Suzette Hattingh - Your Calling and Destiny And How Satan Opposed It

  • 0:10 - 0:14
I am asked to speak to
    you especially in how to
  • 0:14 - 0:17
    get through difficult
    situations, how to keep
  • 0:17 - 0:20
    your faith and your
focus, as God has led me
  • 0:20 - 0:23
    personally through very
    deep waters in my life,
  • 0:23 - 0:27
    through severe sickness
    through opposition. And
  • 0:27 - 0:30
    er facing situations,
    that's not that easy.
  • 0:30 - 0:32
    True, God has not
    promised us that
  • 0:32 - 0:35
    everything would be easy.
    But God has promised us
  • 0:35 - 0:39
that we will come out the
    other side yard, like
  • 0:39 - 0:42
    those Hebrew men, with a
    fourth man walking
  • 0:42 - 0:45
    through the fire with us.
But now how to get there,
  • 0:45 - 0:47
    it's not it's very easy
to preach it, it's not so
  • 0:47 - 0:51
easy to live it. And so I
would like to talk to you
  • 0:51 - 0:54
    today about your calling,
    and your destiny, and how
  • 0:54 - 0:57
    Satan about it. Because
    that way, we will
  • 0:57 - 1:00
    actually understand in
    many different ways,
  • 1:00 - 1:02
    what's happening to us.
    And that's the foundation
  • 1:02 - 1:05
    of it all. Once we
    understand what's
  • 1:05 - 1:09
    happening to us, then we
    can actually manage to do
  • 1:09 - 1:12
to do to pray against it,
or how to handle it. And
  • 1:12 - 1:16
I like to take you there
with me. Now, my name is
  • 1:16 - 1:19
    Susie Totten, a voice in
    the city. And I'm talking
  • 1:19 - 1:21
    to you today. First of
    all, out of Jeremiah
  • 1:21 - 1:25
    chapter 29. And verse 13.
And 11, is a way to say,
  • 1:25 - 1:28
    I know that very well.
    And yet, that's the
  • 1:28 - 1:31
    foundation that my
    friends, if we understand
  • 1:31 - 1:35
    that the calling of God,
and the plants of God in
  • 1:35 - 1:38
our life, in the midst of
    what ever is happening is
  • 1:38 - 1:43
    for our good, and that
    it's actually there for
  • 1:43 - 1:46
    the answer of prayer and
for a future and a hope.
  • 1:46 - 1:49
    Because the first thing
    Satan would want to bring
  • 1:49 - 1:52
    to you is that God's
    plans for you is not
  • 1:52 - 1:55
    good. And God allow these
    things. And why are you
  • 1:55 - 1:58
    going through all of
    this? And that's the plan
  • 1:58 - 2:01
of the enemy to take your
    eyes away from a good
  • 2:01 - 2:04
    God, and the plans of
    future and hope for you.
  • 2:04 - 2:06
    And God said, actually,
    right there in the
  • 2:06 - 2:09
    Scripture, she said four
    times, I will answer I
  • 2:09 - 2:12
will help you if we seek
    Him with all our
  • 2:12 - 2:14
    hearts. And I believe I'm
    speaking to people who
  • 2:14 - 2:16
    seek God with all their
    hearts. So that's not the
  • 2:16 - 2:20
    point. So let's go then
on to learn from a man
  • 2:20 - 2:23
    who taught me more about
    a position, and how to
  • 2:23 - 2:26
hold on and how to see
    that through than anybody
  • 2:26 - 2:28
    else in the Bible. It's
    actually Apostle Paul.
  • 2:30 - 2:32
And I want to take you to
    destiny, because you need
  • 2:32 - 2:38
    to understand that if you
got from God, a calling a
  • 2:38 - 2:41
    destiny, or something you
need to do for the Lord.
  • 2:42 - 2:48
    All hell will oppose it.
