Change your Yahoo password on an iOS device

Start from the Yahoo mobile app

Launch the Yahoo app

Tap to open the sidebar

Scroll to the bottom of the sidebar

Tap Account Info

Now you're on the Personal info screen

Tap to open the sidebar

Tap Account security

Tap Change password

Enter a new password

Your new password must be between 8 and 32 characters long

It cannot be a single character repeated and cannot contain your name or your Yahoo ID

It cannot be the same as or similar to a password you've used before

Don't use the same password that you use on another site!

Re-enter your new password

Tap here any time to see what you're typing

Success! You've changed your password

Never share your password with anyone!

Use your new password for all Yahoo products

Don't forget to update your password in other places it's stored, such as your smart phone's mail app
