If you think someone else has accessed your account, this video shows you what to do to secure it again.

  1. I think someone has accessed my Yahoo account
  2. Here are some signs that someone else may be using your account
  3. Your Yahoo Mail account has been sending spam
  4. There are emails in your Sent folder that you didnt' send
  5. You send messages but aren't getting any replies
  6. Your account log shows strange login activity
  7. Account information has been deleted or changed without your approval
  8. If you see any of these symptoms, change your password!!
  9. Start from the Yahoo home page
  10. Click your name
  11. Or start from another Yahoo page
  12. Click the gear icon
  13. Select Account Info
  14. You may be asked to re-enter your password
  15. If so, type your current password and click Sign In
  16. Now you can see your account information
  17. Click Account security
  18. Click Change password
  19. Enter your new password
  20. Your new password must be between 8 and 32 characters long
  21. It cannot be a single character repeated and cannot contain your name or your Yahoo ID
  22. It cannot be the same as or similar to a password you've used before
  23. Don't use the same password that you use on another site!
  24. Enter your new password again to confirm it
  25. Secure your account
  26. Verify your account recovery information
  27. Is this information correct for your account??
  28. Yes? Then no problem!
  29. No? You need to fix it!
  30. Be sure there's at least one mobile device associated with your account so we can send you a text message if you need help
  31. Add valid numbers
  32. Delete any incorrect or obsolete numbers
  33. Also be sure that your alternate email information is correct
  34. These should be non-Yahoo addresses where you can receive email in case you can't access your Yahoo Mail account
  35. Add valid addresses
  36. Delete any invalid email addresses
  37. Keep your account secure in the future
  38. Update your password and account information frequently
  39. Consider enabling on-demand passwords