    Why? Because if you
  • 2:48 - 2:52
    fulfill that destiny, you
    will bring such damage to
  • 2:52 - 2:55
    the kingdom of Satan, and
    you will be such a
  • 2:55 - 2:58
    testimony for the kingdom
    of God. And that's
  • 2:58 - 3:01
    exactly the good and the
    future plans God has for
  • 3:01 - 3:05
    you. Now let's first of
    all, look at poor be
  • 3:05 - 3:09
    called as a chosen
    vessel, he was called by
  • 3:09 - 3:11
    God, and even in that
    calling, they were
  • 3:11 - 3:14
    suffering. Now here we
    see that actually in Acts
  • 3:14 - 3:17
    chapter nine, and verse
15, but the Lord said to
  • 3:17 - 3:20
him, go for me, and for
he is a chosen vessel of
  • 3:20 - 3:23
    mine, to bear my name
    before the Gentiles,
  • 3:23 - 3:26
    kings and children of
    Israel. For four, I will
  • 3:26 - 3:28
    show him how many things
    he must suffer for my
  • 3:28 - 3:31
    namesake. Everything we
    do, and everything we go
  • 3:31 - 3:33
    through is for the sake
of God. And that is the
  • 3:33 - 3:36
    foundation of it all.
    Now, you know, today,
  • 3:36 - 3:39
even if you go to Israel,
and you go to a pottery,
  • 3:39 - 3:41
    and you ask the potter,
    show me your chosen
  • 3:41 - 3:45
    vessel, he would actually
go to the back, bring out
  • 3:45 - 3:48
    his choice vessel, and at
    the bottom actually would
  • 3:48 - 3:51
    be his signature. And
that is as it were his
  • 3:51 - 3:55
    trademark. And God has
    put his trademark on
  • 3:55 - 3:59
Paul, and God has put his
    trademark the blood of
  • 3:59 - 4:02
    Jesus on you, and the
call of God on you. I
  • 4:02 - 4:06
mean, so when we see the
now we see Paul getting a
  • 4:06 - 4:09
    destiny, and it's go
    quickly with me as it
  • 4:09 - 4:15
    will actually two Acts
    chapter 23. And we need
  • 4:15 - 4:18
    to understand that our
    opposition that really
  • 4:18 - 4:21
tried to stop us it's not
    necessarily the enemy is
  • 4:21 - 4:24
    not necessarily people.
    It's not even
  • 4:24 - 4:28
    circumstances. It's not
even a virus or no virus
  • 4:28 - 4:32
    or anything like that.
    Let's understand what
  • 4:32 - 4:34
    happens and I'm going to
    use the language Forgive
  • 4:34 - 4:38
    me for for comparing it
to a cannon, how Satan is
  • 4:38 - 4:41
    using different cannons
    in different situations
  • 4:41 - 4:44
to get us out of the call
of God or to get us out
  • 4:44 - 4:47
    of that destiny. So
    Alright, let's quickly go
  • 4:47 - 4:52
    quickly with me to accept
the 23 and verse 12. Now
  • 4:52 - 4:55
    we see that God is
    speaking to Paul. And
  • 4:55 - 4:56
    Paul is now going through
    a very difficult
  • 4:56 - 5:00
    situation. And in verse
    11, it says, but the
  • 5:00 - 5:02
    following Night The Lord
stood by him and said, Be
  • 5:02 - 5:06
    of good cheer Paul, for
    as you have testified for
  • 5:06 - 5:10
    me in Jerusalem, so you
    must also bear witness at
  • 5:10 - 5:15
Rome. Wow. So here we see
    the destiny of God for
  • 5:15 - 5:18
    Paul. Rome is the goal.
    Rome is the destiny.
  • 5:18 - 5:21
    That's where you are
    going, Paul. And so we
  • 5:21 - 5:24
    see this incredible task
    that God gave him. Now
  • 5:24 - 5:27
    imagine, if Paul preached
    the gospel of Jesus
  • 5:27 - 5:31
    Christ in Rome, what a
    stronghold of the enemy
  • 5:31 - 5:36
    and false teaching and
    false gods would fall
  • 5:36 - 5:38
    because of the gospel of
    Jesus Christ, of course,
  • 5:38 - 5:41
    sadness to oppose it. And
    your calling is as
  • 5:41 - 5:44
    important as pause. And
where God has put you is
  • 5:44 - 5:48
    as important for God
    trusted you to bring that
  • 5:48 - 5:52
    light into those darkness
    and into that situation,
  • 5:52 - 5:55
    and you are facing what
    Paul is facing. Now the
  • 5:55 - 5:58
    first thing let me use
    the language of a cannon,
  • 5:58 - 6:00
    please, if you allow me,
    although it sounds
  • 6:00 - 6:03
    militant, let me use
    that, please. Just for
  • 6:03 - 6:05
    clarification,
    clarification sake. And
  • 6:05 - 6:09
    the first cannon that
    Satan use and is normally
  • 6:09 - 6:14
    so successful, that it
    gets so many people out
  • 6:14 - 6:18
of the call of God is
    first of all, your own
  • 6:18 - 6:23
    people. And this we see
    right here, we see. And,
  • 6:23 - 6:26
and, and when it was day,
    the very next verse,
  • 6:26 - 6:28
    verse 12, some of the
    Jews banded together and
  • 6:28 - 6:31
    bound himself under an
    oath saying that they
  • 6:31 - 6:34
    would neither eat nor
    drink till they had
  • 6:34 - 6:36
    killed Paul, or people
    just just a minute here.
