Suzette Hattingh - How Do We Handle Adversity

  • 0:10 - 0:12
I am asked to share with
    you
  • 0:12 - 0:17
    How do we Handle
    Adversity. And when
  • 0:17 - 0:19
    things are going really
    difficult. And you know,
  • 0:19 - 0:22
    especially if there is a
    something in our lives,
  • 0:22 - 0:25
    that is taking a long
    time. Now, in the
  • 0:25 - 0:27
    beginning, when people
    are sick, everybody prays
  • 0:27 - 0:30
    that everybody is there.
    And when that sickness
  • 0:30 - 0:34
    becomes a long term
    thing, or over a period
  • 0:34 - 0:36
    of time, you see how
    people are dropping away,
  • 0:37 - 0:39
    and they continue on, and
    they continue with their
  • 0:39 - 0:42
    lives, and that person
    find himself into a
  • 0:42 - 0:45
    lonely place. And that's
    actually also true. I
  • 0:45 - 0:48
    have found now in
    COVID-19 time, in the
  • 0:48 - 0:50
    beginning, everybody was
    YALI, to do zoom
  • 0:50 - 0:53
    meetings, and we pray
    across the world. And we
  • 0:53 - 0:54
    can make this through.
  • 0:54 - 0:57
    And so you hear this
    excitement and faith and
  • 0:57 - 1:00
    rising up and all across
    the world, people were
  • 1:00 - 1:02
    praying together, and
    then came the second
  • 1:02 - 1:05
    wave, and suddenly the
    second lockdown and the
  • 1:05 - 1:07
    third lockdown, and
    people are coming to
  • 1:07 - 1:10
    being tired and weary,
    and you don't see that
  • 1:10 - 1:13
    fire and that passion
    anymore. So how do we
  • 1:13 - 1:17
    continue when things are
    going wrong. And by the
  • 1:17 - 1:19
    way, my name is Jose
    Totten, a voice in the
  • 1:19 - 1:22
    city. And it's my honor
    and privilege to share
  • 1:22 - 1:27
with you this day out of
    Ecclesiastes 714. And
  • 1:27 - 1:29
    actually, the B part and
    it's very amazing
  • 1:29 - 1:32
    scripture, you don't hear
    sermons about it quite
  • 1:32 - 1:38
    often. And it says, in
    the day of prosperity, be
  • 1:38 - 1:43
joyful. But in the day of
    adversity, consider,
  • 1:43 - 1:50
    surely God has appointed
the one as well as the
  • 1:50 - 1:55
    other out, we don't often
    hear that, and accepted
  • 1:55 - 1:59
    like God has appointed
the one as well as the
  • 1:59 - 2:02
    other. Now, for
    everything, there are
  • 2:02 - 2:05
    seasons in life, and we
    all know that, you know,
  • 2:05 - 2:08
    there's seasons of joy
    and sadness and storms.
  • 2:08 - 2:11
    And actually, a friend of
    mine in Indonesia said
  • 2:11 - 2:14
    something that I have
    never forgotten in the
  • 2:14 - 2:17
    time of 1998, when they
    had the financial crash,
  • 2:17 - 2:20
    and he lost millions of
    very, very big
  • 2:20 - 2:25
    businessman in he lost.
    And the crash came. And
  • 2:25 - 2:28
    when we talk about that
he said to me, he said to
  • 2:28 - 2:33
me is it says that the
    storm only showed us what
  • 2:33 - 2:38
    is really inside. But
    this will pass as well.
  • 2:39 - 2:42
    I'll never forget that.
    The stone only shows us
  • 2:43 - 2:47
    what is really, inside of
us. And that is so true
  • 2:47 - 2:50
    of every storm. And you
    know, if we are looking
  • 2:50 - 2:54
at the seas of life, also
    at this time, the issue
  • 2:54 - 2:57
    is not the wind, beloved,
the issue is how we set
  • 2:57 - 3:00
    the sails during the time
of the wind. It's not the
  • 3:00 - 3:05
storm on the sea of life.
It's not even in the time
  • 3:05 - 3:08
of how we think. But how
we set our sails and how
  • 3:08 - 3:12
    we handle that storm.
