    Hello, RINA here!
  • 0:03 - 0:07
I'm filming in my kitchen for the first time.
  • 0:07 - 0:11
I woke up and did my makeup. I still haven't eaten,
  • 0:11 - 0:15
so I'll be making some lunch.
  • 0:17 - 0:23
For some reason I've really been wanting to eat pancakes.
  • 0:24 - 0:27
This is the pancake mix I bought.
  • 0:27 - 0:29
I was really interested in this one.
  • 0:30 - 0:31
    I'll be cooking this.
  • 0:32 - 0:34
This is my first time making this one.
  • 0:37 - 0:40
You put milk directly into the jug.
  • 0:44 - 0:48
I'm using this milk. It's my second one.
  • 0:49 - 0:51
    Meiji's organic milk.
  • 0:53 - 0:54
    Then...
  • 0:56 - 0:58
You fill it up to this line.
  • 1:01 - 1:03
    Adding it now.
  • 1:13 - 1:14
You have to put quite a bit in.
  • 1:14 - 1:18
    Shake it for one minute.
  • 1:20 - 1:23
    It's getting really thick.
  • 1:25 - 1:27
I wonder if it's been a minute already.
  • 1:39 - 1:41
I'll be cooking the pancakes now.
  • 2:31 - 2:34
Done! They were done in an instant.
  • 2:35 - 2:37
    I'll eat them now.
  • 2:38 - 2:40
    Here I go.
  • 2:40 - 2:44
It's been a while since I've eaten pancakes.
  • 2:45 - 2:47
You want to eat them once in a while, don't you~
  • 2:48 - 2:49
    Here I go.
  • 2:52 - 2:54
    It's delicious!
  • 2:59 - 3:01
    It's really good.
  • 3:02 - 3:06
    I think I'll talk as I eat.
  • 3:13 - 3:16
I've really been wanting to film a video as I eat.
  • 3:16 - 3:19
I really like mukbangs. Watching them as well.
  • 3:23 - 3:26
    It's really good.
  • 3:33 - 3:35
On my way back from the studio the other day,
  • 3:36 - 3:43
someone called out to me saying, "I'm a YouTube subscriber!" for the first time.
  • 3:44 - 3:47
That really made me happy. It felt really fresh.
  • 3:48 - 3:53
There seem to be a lot of people who know me from YouTube.
  • 3:55 - 3:58
Recently I uploaded a weekly vlog,
  • 3:58 - 4:03
and in the subs of the clip where we were all eating in the dressing room,
  • 4:03 - 4:05
I put the names of my band members, manager,
  • 4:05 - 4:09
and I also included our staff from "her."
  • 4:10 - 4:13
More than half knew who they were,
  • 4:13 - 4:18
but there were some who watched my videos for the first time and didn't understand who our staff is,
  • 4:18 - 4:21
so I'll explain it a bit.
  • 4:21 - 4:28
"her" is the name of our band's private imprint label.
  • 4:28 - 4:37
The four of us established this label about two years ago.
  • 4:37 - 4:45
We release our music and our videos through it.
  • 4:45 - 4:50
We had previously been with the same label for 10 years ever since our major label debut.
  • 4:51 - 4:55
When 10 years passed and were wondering what our next step would be,
  • 4:55 - 5:02
we thought we'd try refreshing the environment in which we make music in.
  • 5:02 - 5:08
We wanted to see what we could do
  • 5:08 - 5:10
and thought about that a lot.
  • 5:10 - 5:15
The four of us started from wanting to do something for the first time,
  • 5:15 - 5:18
and we decided to launch our own imprint label.
  • 5:18 - 5:21
Of course, we had the support of many staff members,
  • 5:21 - 5:23
which is how we were able to launch it.
  • 5:23 - 5:27
When we were deciding on a label name,
  • 5:27 - 5:37
we had a rough idea of wanting to go with a name that let you know the label is affiliated with women.
  • 5:37 - 5:42
We thought about going with a name that made that easy to picture.
  • 5:43 - 5:45
There were a lot of candidates,
  • 5:47 - 5:54
but the name "her" sounded the best to us at the time.
  • 5:54 - 5:57
So, we decided to go with "her" for our label name.
  • 5:57 - 6:09
We didn't fully understand what it was all about when we started it,
  • 6:09 - 6:12
but we went with that name.
  • 6:12 - 6:21
As we carried on with the label, the content of it began to unravel—
  • 6:21 - 6:25
Rather, it felt strange that we were deciding things ourselves.
  • 6:25 - 6:34
More and more we felt that we wanted to do was linked to the name of our label.
  • 6:34 - 6:37
    What we now know clearly
  • 6:37 - 6:42
is that we want to be a band while valuing being women.
  • 6:42 - 6:48
That is what's clear to us.
  • 6:48 - 6:52
With how things are going on in the world right now,
  • 6:52 - 6:59
we've had more time to think about that we want to do,
  • 6:59 - 7:02
and what we've really been thinking about recently
  • 7:02 - 7:08
is that it's very important that we ourselves feel happy.