  • 6:37 - 6:42
This is this is 40 men,
    under the Jewish orthodox
  • 6:42 - 6:48
    law, who understand the
    importance of an oath.
  • 6:49 - 6:51
    And it's not just like
    you and me saying, oh,
  • 6:51 - 6:53
    Lord, we will pray every
    morning at five o'clock,
  • 6:53 - 6:56
    and that lasts for three
    weeks, and then we
  • 6:56 - 6:58
    oversleep. And we forget
    about it again, or no,
  • 6:58 - 7:00
    no, we must understand
    what it was like for
  • 7:00 - 7:05
    these people, it is truly
he die, or we die, he
  • 7:05 - 7:06
    dies, or we commit
  • 7:07 - 7:10
    suicide, because they
    understand that if they
  • 7:10 - 7:14
    would break that law,
    they would bring a curse
  • 7:14 - 7:16
    upon them, and their
    homes and their families.
  • 7:17 - 7:21
    So that's the seriousness
    of this cannon that Satan
  • 7:21 - 7:25
    is using to stop the
    destiny of porn. And many
  • 7:25 - 7:27
    of you that might watch
    me even as pastors and
  • 7:27 - 7:29
    leaders might be exactly
    at the spot at the
  • 7:29 - 7:33
    moment, you might have a
    team member or a church
  • 7:33 - 7:36
    member, or somebody in
    your community, or
  • 7:36 - 7:40
    somebody in your
    immediate circle of
  • 7:40 - 7:43
    leadership that is
    opposing you. First of
  • 7:43 - 7:45
    all, it's of course,
    coming to humility, to
  • 7:45 - 7:48
see, could it be that God
    is trying to tell you
  • 7:48 - 7:51
    something. But if you are
    sure that you have heard
  • 7:51 - 7:53
    from God, and you stand
    in humility of God, and
  • 7:53 - 7:56
    you stand in worship and
    impurity before the Lord,
  • 7:56 - 7:58
    and none of us are
    perfect, of course not.
  • 7:58 - 8:01
But if you walk with a
    light, you have to the
  • 8:01 - 8:03
    best of what you know,
    before the Holy Spirit
  • 8:03 - 8:06
    and before God, then I
    would say, then it's time
  • 8:07 - 8:09
    to stand up for your
    call, and stand up for
  • 8:09 - 8:13
    your vision. And so balls
    first came from his own
  • 8:14 - 8:16
    people. That's kind of
    number one. And I would
  • 8:16 - 8:20
    say that this is so
    successful, that so many
  • 8:20 - 8:23
    people get out of the
    ministry out of the call
  • 8:23 - 8:26
    of God, out of that
    difficulty, because of
  • 8:26 - 8:30
    the opinion of those
    close to them. Now, you
  • 8:30 - 8:32
    know, you and I could
    just agree with this, if
  • 8:32 - 8:34
    it's somebody from out
    there, you don't even
  • 8:34 - 8:36
    know you think, doesn't
    matter what they think,
  • 8:36 - 8:38
    who cares what they
think. But if it is your
  • 8:38 - 8:41
    own husband, or your
    wife, or your family, or
  • 8:41 - 8:43
    your brothers and your
    sisters, wow, that hurts.