    That is what is really
  • 3:12 - 3:14
    counting. And you know,
    God never promised us and
  • 3:14 - 3:17
that is so true. And it's
    so opposite, just
  • 3:17 - 3:20
    Hallelujah, or let's just
move on. We are great and
  • 3:20 - 3:23
    wonderful and glorious.
    And God never promised as
  • 3:23 - 3:26
    smooth sailing. But he
    did promise that people
  • 3:26 - 3:28
    arrived the other side
    and we see that
  • 3:28 - 3:30
    especially in Luke
    chapter eight, verse 24.
  • 3:30 - 3:33
And so you see, when we
    look at chaos, and when
  • 3:33 - 3:36
    chaos breaks out, it
    doesn't mean something
  • 3:36 - 3:39
went wrong with us. It is
    just like Bill Johnson
  • 3:39 - 3:42
say, and I like what he
says, and I quote him, he
  • 3:42 - 3:49
    says, favor, or cows or
    chaos are the tools that
  • 3:49 - 3:54
    transforms us, because
    both are driving forces
  • 3:54 - 3:56
    that forms character. Let
    me say that one more
  • 3:56 - 4:03
    time. Bill says favor or
    chaos? Yeah, that's like
  • 4:03 - 4:08
    God said, adversity, or
    prosperity. Both comes
  • 4:08 - 4:11
out of the hands of God.
    And he says favor or
  • 4:11 - 4:16
    chaos are the tools that
    transforms us. Because
  • 4:16 - 4:22
    both are driving forces
    that forms character.
  • 4:22 - 4:27
    Wow, what wisdom is just
in that, and I also took
  • 4:27 - 4:29
    a quote from john Hickey,
which I want to give to
  • 4:29 - 4:33
you and he says, an oak
    tree is a little seed,
  • 4:33 - 4:38
    that faith finds its way
    to the surface in growth,
  • 4:38 - 4:42
    just to face the wind,
    sun storms to become this
  • 4:42 - 4:46
    majestic tree that is
    that valuable would that
  • 4:46 - 4:49
    even the Bible talks
    about through the tree is
  • 4:49 - 4:53
    a little seed that fight
its way to the surface in
  • 4:53 - 4:56
    growth just to face the
    wind, the sun, the
  • 4:56 - 4:59
    storms, to become that
    majestic tree. That is
  • 4:59 - 5:02
    that way. woods that even
    the Bible talks about.
  • 5:02 - 5:05
    Now, nowhere in the Bible
    you will see that the
  • 5:05 - 5:09
    those that really made a
    difference for God and
  • 5:09 - 5:12
    those that really impact
    nations that they just
  • 5:12 - 5:15
    had plain sailing. You
    see adversity, adversity,
  • 5:15 - 5:18
    you see this, you see
    that you see difficulty
  • 5:18 - 5:20
    you see stones, and my
    brothers and my sisters,
  • 5:20 - 5:22
that will be the same for
    us. Now, in this time,
  • 5:22 - 5:25
    many people had great
    losses of families and
  • 5:25 - 5:29
    disaster and jobs. And
    it's not easy, that is
  • 5:29 - 5:32
    absolutely true. But you
    know, I would like to
  • 5:32 - 5:36
take you with me and and
    my personal opinion at
  • 5:36 - 5:39
this time is that I am
    convinced that God is
  • 5:39 - 5:43
    taking the nations at the
    moment of the whole ruled
  • 5:43 - 5:47
    through a struggle to
develop in us we who we
  • 5:47 - 5:51
    are supposed to become as
    the bride of Christ, for
  • 5:51 - 5:52
    the future
  • 5:52 - 5:56
    purposes of God, because
    only the mature Bride of
  • 5:56 - 6:00
    Christ are actually able
    to handle the harvest
  • 6:00 - 6:03
    that God wants to bring
    in the revival that what
  • 6:03 - 6:05
    God wants to bring in,
    and the miraculous that
  • 6:05 - 6:08
    God wants to bring in.
