[br]Namaste[br]My name is Meghna[br]Most welcome to my channel[br]And today I'm sitting in the Indraprastha Park[br]I read a beautiful book [br]Which I'm going to tell you about.[br]The book is Geetansh Thakur’s Veerta or Balidaan.[br]As the title and book cover convey, [br]The book is written in the patriotic theme.[br]Our India got its independence in the year 1947[br]But how it got it [br]How many sacrifices were made behind it[br]How many heroes shed their blood for the country[br]That's the story which is written in this book by Geetansh Thakur[br]Veerta or Balidaan [br]The story is about Phoolma and Kishan.[br]Kishan, who has his widowed mother,  two brothers and one sister.[br]They all are living in poverty[br]One day Kishan finds out that the Britishers tend to replace his work with machines.[br]He got tensed about his income, his family and how he'll raise his siblings.[br]So he thinks about joining the Army.[br]After joining the Army, he felt guilty about working for the Britishers and harming his own country's citizens.[br]He thinks that I'm beating and hurting them,[br]What kind of independence it is![br]What kind of work am I pursuing![br]But time goes on….[br]And his younger brother joins Independent India movement [br]And show his bravery by protesting against Britishers.[br]Seeing this, Kishan felt empowered and [br]vowed to never work for Britishers.[br]He left the Army and became part of the independence movement.[br]The love interest of Kishan is also portrayed in this story, where[br]Phoolma is his lover.[br]How their love grows with time.[br]Phoolma tries to convince him that he should go and join the Army and work for the country.[br]So this is about the short, beautiful story of this book.[br]Talking about the writing skills, [br]The writer Geetansh used short sentences and has tried to use simple language for the readers.[br]At some points, there is a spelling mistakes [br]which I can understand since it is his first book[br]There are so many writers like Geetansh Thakur who want to communicate their thoughts to the world.[br]They want to say so many things but do not find their way.[br]This is a self-published book of Geetansh.[br]Writers can opt a way of self-publishing their book to communicate their thoughts and opinions to the readers like you and me.[br]The speciality about this book is,[br]When you read this book, [br]you will get to know the situations and environment of the time when India was on its way to independence.[br]Like when Gandhiji reached India, how did he influence the anti-british movement,[br]When bhagat singh stood against the British,how did it affect Kishan [br]and became the inspiration for the youth.[br]These are the types of  imagery that has been shown in the book.[br]On the other hand, the relationship between Phoolma and Kishan is portrayed….[br]When he returns from his military training,[br]He bought  for Phoolma and tried to put it on to her.[br]But Phoolma doesn't accept it,[br]It's really a beautiful scene which is portrayed [br]He says I really love you and brought it for you.[br]But she says I will accept it on the day we will get married.[br]There are many small instances like this that Geetansh has included in the story.[br]Some instances feel so real while reading it almost feels like you are a part of it.