  • 8:44 - 8:46
    And that's a different
    story. And for Paul here,
  • 8:46 - 8:48
    it was those that he
    trust and that he
  • 8:48 - 8:50
    believed with, and that
    maybe he even tried
  • 8:50 - 8:54
    before, who knows. And
    that's the first thing we
  • 8:54 - 8:58
see here. And now we see
    that it's not a small
  • 8:58 - 9:03
    matter, and people will
    die. Now, Paul did not
  • 9:03 - 9:06
    die because God revealed
    the plan, which means
  • 9:06 - 9:10
    that 40 men died. It
    meant that 40 men
  • 9:10 - 9:13
    committed suicide, it
    meant that 40 might have
  • 9:13 - 9:16
    been fathers might have
    been grandfather's we
  • 9:16 - 9:20
    don't know. It's 40 lives
    and families that's
  • 9:20 - 9:25
    affected by an oath. And
    that's how serious this
  • 9:25 - 9:28
    cannon is. And that's how
    serious it also might be
  • 9:28 - 9:32
for you, or for me when
    things go wrong. And you
  • 9:32 - 9:34
    really struggle. And
    there's great difficulty,
  • 9:34 - 9:38
    especially in your own
    immediate circle to you
  • 9:38 - 9:43
    to keep focus now. Let's
    see. And when Paul stood
  • 9:43 - 9:47
that test, and he did not
    go into compromise, but
  • 9:47 - 9:51
    he kept focused, and this
is the key. How did you
  • 9:51 - 9:54
    keep focus is that people
    asking me many times, I
  • 9:54 - 9:57
    think the main thing is
for me to remember what I
  • 9:57 - 10:00
    was called for. The main
    thing is for me to
  • 10:00 - 10:03
    Understand what it is the
purpose is of God. And I
  • 10:03 - 10:06
hold to that and I pray
it and I worship it, even
  • 10:06 - 10:09
    if I feel nothing, even
if it feels to me heaven
  • 10:09 - 10:12
    is like brass, I keep
    going. The next thing we
  • 10:12 - 10:17
    see here is in Acts
    chapter 24 and verse 25.
  • 10:18 - 10:20
    And we see that now.
  • 10:23 - 10:27
    We see polls before Felix
    and Paul actually could
  • 10:27 - 10:30
    have been free. And now
    now as he reasoned about
  • 10:30 - 10:33
    righteousness, self
    control and the judgment
  • 10:33 - 10:36
    to come, Felix was afraid
    and answered go away for
  • 10:36 - 10:38
    now, when I have a
    convenient time, I will
  • 10:38 - 10:42
go for you. Paul is now
    in prison. Paul is taken
  • 10:42 - 10:45
    captive he is. And
    people, please the
  • 10:45 - 10:48
    presence of pause days,
    those dungeons didn't
  • 10:48 - 10:52
    look like the presence
today. It is it the sewer
  • 10:52 - 10:55
    was going through their
    prison cells. It was it
  • 10:55 - 10:58
    was stuffy It was
    horrible. Some of them if
  • 10:58 - 11:00
    you read a search
    history, you see that
  • 11:00 - 11:04
    some of them were chained
    onto the walls. And, and
  • 11:04 - 11:06
    so that is the price
    Polish taking. And now
  • 11:06 - 11:09
    it's in front of Felix,
    if Paul has just given
  • 11:09 - 11:12
him a little bit of a
    bribe, a little bit of
  • 11:12 - 11:16
    money, just a little bit,
    just, you know, let me
  • 11:16 - 11:18
    get out there. I'm called
    to be at the churches.
  • 11:18 - 11:21
    And now I'm sitting in
    nevermind, glitches,
  • 11:21 - 11:23
    glitches give him
    something. And then, and
  • 11:23 - 11:26
    then licious compromise a
    little bit. It's okay so
  • 11:26 - 11:28
that I can do the call of
    God because this was the
  • 11:28 - 11:30
    man who raised the debt.