And I say, again, God is
  • 6:08 - 6:11
at this time using all of
    this in maturity, I just
  • 6:11 - 6:14
    said this morning to my
    team, I said, I do
  • 6:14 - 6:17
    believe, and many, many
    churches are struggling
  • 6:17 - 6:20
    at the moment, because
    they are only on zoom,
  • 6:20 - 6:22
    they cannot meet like
    before, and of course, I
  • 6:22 - 6:27
    had great compassion for
    that. But I also believe
  • 6:27 - 6:32
    that God took us away
    from the performance of
  • 6:32 - 6:36
    worship, to actually take
us to the true altar of
  • 6:36 - 6:39
    worship within ourselves
    again. Now, that's quite
  • 6:39 - 6:43
    a statement. But to me,
    so much of worship has
  • 6:43 - 6:45
    become the right music,
    the right this the right
  • 6:45 - 6:48
    light, the right smoke
    machines, and although
  • 6:48 - 6:50
    I've got nothing against
    any of that, it became
  • 6:50 - 6:54
    like an arena, it became
    like the show is the
  • 6:54 - 6:57
    right looks, the right
    smile, the right uniform,
  • 6:57 - 7:00
    when actually worship is
    to take us into spirit
  • 7:00 - 7:02
    and truth, and take us
    into that place of
  • 7:02 - 7:06
    humility before God,
    where we have intimacy
  • 7:06 - 7:09
    with God, that is through
    worship. And so I really
  • 7:09 - 7:11
    believe that God is at
    the moment shaking
  • 7:11 - 7:15
    everything that that can
    be shaken, so that only
  • 7:15 - 7:19
    that remains that can not
    be shaken. Now, that's a
  • 7:19 - 7:23
hard word to say. But in
    this time of difficulty,
  • 7:23 - 7:27
I like to take you into
how God led me in this 42
  • 7:27 - 7:30
    years of full time work
    for him into different
  • 7:30 - 7:32
    times of difficulty. Now,
I don't have the time to
  • 7:32 - 7:35
tell you all of that. But
I would like to take you
  • 7:35 - 7:40
    actually a what I call
    strategy. And I would say
  • 7:40 - 7:45
    that almost every battle
    I personally always
  • 7:45 - 7:48
    administer has gone
    through, I actually went
  • 7:48 - 7:52
back to God and say, How
do I set the sails in
  • 7:52 - 7:55
    this situation? Many
times, I had no idea how
  • 7:55 - 7:58
it would work. But it was
    actually defined the
  • 7:58 - 8:01
    strategy from God for
    that time for that
  • 8:01 - 8:04
    moment, because the
danger is in the midst of
  • 8:04 - 8:06
    great difficulty. And
    especially for us as
  • 8:06 - 8:09
    pastors and leaders who
    are used to do things
  • 8:09 - 8:13
    that have worked in the
past. We know the word we
  • 8:13 - 8:15
    have experience in these
    things. We know how to
  • 8:15 - 8:18
fast we know how to pray,
we know how to do cell
  • 8:18 - 8:21
    group prayer, we know how
to do 24 hour prayer, we
  • 8:21 - 8:22
    know how to take holy
    communion and all of
  • 8:22 - 8:26
    these things. And so the
danger of that is is to
  • 8:26 - 8:29
    apply what we know
instead of to go and find
  • 8:29 - 8:32
    out what is God saying
    now. And that's the
  • 8:32 - 8:35
    greatest danger in the
    midst of adversity.
  • 8:36 - 8:36
    Why?
