Hi Asmaa, thanks for your question.
-
and also for your kind comments!
-
and congratulations on starting in your program here at AC.
-
And I know you have aspirations not just to study here and graduate, but
-
maybe some day join us as a professor,
-
and that's a very very ambitious, and very noble goal.
-
You know, faculty positions are so rewarding.
-
I was a faculty member in the college system for 16 years
-
Very very rewarding, you get to change students' lives.
-
also very demanding. So! Here's my advice if you want to do that.
-
First of all study hard.
-
Do as well as you can in your program, talk to your professors,
-
and talk to them about the life of a professor, and the demands of the job.
-
but also the rewards.
-
and when you graduate, get lots of experience. Network with different people.
-
Get to know the business of business, if you know what Imean.
-
And really decide if teaching is for you.
-
Maybe teach a course in continuing education, and part-time studies to see what teaching is really like.
-
and then bring that experience that you get from the business world and from your part-time teaching
-
to the college, or to any college actually in Ontario, Canada, and the world.
-
and I wish you every success, you'll have the world by the tail.
-
Thanks!
