The best Tulum cenote is Sac Actun! We enjoyed our cenote tour experience here more than any other cenote in the Tulum area during our trip to the Yucatan Peninsula.

Cenote Sac Actun is known as the largest underwater cave system in the world with over 350km of connections. It's also located only 30 minutes from Tulum and is the best cenote we found in the area. Today, you can snorkel or dive part of this cave system, making it a unique and unforgettable experience.

There are so many cenotes throughout the Yucatan Peninsula that it can be really difficult to decide which one to visit during your trip to Mexico. We visited about 15 cenotes and this one was our favourite. Why? Because it’s different than the others. You don’t just swim and take a look at it but you truly experience it.

A certified guide takes you through narrow caves in small groups. He tells the history of the cenotes as well as what you can see. The tour lasts for about an hour and costs 600 Pesos per person at the time of this video. Don’t just take our word for it.