  • 8:37 - 8:41
    I see actually in Second
    Chronicles 20-21, kin
  • 8:41 - 8:44
    Jehoshaphat put th
    worshipers in front o
  • 8:44 - 8:47
    the army he he consulte
    with the people and h
  • 8:47 - 8:50
    did something that nobod
    has ever done before
  • 8:51 - 8:53
    They actually take th
    little singers in fron
  • 8:53 - 8:56
    of all these might
    soldiers. I wonder wha
  • 8:56 - 8:58
    the soldier should abou
    that? What is this gu
  • 8:58 - 9:00
    doing these littl
    seniors with a littl
  • 9:00 - 9:04
    tambourines. We are th
    men of valor that kno
  • 9:04 - 9:06
    how to handle the swor
    and know how to handl
  • 9:06 - 9:09
the bow and arrow. We ar
    the mighty ones had
  • 9:09 - 9:11
    strange for this. And no
    he put these littl
  • 9:11 - 9:13
    singers with a littl
    pampering little girl
  • 9:13 - 9:16
    and little men and peopl
like that in front of us
  • 9:16 - 9:19
    What do they know? Bu
    your host the Fed had
  • 9:19 - 9:22
    strategy from God, w
    actually see the sam
  • 9:22 - 9:25
    with David. We see i
    Second Samuel chapte
  • 9:25 - 9:28
    five, verse 24, that Go
    said to David, you don'
  • 9:28 - 9:31
    move until you hear th
    sound of marching in th
  • 9:31 - 9:35
    mulberry trees. Wow
    God's God's divin
  • 9:35 - 9:38
    direction at the righ
time. Now David was a ma
  • 9:38 - 9:41
of war. David knew how t
    flee David also knew ho
  • 9:41 - 9:44
    to fight and that ever
    time God would say t
  • 9:44 - 9:46
    him, don't go around th
    mountain this way, g
  • 9:46 - 9:49
    around it that way. An
so we see that God ha
  • 9:49 - 9:53
    divine strategy. Same se
    the same story in firs
  • 9:53 - 9:57
    Chronicles 1415 and I ca
    take you again and agai
  • 9:57 - 10:00
    and again through this
We see this in the Ol
  • 10:00 - 10:02
    Testament. We see tha
    God clearly gave u
  • 10:02 - 10:04
    command in Genesi
    chapter five, whe
  • 10:04 - 10:06
    somebody is sick, this i
    what you do, you know
  • 10:06 - 10:09
    anoint them with al
    lands, apoco the elder
  • 10:09 - 10:10
    and let them pray fo
    you, and this and that
  • 10:10 - 10:14
And so God gave us clea
    direction in the world
  • 10:14 - 10:18
    And sometimes we can tak
    that direction and mak
  • 10:18 - 10:22
it a system. And by tha
    we lose the guidance o
  • 10:22 - 10:23
    the Holy Spirit in man
    of these things.
  • 10:23 - 10:26
    remember. And I, becaus
of time, I just gonna g
  • 10:26 - 10:29
    really short and I fel
    just to share with yo
  • 10:29 - 10:34
    not really a sermon, bu
    really from my heart. An
  • 10:34 - 10:43
in 19, it was actually i
    92, no 28 Actually, I ha
  • 10:43 - 10:47
    an operation on my leg
    Now what should have bee
  • 10:47 - 10:50
    just the six weeks tin
    little Odile turned ou
  • 10:50 - 10:53
    into 18 months in
    wheelchair, three majo
  • 10:53 - 10:56
    operations the way the
    even talk about Actually
  • 10:57 - 11:00
    yeah, amputating my leg
    if if that last operatio
  • 11:00 - 11:02
    was not going to work
    they would have t
  • 11:02 - 11:04
    amputate my leg. And s
    of course, I was in
  • 11:04 - 11:08
crisis. I was in a crisi
of my ministry of my lif
  • 11:08 - 11:13
    of my identity, of m
    health of, of anythin
  • 11:13 - 11:16
    and everything I knew
    was in the midst o
  • 11:16 - 11:18
    traveling for God, I ha
    to cancel anything an
  • 11:18 - 11:21
    everything, of course
and there I was in sever
  • 11:21 - 11:24
    pain. And in th
    beginning, everybod
  • 11:24 - 11:27
    fasted and prayed for me
    everybody had a word fro
  • 11:27 - 11:29
    the Lord, everybod
    encouraged me. And as th
  • 11:29 - 11:31
    months went on, tha
    became less and less an
  • 11:31 - 11:34
    less and less and less
    And thank God for m
