Hi, we're starting a sermon series
on Sunday called "How to Be Happy"

So I wanted to take a second and talk
about that word, "happy".

In the Bible there's a Greek word,
makarios
-
It can be translated as happy, but
most often it's translated as blessed
-
As in, "blessed are the poor" or
"blessed are the peacemakers"
-
There's a real connection between
feeling blessed and feeling happy
-
So on Sunday I want to talk about
-
One of the things that really cuts us
off from feeling blessed
-
And that's resentment.
-
When we're resentful it's almost
impossible to feel blessed
-
It's a subject that I think
you'll find really helpful
-
