Our North America tour starts from today!
We're in Japan and just dropped off our luggage,
exchanged money,
and will board the plane soon.
Today is Tanabata (July 7th),
and my younger sister who's four years younger got married today!
(Congrats x10000000)
I started the day feeling super happy.
(The older sister's off to tour in North America)
We'll be staying for around 20 nights,
so it'll be a pretty long trip lasting around three weeks.
It's been a long time since we've done a trip like that,
so we're excited and will do our best.
Here we go!
We hope to return healthy,
and will play some concerts while doing our best.
I'm off!
I'll record videos in as much detail as possible.
I want to make sure to document this tour.
Also, I want to make sure
to convey things very realistically to our fans in Japan as well.
I'll do my best to do that as much as possible.
I'll be making videos while also playing concerts.
I'll work hard.
I can't wait.
This will be a 12-hour flight.
First, we're heading to Toronto, Canada!
(The third in-flight meal)
(Yakiudon in the morning)
(and bread)
(Watching the videos I downloaded)
(I made my first YouTuber friends)
(They made a video talking about me...)
(It's demonically adorable)
(☑ Kyuppon Channel)
We've arrived in Toronto!
That was long.
We'll now meet up with the local staff and head to the hotel.
The time difference...
We left on July 7th in the evening,
and we arrived on July 7th in the evening.
We have a lot of luggage.
I watched some downloaded YouTube videos during the entire flight.
I've been talking to every day to Suzu from Kyuppon Channel and am really close with her now,
and she had made a video where she talked about me.
It made me really happy.
Ah, did we go the wrong way?
Why do we have to turn around?!
That video was so comforting.
-Can you film [while pushing that cart]?
-I can!
(Different from the nicely-done videos on our official channel)
Filming like this,
(It's true to life)
it's very realistic.
That's HARU.
(I'm thinking of cutting this out)
I have the camera on top of my luggage,
so I apologize if it's all shaky.
(My intonation's shaky)
But I'm really happy.
It's been three or four years...
Has it been four years?
-Four years.
-Four years, huh.
It's our first overseas tour in four years.
This is the first time we've gone that long.
This tour has a pretty tough schedule.
The concert schedule itself is like that,
but we'll also be doing things like filming during our downtime.
Our schedule's pretty packed every day.
But...
Since this is our first long-haul tour in forever,
I wanted to document it. I'll do my best.
We can't get out of the airport at all.
This too...
What kind of trip will this be?
You know...
The videos that Suzu makes...
Kyuppon Channel is a couple's channel,
and I've been liking and watching their videos for a long time.
I introduced her on one of our fan club videos and we got close after that.
She also came out to a concert.
We talk to each other a lot.
Since it's a couple's channel,
the boyfriend is TK Entertainer.
TK and Suzu run the channel.
But I don't know what I should call my friends' boyfriends.
I always called him "Mr. Boyfriend."
So in the video we made, it feels like we're super distant with each other.
That was really funny.
I'll call him TK.
We're out of the airport and are waiting for the bus.
It'll never come.
In Japan I wondered what the weather in Toronto would be like,
and it seemed like it would be really cold.
It said it would be around 16°C/60°F.
But when we got here,
I was relieved that it was actually really comfy temperature.
Right now it might feel the same as it does in Tokyo.
It's pleasantly cool.
It seems like it'll get really cold at night, though.
I wonder if that's true.
Is the bus here?
Is that our bus?
No?
(It's not it)
We weren't able to board the bus.
We'll never get out of this airport.
This is longest we've been trapped at an airport.
We somehow made it to the hotel.
It surprisingly takes a lot out of me every time we depart Japan.
I'm glad that we were all able to get here.
In front of the hotel is...
Ah, the backlight's really strong.
There's nothing.
We're staying at a place close to the airport that was easy to get to.
There's nothing here, though.
We'll each be taking it easy at the hotel.
It's so bright outside,
but it's already this late.
It's already past 8 pm.
So, today we'll be taking it easy at the hotel
and resting up.
We have the entire day free tomorrow.
We'll be fixing our jet lag, adjusting our bodies,
heading out and filming stuff.
That's what tomorrow's looking like.
At any rate, I'm glad we made it here safely.
Since this is our first time in Toronto,
we have no idea what anything will be like, like the audience's vibe.
We're really excited for everything.
We haven't been able to go overseas since the pandemic started,
and in that time our concert style has changed.
In Japan the audience still needs to wear masks and can't vocalize.
There have been new rules like that.
We've been playing concerts amidst those rules.
But over here you don't need masks and can vocalize.
It's been so long since we've performed like that.
We're also looking forward to what it'll be like.
I feel like tearing up just thinking about that.
I'm really looking forward to it.
I really hope we're able to safely play all of the dates.
We'll do our best to take care as much as we can.
I'll also film as much as I can,
though the editing will probably be more rough than usual.
I hope to be able to convey the vibe in real time to those in Japan,
so it would make me happy if you could follow along via my videos.
I'll do my best!
This is what day one has been like.
Thanks!