  • 11:34 - 11:38
team. If it was not fo
    my team that stood wit
  • 11:38 - 11:43
    me, I don't think I woul
    have made it however. Bu
  • 11:43 - 11:46
    there was one thing
cried out to God, I said
  • 11:46 - 11:49
    just helped me to kno
how shall I pray in thi
  • 11:49 - 11:52
    time, and God spoke t
me, it says, I want yo
  • 11:52 - 11:55
    to take Holy Communio
    every morning before yo
  • 11:55 - 11:58
eat or drink that he gav
me and then he gave m
  • 11:58 - 12:03
    one scripture, one. B
    stellar, now that I a
  • 12:03 - 12:08
God, how is it to preac
that? how easy it is t
  • 12:08 - 12:11
    just be still and kno
    that I am God? It's
  • 12:11 - 12:15
    different story, to kno
that God is God in th
  • 12:15 - 12:18
    stillness of when yo
    hear nothing. It's
  • 12:18 - 12:22
    different story, to hol
on to God, when it feel
  • 12:22 - 12:24
    like heaven is lik
    brass, and you don't see
  • 12:24 - 12:27
    to get through. It's
    different story, to hol
  • 12:27 - 12:30
    on to that scripture
    When you come there, an
  • 12:30 - 12:32
    you're in so much pain
    and you take that man
  • 12:32 - 12:35
    pain medication, that yo
    feel like a zombie, an
  • 12:35 - 12:37
you don't know how to g
    anymore, and you fast an
  • 12:37 - 12:39
    you pray and you d
    everything and nothin
  • 12:39 - 12:42
    changed. That's
    different story. An
  • 12:42 - 12:45
    there comes a place o
    hopelessness, and a plac
  • 12:45 - 12:48
    of where you feel
    cannot continue. I jus
  • 12:48 - 12:50
    stopped just a few day
    ago, I heard a wonderfu
  • 12:50 - 12:54
    intercessor that just li
    before God says I canno
  • 12:54 - 12:59
    anymore. Yeah, man
    people at that spot. Bu
  • 12:59 - 13:04
    God gave me a strategy
    And that's everything
  • 13:04 - 13:07
    knew, taking Hol
    Communion before God
  • 13:08 - 13:11
    Every morning before
    ate, or before I drank
  • 13:11 - 13:16
    Why? Because ever
    morning, I had to b
  • 13:16 - 13:21
    reminded of the clas
    every morning as I wen
  • 13:21 - 13:24
    into remembrance befor
    God of what the cros
  • 13:24 - 13:24
    meant
  • 13:25 - 13:27
    and what Jesus has come
    for, and that for this
  • 13:27 - 13:29
    purpose, Christ was
    revealed to destroy the
  • 13:29 - 13:33
    words of the evil one.
    Every day, I had to
  • 13:33 - 13:36
    remember what it meant
when he says I was poured
  • 13:36 - 13:40
out. Every day, I had to
    think of what Psalm 22
  • 13:40 - 13:43
    really meant. And every
day it helped me to get
  • 13:43 - 13:46
    focused before God. And
    that's the strategy got
  • 13:46 - 13:48
    us. People asked me
    afterwards, they said,
  • 13:48 - 13:51
    what did you learn in
this time of 18 months in
  • 13:51 - 13:54
    your wheelchair? I can
    tell you what I learned.
  • 13:54 - 13:56
    I learned God is
    faithful. But more than
  • 13:56 - 13:58
that, I said, You know, I
    learned nothing about
  • 13:58 - 14:01
    God. He hasn't changed
    one word. He's been
  • 14:01 - 14:02
    faithful all along, asked
    me what I learned about
  • 14:02 - 14:05
to set a mighty lot. I
    can write the book of
  • 14:05 - 14:08
    what I learned about her.
    And it wasn't always that
  • 14:08 - 14:12
nice. And I tell you, I
    learned that many times I
  • 14:12 - 14:14
    would go before God, I
    couldn't pray, I couldn't
  • 14:14 - 14:17
    continue. I would just go
    and sit there and myself
  • 14:17 - 14:20
and says, I'm here. And I
    take this Holy Communion
  • 14:20 - 14:23
    because you said I have
    to when it felt like
  • 14:23 - 14:27
    nothing got through no
    answer from God. And that
  • 14:27 - 14:31
    was the secret. That was
    the strategy God gave me
  • 14:31 - 14:34
    at that time, until 18
    months later, God
  • 14:34 - 14:37
    miraculously healed me.
