Najúžasnejší poznatok

je vedomie toho,

že atomy, z ktorých sa skladá život na zemi,

atomy, ktoré tvoria ludské telo,

majú svoj počiatok v taviacich peciach hviezd, ktoré vo svojom jadre

zpékaly ľahké prvky do ťažkých

v podmienkach extrémnych teplôt a tlaku.

Tieto hviezdy, teda tie s vysokou hmotnosťou,

sa ku koncu života stali nestabilnými.

Zrútili sa a potom explodovali a rozmetali svoje vnútornosti naprieč galaxiou.

Vnútornosti z uhlíku, dusíku, kyslíku

a všetkých základných prísad života.

Tieto prísady sa stali čásťou plynného oblaku,

ktorý sa zahusťoval a zrútil, až vytvoril dalšiu generáciu hviezdnych sústav,

hviezdy s obiehajúcími planétami. A tieto planéty teraz obsahovali prísady k tvorbe života.

Preto ked sa pozriem hore na nočnú oblohu,

víem, že sme súčasťou vesmíru, že sme v nom.

Ale zároveň, co je možno eště dôležitějšie,

víem, že aj vesmír je v nás.

Ked sa nad tým zamyslím, pozriem sa hore.

Mnoho ľudí má pocit, že sú voči obrovskému vesmíru zanedbatelne malí.

Já se ale cítím velký, pretože moje atómy pochádzajú práve z týchto hviezd.

Na istej úrovni sme prepojení.

A to je to, čo v živote väčšinou chcete - cítit sa prepojený a nejakým spôsobom významný.

Chcete mať pocit, že sa zúčastníte diania,

aktivit a událostí okolo vás.

A to sa presne deje, už len tým, že sme tu a živí.
