of that once more.
It was so interesting.
That's about it.
Today's video ended up being another one of me just talking.
Thanks for your hard work today!
Please make sure to rest up.
I had fun talking a lot.
(It seems like it's the end but it's not)
I always feel kind of awkward when I start and end my YouTube videos.
(I'll do my best)
See you later!
Goodnight!