    But still, that was the
  • 14:37 - 14:40
    strategy that God gave me
    and I want to encourage
  • 14:40 - 14:45
you to go back and say,
How do I how do I rise up
  • 14:45 - 14:47
in this time? Oh, God. So
    now let's see for
  • 14:47 - 14:50
    actually I'll take
    another time. Let me take
  • 14:50 - 14:53
    you to the time actually,
    one of the most important
  • 14:53 - 14:56
of the times when I had a
    thyroid operation and my
  • 14:56 - 14:59
    voice and like that by
    accident, my vocal cords
  • 14:59 - 15:02
    with electricity And my
    voice was gone. And they
  • 15:02 - 15:05
    said to me that you've
    got a 50 50% chance to
  • 15:05 - 15:10
    ever talk again. And I
    talk I was whispering and
  • 15:10 - 15:12
    even that they didn't
want me to do and I'm a
  • 15:12 - 15:16
    preacher. Well, I'm not a
singer that I am not by
  • 15:16 - 15:19
    singing kills the living
    and racist the dead. But,
  • 15:19 - 15:22
    but I'm a preacher, and I
need my voice and I need
  • 15:22 - 15:23
    my voice first for the
work of God. And then I
  • 15:23 - 15:26
    couldn't speak at all.
And I went before God and
  • 15:26 - 15:29
    I said, Lord, you know,
    we can now call Robert
  • 15:29 - 15:32
    Shaka, in Jesus name, I
bind to devil, we can do
  • 15:32 - 15:35
that. Or we can just go
    say, Oh, well, now it's
  • 15:35 - 15:37
just the way of the Lord
and I just have to accept
  • 15:37 - 15:40
it. No, you go and find
out from God, what is the
  • 15:40 - 15:43
    strategy you need to do
at this time, be it for
  • 15:43 - 15:45
    your church, be it for
your life, be it for your
  • 15:45 - 15:49
    family, and God will
    always guide you by His
  • 15:49 - 15:52
    Spirit into something
    specifically, and I want
  • 15:52 - 15:56
to take you at that time
    actually, we see in the
  • 15:56 - 15:58
    word of the Lord in
    Second Samuel 11, verse
  • 15:58 - 16:01
    13, that when David
    humbled himself before
  • 16:01 - 16:04
    the Lord, when, when his
    son of him and in
  • 16:04 - 16:07
    whichever was dying, he
    didn't sleep, he didn't
  • 16:07 - 16:08
sleep on his own bed. So
    you know what, that's
  • 16:08 - 16:12
    what exactly that in my
    own lounge, I went and
  • 16:12 - 16:14
    slept on the floor.
    Nobody knew about it, I
  • 16:14 - 16:17
would not go to my bed, I
    slept on that heart floor
  • 16:17 - 16:20
    before the Lord humbling
    myself, I didn't fight, I
  • 16:20 - 16:24
    didn't war. I could not
pray out loud. I was just
  • 16:24 - 16:26
    standing there before
    sleeping there in the
  • 16:26 - 16:28
    night before the Lord,
    like Samuel with a little
  • 16:28 - 16:31
    lamb. And I said, God,
    I'm here to worship you.
  • 16:31 - 16:35
    I'm here to just humbling
    myself before you. And I
  • 16:35 - 16:37
    just glorify you. By the
    third night that that
  • 16:37 - 16:39
    happened. I woke up the
    next morning, and I knew
  • 16:39 - 16:41
I would talk and I am
    talking again, I think
  • 16:41 - 16:44
    you can hear me clearly.
    That is sometimes that
  • 16:44 - 16:47
God might lead you into a
    strategy that's being led
  • 16:47 - 16:50
    by the Spirit of God.
    Now, how did you handle
  • 16:50 - 16:52
this all the time? So is
it Well, I would say the
  • 16:52 - 16:55
    secret of that was
    finding a strategy. But
  • 16:55 - 16:57
    most of all, all the
    time, no matter what came
  • 16:57 - 17:00
    my way, it didn't matter
if it was, when I was in
  • 17:00 - 17:01
    the wheelchair, it didn't
    matter when I had this
  • 17:01 - 17:06
    massive operations. And I
had to, I came to the
  • 17:06 - 17:09
    place where I didn't even
    feel like living anymore.