And who was the one that
  • 11:30 - 11:32
    God used to start the
    churches. Let's not
  • 11:32 - 11:36
    forget that. And now he's
    in prison, but go never
  • 11:36 - 11:39
    compromised. And that is
    the next cannon Satan
  • 11:39 - 11:42
will use. He will try for
    you to compromise your
  • 11:42 - 11:46
    goal, your situation for
    money for need for
  • 11:46 - 11:51
    acceptance for revelation
    for, for making things
  • 11:51 - 11:55
    work, especially for
    money. How many ministers
  • 11:55 - 11:58
have I seen in my life
    who compromise for the
  • 11:58 - 12:01
    sake of money, or the
    sake of acceptance of the
  • 12:01 - 12:06
    sake of, of the
    reputation being seen as
  • 12:06 - 12:08
    being good here, listen
    to what Paul did. He
  • 12:08 - 12:10
    continued preaching
    straight about
  • 12:11 - 12:14
    righteousness, self
    control the judgment to
  • 12:14 - 12:18
    come, Paul never change
    this message. And that is
  • 12:18 - 12:20
    what Satan would want to
    bring to you to change
  • 12:20 - 12:24
    your message. I remember
    one time I was actually
  • 12:24 - 12:27
    in a certain nation, and
    we were doing our big
  • 12:27 - 12:30
    outreaches. And while we
    didn't have the money for
  • 12:30 - 12:33
    it, and a very rich
    businessman came to me
  • 12:33 - 12:36
and he said to me, I like
    your preaching. He says
  • 12:36 - 12:38
    you are just too fiery
    and speak too much about
  • 12:38 - 12:41
    the Holy Spirit. And he
    says if you would change
  • 12:41 - 12:43
    that a little bit
    intemperate down, and not
  • 12:43 - 12:46
    speak as much about the
    Holy Spirit. And he says,
  • 12:46 - 12:49
Then Then I will pay all
    your evangelistic
  • 12:49 - 12:52
    outreaches. And you know
    what we really needed
  • 12:52 - 12:56
    that money desperately.
    We were absolutely at the
  • 12:56 - 12:59
    time of praying for every
cent just to do the work
  • 12:59 - 13:02
of God. And I stood up
and I say thank you so
  • 13:02 - 13:06
    much for your kind offer.
    But the anointing cannot
  • 13:06 - 13:09
    be bought with money.
    Neither can I say that
  • 13:09 - 13:11
    can be bought with money.
    And you know, it turned
  • 13:11 - 13:14
    away he was furious. He
    never gave us another
  • 13:14 - 13:18
    cent and God faded. Oh,
don't ask me how he did.
  • 13:18 - 13:19
    And that's the wonderful
    thing you need to
  • 13:19 - 13:22
    understand that canon
    number one is your own
  • 13:22 - 13:24
    people can number two is
    compromise canon number
  • 13:24 - 13:27
    three, if Satan can get
    you to compromise, he
  • 13:27 - 13:31
    will use circumstances.
    And especially now in
  • 13:31 - 13:34
    COVID-19 time and in this
    difficult pandemic time
  • 13:34 - 13:37
    where things are just
    seeming to drag out in
  • 13:37 - 13:39
    the beginning everybody
    was excited. And yeah,
  • 13:39 - 13:41
    and we do zoom meetings
and we pray and we and
  • 13:41 - 13:44
    then suddenly that that
    that fire, that zeal
  • 13:44 - 13:47
seems to go away and pass
    the see that their own
  • 13:47 - 13:49
    church members is not
    attending the zoom
  • 13:49 - 13:51
    meetings as much and it
    looked like everything is
  • 13:51 - 13:54
    falling apart. Let me
    have the word from the
  • 13:54 - 13:57
    Lord for you. Listen to
    what happened with Paul
  • 13:57 - 13:59
    in Acts chapter 25.
