I believe that
my voice has power.

I only recently discovered
that and it was incredible.

My name is
Isabella Moreira.

I've been acting for a few
years and I'm also a singer.

Actually, I lost my voice at
a very early age, when I was only 7.

Somebody told me I didn't
have it in me for the first time

and I believed it fully.

Until I was about 15,
I was sure they were right.

Even though I was working
and achieving success,

I grew up believing
I would never make it.

It was then that I
found myself in the craft.

I realized that even though my desires
and dreams don't make sense in some places

I could be whomever
I wanted to in the art universe.

When I started studying feminism
and empowering myself as a woman,

my voice resurfaced.

Now I do things that I would never
have had the courage to do 5 years ago.

Now I do those things.

I'll do it alone if I have to.

I was harassed among my peers,
people that I'm very fond of.

For the first time,
I decided to do something.

I didn't declare a war,
I did it through dialogue.

Through my voice.

I see the person who
harassed me changing a lot,

not only toward
me but every woman.

I feel extremely
fulfilled by that.
