In 2016 Christian initiated Powercoders, a coding academy for refugees, that will be a licensable concept like TEDx this year. In this talk he tells us his personal story of how he went from feeling completely powerless to being back in the driver's seat. He used his skills as an entrepreneur to open doors for people in need and urges us to join him, to make the world a better place.

A Swiss serial business and technology entrepreneur, Christian is an open innovation pioneer and the founder of, a crowdsourcing platform. In 2009, he was selected to be on the Swiss national set-up team, named 40 under 40 by Bilanz in 2012, and in 2016 represented Switzerland at the Global Entrepreneur Summit at Stanford.

This talk was given at a TEDx event using the TED conference format but independently organized by a local community. Learn more at