  • 7:09 - 7:16
There are certainly times when writing songs or playing shows can feel like a chore,
  • 7:16 - 7:20
but we also feel that when we produce something good,
  • 7:20 - 7:25
we can't be satisfied with it unless we go through hardships to some extent.
  • 7:25 - 7:31
Continuing to act with even more freedom...
  • 7:32 - 7:33
    How should I put this...
  • 7:33 - 7:38
It doesn't mean that we can slack off, nor that it'll be smooth sailing.
  • 7:38 - 7:42
Being able to play music freely...
  • 7:42 - 7:48
That's not something we realized even more after starting "her,"
  • 7:48 - 7:58
but what suits our current pace is our label "her."
  • 7:58 - 8:00
    (This has gotten emotional.)
  • 8:00 - 8:05
We wondered what we could consider as happiness right now,
  • 8:05 - 8:12
and that's to convey what we think, how we live, and how we think.
  • 8:12 - 8:18
Those who catch that can hopefully become a better person than they were before,
  • 8:18 - 8:20
like themselves for who they are,
  • 8:20 - 8:24
    feel brighter, feel more motivated.
  • 8:24 - 8:29
Having people seeing us like that and understanding what we're trying to say
  • 8:29 - 8:32
    would make us really happy.
  • 8:33 - 8:42
So that's why we think it'd be great if we could communicate our thoughts in all kinds of ways.
  • 8:42 - 8:46
We've come to think that it's great to have many different outputs.
  • 8:47 - 8:49
    It's important to produce results,
  • 8:49 - 8:56
but it's even more important to do something you want to cherish or what makes you feel happy.
  • 8:56 - 8:59
(Is this a concert MC or what?)
  • 8:59 - 9:02
This may also apply to YouTube,
  • 9:02 - 9:08
but I really do like creating things outside of music.
  • 9:09 - 9:15
I think of the best way to convey my thoughts at a given time,
  • 9:16 - 9:19
and if I could do so in different ways, then that'd be great.
  • 9:19 - 9:26
Whoever accepts them and decides to challenge themselves,
  • 9:26 - 9:31
that could be a positive thing gained for them, which would make me happy.
  • 9:31 - 9:36
If you have something you want to do,
  • 9:36 - 9:40
it's fine to start small. Just go for it.
  • 9:42 - 9:48
I don't think it has anything to do with age or gender.
  • 9:48 - 9:57
I'm often asked, "I'm __ years old; is it too late for me to start playing the drums?"
  • 9:57 - 10:01
I don't think it's ever too late to start playing an instrument.
  • 10:01 - 10:04
You can do it at any age,
  • 10:04 - 10:06
    In any kind of way.
  • 10:06 - 10:12
You should do what you want to do.
  • 10:12 - 10:19
I'm asked things like, "How should I express my personality?",
  • 10:19 - 10:24
but I think it completely differs for each person.
  • 10:25 - 10:33
That's why I feel that everyone has their own personality from the start by just doing what they want to do.
  • 10:33 - 10:37
We're all different from the get-go.
  • 10:37 - 10:45
It's normal to think about what the results of something you do will be; what others will think of you; or if you can do something,
  • 10:45 - 10:49
but you only do what you can do.
  • 10:51 - 10:57
Rather, that can be an obstacle in itself.
  • 10:57 - 11:02
but when you really try doing what you want to do, that alone will make you unique.
  • 11:05 - 11:07
I don't think I can explain it well, though.
  • 11:07 - 11:11
(This has turned into an emotional MC.)
  • 11:11 - 11:13
    This is changing the subject,
  • 11:13 - 11:19
but "her" is the private imprint label that we established
  • 11:19 - 11:22
and we are releasing music through it.
  • 11:23 - 11:28
Really, I just want you to live the way you want to.
  • 11:28 - 11:29
    (We're at the finale.)
  • 11:29 - 11:33
    (We're at the finale.)

That was really long, but that's really what I think.
  • 11:38 - 11:41
It's easy to forget when you're just living your life normally,
  • 11:41 - 11:43
    But you know,
  • 11:45 - 11:50
imagine how many years you have left until you turn 100.
  • 11:50 - 11:53
Just do what you want and live the way you want.
  • 11:53 - 11:55
    That's what I think.
  • 11:55 - 11:59
(The continuation [of this MC] will be on 8.21 during our livestream. My 29th birthday & the band's 14th anniversary!)
  • 11:59 - 12:03
Live the life you love! Be in harmony!

    (Live!)
  • 12:04 - 12:06
    It's the same for everyone.
  • 12:06 - 12:10
    Anyway... lol
  • 12:10 - 12:16
That's it for today's mukbang video.
  • 12:18 - 12:19
    The food was delicious.
  • 12:19 - 12:21
See you in my next video!
  • 12:22 - 12:23
    Later!