  • 14:00 - 14:05
    And again, we see
    actually, from verse 11,
  • 14:06 - 14:09
for I am an offender or
    have committed I am not
  • 14:09 - 14:11
    an offender I have
    committed anything
  • 14:11 - 14:15
    deserving of this death
to do and I do not object
  • 14:15 - 14:17
to dying but if there is
    nothing in these things
  • 14:17 - 14:20
    of which these men
    accused me No one can
  • 14:20 - 14:23
    deliver me to them. I
    appealed to Caesar why to
  • 14:23 - 14:26
    Caesar Paul could have
    been out of that
  • 14:26 - 14:29
    circumstances you must
    understand now Paul sat
  • 14:29 - 14:33
    in that prison for two
    years. We are worried
  • 14:33 - 14:36
    about some months in that
    we are in lockdown and
  • 14:36 - 14:38
    and it's extremely
    difficult than I have the
  • 14:38 - 14:41
    greatest sympathy and
    it's people are at a
  • 14:41 - 14:45
    place of even sometimes
    hopelessness but for sit
  • 14:45 - 14:48
    in that dungeon for two
    years now Don't tell me
  • 14:48 - 14:51
    that's the time he
    actually just wrote those
  • 14:51 - 14:54
    those letters. Paul
    didn't know that his
  • 14:54 - 14:57
    letters and that his
story was will one day be
  • 14:57 - 15:00
    your my teaching ball
    left through it he only
  • 15:00 - 15:02
    know about That day and
    tomorrow, he has to he
  • 15:02 - 15:05
    only know that he's
    around and he's changed.
  • 15:05 - 15:07
    And he's not at the
    schooling, and it's not
  • 15:07 - 15:10
    doing what he should do
    and circumstances become
  • 15:10 - 15:13
    the next cannon Satan is
    using against you. But
  • 15:13 - 15:16
    Paul knew that the
    calling of God was
  • 15:16 - 15:19
    Caesar, and that God has
    not changed his calling.
  • 15:19 - 15:21
And I say to you, that
    God has not changed his
  • 15:21 - 15:24
    calling. And if you can
    allow circumstances to
  • 15:24 - 15:26
    get you out of the
    corner, how do I stay
  • 15:26 - 15:29
with it to say, go back,
    read your scriptures,
  • 15:29 - 15:31
    read the promises God has
    given to you start
  • 15:31 - 15:34
    praying the word, start
    coming back before God in
  • 15:34 - 15:37
    fasting and prayer and
    worship and say, This is
  • 15:37 - 15:40
    what you have said, I
    don't understand. I don't
  • 15:40 - 15:43
see it. It makes no sense
    to me, but you cannot
  • 15:43 - 15:45
    change and you cannot
    lie. So that's the
  • 15:45 - 15:48
    situation we have. Now we
    go to the next one
  • 15:48 - 15:52
    quickly. And we see
    frustration, Paul was an
  • 15:52 - 15:56
    absolute frustration. And
then God came and he gave
  • 15:56 - 15:59
    him a revelation,
    frustration will get you
  • 15:59 - 16:01
    out of the coal, I
    remember how one man of
  • 16:01 - 16:03
    God said, he said, You
    know what, he says, I
  • 16:03 - 16:06
    didn't mind working for
    God, but the delaying of
  • 16:06 - 16:08
    the fulfillment of the
    promise. That's what
  • 16:08 - 16:10
    really got me on the
    mission field. And I
  • 16:10 - 16:12
    fully understand that.
    And so let's quickly go
  • 16:12 - 16:15
    to God give Paul
    revelation in Acts,
  • 16:15 - 16:18
    chapter 27, verse 10. And
    we see,
  • 16:20 - 16:24
    Paul is now seeing, and
    he is why the prison
  • 16:24 - 16:27
    doors open. And Paul is
    taken out of prison, and
  • 16:27 - 16:29
now he's on the ship. I'm
on my way to Rome, and
  • 16:29 - 16:33
    everything looked great
    and marvelous. And that
  • 16:33 - 16:36
    promotion, was actually
    God giving him a
  • 16:36 - 16:39
    revelation that that ship
    is going to sink. Whoa,
  • 16:40 - 16:43
    what promotion is that?
    Is that really holding
  • 16:43 - 16:46
    on? Is it really worth
it. And now he sees that,
  • 16:46 - 16:49
    and he comes. And Paul
    says in verse 10, that
  • 16:49 - 16:53
    that ship is out for
    disaster. So from the
  • 16:53 - 16:56
    prison, and all that
    difficulty onto a ship
  • 16:56 - 17:00
    that is set for disaster
    by noon, that the promise
  • 17:00 - 17:02
of God cannot fail. And I
    want to encourage you
  • 17:02 - 17:06
    today that no matter what
    cannon, Satan is throwing
  • 17:06 - 17:08
    at you, the promise that
    God gave you for your
  • 17:08 - 17:11
life is what you need to
pray, is what you need to
  • 17:11 - 17:14
force is what you need to
    hold before God is what
  • 17:14 - 17:16
    you need to speak out.
