  1. Ne Sinchronizuotas
  2. Ne Sinchronizuotas
    LOUD TONE
  3. Ne Sinchronizuotas
  4. Ne Sinchronizuotas
  5. Ne Sinchronizuotas
[Peter Sellers] Yes, that's Peter Sellars, and the name
  6. Ne Sinchronizuotas
[Studs Terkel] Peter Sellars evokes controversy, but more than that
  7. Ne Sinchronizuotas
thoughtfulness and a sense of being alive
  8. Ne Sinchronizuotas
Peter Sellers, who is staging a, shall I say,
  9. Ne Sinchronizuotas
quite unconventional interpretation of Wagner's Tannhäuser at the Lyric right now.
  10. Ne Sinchronizuotas
There was one phrase that's been used attributed to Diagoleth
  11. Ne Sinchronizuotas
'Astonish me' is what he asked of his artists. That pretty much is you.
  12. Ne Sinchronizuotas
    You seek to astonish.
  13. Ne Sinchronizuotas
Well the amazing thing about live performance is that it is live
  14. Ne Sinchronizuotas
and therefor everybody in the room has the sense that they're alive
  15. Ne Sinchronizuotas
right now at this moment and they'll never forget this moment again
  16. Ne Sinchronizuotas
This moment has to hit with a special kind of ping.
  17. Ne Sinchronizuotas
And astonishing is exactly it. It doesn't matter whether people really understand it
  18. Ne Sinchronizuotas
Or even whether they like it. You know a show that people really hate
  19. Ne Sinchronizuotas
is just as useful to me as a show that people love, because in any case,
  20. Ne Sinchronizuotas
they never forget it, in any case it's good for a half hour at any dinner conversation
  21. Ne Sinchronizuotas
you know they can say 'I just saw the worst thing in the world last night'
  22. Ne Sinchronizuotas
or they can say I just the best thing in the world last night.
  23. Ne Sinchronizuotas
It's all the same. It's just fine. And you know in a strange period in America
  24. Ne Sinchronizuotas
where everybody thinks everybody has to like everything.
  25. Ne Sinchronizuotas
You know I think it's very important that you do something that a lot of people can't stand
  26. Ne Sinchronizuotas
and that, because this is the United States of America doesn't mean you can't go to it.
  27. Ne Sinchronizuotas
You have to go to something you don't like, just like we have to allow people who have different political views
  28. Ne Sinchronizuotas
from us to live in the same neighborhood.
  29. Ne Sinchronizuotas
It's one of those things about this country that's great.
