  5. I think that's what really interesting
    to businesses.
  6. It's not about being open or being closed,
  7. it's just about building software
    in the best and fastest way possible.

    the Open Source world by storm
  10. and it's not just about open source,
  11. it's about software development.
  12. We want to help businesses
    use the same tools and the same workflows
  13. that developers already love
    to build their software better.
  14. We meet with a lot of companies.
  15. We talk to them all the time
    about software development,
  16. and there are two themes
    that have been coming up a lot lately:
  17. de-emphasis on infrastructure
  18. and an emphasis on communication.
  19. No one wants to worry about the platform
    upon which they build their software,
  20. they just want to worry about
    the software.
  21. And people don't want to worry about
    running around an office
  22. trying to find someone
    to do a code review,
  23. they just want it to work
    really naturally.
  24. So we focus on workflows,
  25. and we want to make
    those workflows available
  26. in any environment that you choose.

  30. We want to come to you.
  31. Whatever your preferred ecosystem is,
  32. we want GitHub to work,
  33. and be the best way to do it there.
  34. We've been talking to
    a lot of customers
  35. and a lot of them are moving to AWS.
  36. It's one of the best pieces
    of modern infrastructure available,
  37. and we want GitHub to be right there.

  39. We built it from the ground up
  40. and one of the most
    significant features that is has
  41. is the ability to deploy an AWS,
  42. which allows you to deploy it
    where you're most comfortable.
  43. GitHub on AWS improves the lives
    of administrators
  44. because it enables them
    to focus on what they're good at.
  45. The administrators don't have to focus
    on the hardware aspects,
  46. the networking aspects,
  47. which frees them up
  48. to focus on the things
    that are important to their business
  49. and to deliver value to their customers.

    of GitHub Enterprise to date.
  51. Not only have we included support
    for Amazon Web Services,
  52. but we've added a number of features
    around code review,
  53. project management,
  54. software deployment,
    and authentication and security
  55. to give your company the ability
    to have the best way to build software,
  56. on the best software infrastructure.
  57. We've included support of SAMLs
  58. specifically four identity providers,
  59. OneLogin, PingIdentity,
    Shibboleth and Okta.
  60. We've also expanded our support
    for LDAP services,
  61. giving people more options
    if they're using that method as well.
  62. If you're in an industry
    that's really compliant intensive,
  63. be that government's [Fed Ramp]
  64. or Health Care's, HIPAA,
  65. AWS is certified for all of those,
  66. which means that you can maintain
    the security and data privacy
  67. that's required by your industry,
  68. but at the same time you can use
    a really modern developer tool set
  69. and a really modern developer platform
  70. so that you can actually deliver software
    in a rapid and streamlined way.

    with just 50 seats
  74. and then you can increase it to a thousand
    or a couple of thousand