    It's what that is the
  • 17:17 - 17:19
    only thing that will keep
    direction for you in the
  • 17:19 - 17:23
    sea of life, with your
    ship holding direction,
  • 17:23 - 17:27
    that red rudder is
    actually what you hold is
  • 17:27 - 17:29
    that original promise.
    And the original calling
  • 17:29 - 17:31
God gave you now let me
    move on quickly because
  • 17:31 - 17:35
of time. And so Paul is
now on the ship. And it's
  • 17:35 - 17:37
    an uncomfortable place.
    It's a shipwreck, it's a
  • 17:37 - 17:41
    storm. It's fear, death.
    It looks like everything
  • 17:41 - 17:45
    is lost. But Paul knew
    that God will keep his
  • 17:45 - 17:49
promise. And so I want to
take you. And I need to
  • 17:49 - 17:53
    hurry how Paul is holding
    on because God has said
  • 17:53 - 17:56
    Caesar and Caesar it will
be. And so now we come to
  • 17:56 - 18:01
    the final one that
    actually in in Acts
  • 18:01 - 18:04
    chapter 27, verse 24. And
    that's the last scripture
  • 18:04 - 18:09
I want to use. saying, Do
    not be afraid, Paul, you
  • 18:09 - 18:11
    must be brought before
    Caesar. And indeed God
  • 18:11 - 18:16
    has granted you all those
    who sail with you. Now
  • 18:16 - 18:20
this was after a time of
    struggle and fasting and
  • 18:20 - 18:22
    hunger and storm and
    shipwreck and I don't
  • 18:22 - 18:25
    think it was nice and
    easy. And you might be
  • 18:25 - 18:27
    right at that place at
    the moment where you are
  • 18:27 - 18:29
    fasting at this time. But
    you see no breakthrough,
  • 18:29 - 18:31
    and you don't see the
    change, and you don't see
  • 18:31 - 18:34
what God is doing. And it
    just looks like all
  • 18:34 - 18:36
    cloudy and difficult and
    a storm. And it seems
  • 18:36 - 18:38
    like your ship is
    sinking. And especially
  • 18:38 - 18:41
if you are a law, a
    leader and a pastor. And
  • 18:41 - 18:43
it seems to you that that
    original place that God
  • 18:43 - 18:46
has given to you is just
    not having space anymore.
  • 18:46 - 18:48
    Hear the Word of the
    Lord. God hasn't changed
  • 18:48 - 18:51
    his plan. And just as
    much as God hasn't
  • 18:51 - 18:53
    changed his plan with
    Paul Paul gave him God
  • 18:53 - 18:56
    gave him all those
    unsaved people that was
  • 18:56 - 18:59
    on that ship, and he
    landed on Malta. And
  • 18:59 - 19:03
Satan says if I can get
    your own people to kill
  • 19:03 - 19:06
you, and I can't get you
    to compromise, and I
  • 19:06 - 19:09
    can't get you through
    frustration, and I can't
  • 19:09 - 19:11
    get you through
    circumstances and I can't
  • 19:11 - 19:14
    get you by sinking the
ship. I will get you and
  • 19:14 - 19:18
    I will kill you. And
uncle the let me say to
  • 19:18 - 19:19
    you, How many times
    should you have been
  • 19:19 - 19:22
    dead? How many times you
How many of you are still
  • 19:22 - 19:24
alive by the grace of God
    because God has a plan
  • 19:24 - 19:27
    and a destiny and
    forgotten to Malta and a
  • 19:27 - 19:30
snake but him and God put
    that man of God through
  • 19:31 - 19:36
    all of that. For a
    revival in Mata. Maybe
  • 19:36 - 19:40
    you are going through
    through all of this for
  • 19:40 - 19:44
    the plan and the harvest
    that God has ahead of
  • 19:44 - 19:49
    you. Almighty God has not
    forgotten what He has
  • 19:49 - 19:52
    promised you. Get out
    your promises. start
  • 19:52 - 19:54
    calling the Word of God.
    start learning to pray
  • 19:54 - 19:58
the word and you will see
    that God hasn't changed
  • 19:58 - 20:00
    his mind. We'll see you
    in the next session.
