  • 0:01 - 0:03
So here's the URL that we
spoke about in the last video.
  • 0:03 - 0:06
And here are the Sign-in button
    styles that you can see.
  • 0:06 - 0:10
On the right hand side here,
you can see a Download Files link.
  • 0:10 - 0:13
And it says that it includes
    Sign-In buttons in PNG and
  • 0:13 - 0:16
    PSD format in many
    different resolutions.
  • 0:16 - 0:18
    It also includes base,
    hover, and pressed states so
  • 0:18 - 0:21
that you can show some animation
as the user clicks on the button.
  • 0:21 - 0:27
If you click the Download Files link
a zip file will get downloaded,
  • 0:27 - 0:31
and if I open that zip file you'll
see a directory structure like this.
  • 0:31 - 0:33
Here are my sign in assets, and
  • 0:33 - 0:36
in my sign in assets we can
    see different drawables.
  • 0:36 - 0:40
So we can see I've buttoned
    google_focus, buttoned google_normal,
  • 0:40 - 0:41
    pressed, etc.
  • 0:41 - 0:44
And as I select them you can
    actually see the buttons
  • 0:44 - 0:45
here in preview on the Mac.
  • 0:45 - 0:51
And it's got them in drawable.hdpi,
    mdpi, tvdpi, xdpi, and xxdpi.
  • 0:51 - 0:54
And you may notice that in
Android Studio you have a very similar
  • 0:54 - 0:55
    collection of directories.
  • 0:56 - 1:01
Here under res I have drawable,
    drawable-hdpi, drawable-mdpi, etc.
  • 1:01 - 1:05
So, all you have to do is copy
the files from the zip folder, into
  • 1:05 - 1:09
Android Studio, so that they can become
available to you in Android Studio.
  • 1:09 - 1:11
So here, you can see my drawable-hdpi,
  • 1:11 - 1:14
and I have the different Google
    buttons available to me.
  • 1:14 - 1:17
    So this is the small
    button in disabled mode.
  • 1:17 - 1:20
    This is the small
    button in focused mode.
  • 1:20 - 1:22
This is the small button in normal mode.
  • 1:22 - 1:23
This is the small button in press mode.
  • 1:23 - 1:26
You can see the subtle change in colors.
  • 1:26 - 1:31
Similar for the sign in button,
    disabled, focused, normal and pressed.
  • 1:31 - 1:34
You're going to be using the sign in
button and customizing your app for
  • 1:34 - 1:37
    the sign in area over
    the next few steps.
  • 1:37 - 1:41
So go ahead and download the zip file
and then unzip it into Android Studio.
  • 1:41 - 1:44
You can work from the same app as
you used in the earlier module, or
  • 1:44 - 1:46
if you prefer, you can create
a new one that's exactly the same.
  • 1:46 - 1:49
I've actually created a new one for
    this.
  • 1:49 - 1:52
But do remember that if you do create
a new one; on the developers console,
  • 1:52 - 1:55
you'll have to create credentials for
    the new one,
  • 1:55 - 1:57
using the naming of the new one or
you won't be able to sign in.