  • 17:09 - 17:11
    To be honest, it didn't
matter if it was my fire
  • 17:11 - 17:13
    or death, or whatever. If
it didn't matter if I was
  • 17:14 - 17:17
    virtually dying before
    God, of something that
  • 17:17 - 17:20
    that looked like cancer,
    I didn't matter what it
  • 17:20 - 17:22
    was. There was one thing
    that carried me through
  • 17:22 - 17:26
    all the time. And that
    was Isaiah chapter 55,
  • 17:26 - 17:29
    verse 11, so shall my
word be that goes out of
  • 17:29 - 17:32
    my mouth, it shall not
    return void, and to me,
  • 17:32 - 17:35
    but accomplish what it
    was sent for. And my
  • 17:35 - 17:38
    print, I say unto you
    today, this one thing
  • 17:38 - 17:41
    that will carry you, it
    is the revelation Word of
  • 17:41 - 17:45
God has given you in your
    life, for your family,
  • 17:45 - 17:47
    for your child, for your
    marriage, for your home,
  • 17:48 - 17:51
    and God Almighty is
    truthful to that word.
  • 17:51 - 17:55
    That's why it says so
    clearly. And Isaiah
  • 17:55 - 17:59
    chapter 27, and verse 19,
    it says, For God create
  • 17:59 - 18:02
    the fruits of our lips.
    And I would pray that
  • 18:02 - 18:06
word, I held the word, I
    held the vision, because
  • 18:06 - 18:09
    that is the only thing
    that will keep your ship
  • 18:09 - 18:12
in the midst of a stone
    to keep direction.
  • 18:12 - 18:16
    It is that original word
that God has given to you
  • 18:16 - 18:18
    doesn't matter if it
    looks as if everything
  • 18:18 - 18:20
    has gone wrong. It
    doesn't matter if it
  • 18:20 - 18:24
looks as if that is what
    God said, and you are
  • 18:24 - 18:27
    absolutely the opposite
    direction. That is what
  • 18:27 - 18:31
    God said, and God cannot
    lie. And that's the only
  • 18:31 - 18:33
    thing that will carry you
    through before the loving
  • 18:33 - 18:36
    God, I encourage you
    today. Go back and find
  • 18:36 - 18:39
    out what did God say,
    don't go to the other
  • 18:39 - 18:41
    person's prophecy or the
    other person's
  • 18:41 - 18:44
    revelation, you go back
    to that verse you
  • 18:44 - 18:47
    underline before the Lord
that He has given you for
  • 18:47 - 18:50
    your life and your
    ministry, and go and
  • 18:50 - 18:53
    speak that out again. And
maybe you want to do it
  • 18:53 - 18:56
    in fasting and prayer.
    Now that's something I
  • 18:56 - 18:59
use a lot. I fast and
pray a lot. But you know
  • 18:59 - 19:01
what we can also in that
    get into a system that's
  • 19:01 - 19:04
    how you force that's how
    you pray, ask the Lord,
  • 19:04 - 19:06
at the moment I in my
team are on a force the
  • 19:06 - 19:09
    time of just stopping six
    o'clock at night, taking
  • 19:09 - 19:12
    holy communion and we
    force dinner. Now most
  • 19:12 - 19:14
    people are I'm fasting
    this I'm fasting that are
  • 19:15 - 19:18
    you careful that you
    don't get into a
  • 19:18 - 19:20
    spiritual religious
    system, but don't find
  • 19:20 - 19:24
    out from the Holy Spirit.
    What is the strategy God
  • 19:24 - 19:26
has for you. And then you
    take that and you start
  • 19:26 - 19:28
    praying the word and you
    go back and take your
  • 19:28 - 19:31
    church back into that for
you who had this time in
  • 19:31 - 19:34
    a very difficult
    situation. Behold, the
  • 19:34 - 19:37
    word of the Lord has
    never changed. the
  • 19:37 - 19:40
    calling of God has never
    changed. And that which
  • 19:40 - 19:42
    he has given you will
    never change and God
  • 19:42 - 19:46
    still create the words
    and the fruits of our
  • 19:46 - 19:51
    lives. And I encourage
    you right now, that is
  • 19:51 - 19:55
    what will keep you going.
    Faith comes by hearing
  • 19:55 - 19:59
    and hearing the word of
    the Lord. And that's
  • 19:59 - 20:04
    backed by what Stand by,
    you know, you might just
  • 20:04 - 20:07
    feel I've done that I
    fasted. I prayed. I've
  • 20:07 - 20:11
done it all. Go back and
do it one more time and
  • 20:11 - 20:12
see what the Lord will do
    for you.
