Correlation on Subsets - Data Analysis with R

  • 0:00 - 0:03
Based on the correlation coefficient in this plot, we
  • 0:03 - 0:06
just observed that the relationship between age and friend
  • 0:06 - 0:10
count is not linear. It isn't monotonic, either increasing
  • 0:10 - 0:13
or decreasing. Furthermore, based on the plot, we know
  • 0:13 - 0:16
that we maybe don't want to include the older ages
  • 0:16 - 0:19
in our correlation number. Since older ages are likely
  • 0:19 - 0:23
to be incorrect. Let's re-calculate the same correlation coefficient
  • 0:23 - 0:26
that we had earlier with users who are ostensibly
  • 0:26 - 0:29
age 70 or less. What Cmd would you use to subset our data
  • 0:29 - 0:33
frame so that way we can get a correlation coefficient for just this data?
