Mason Mount: "Confidence is high. We're scoring goals"

a comprehensive victory,

Yeah.

(reporter) --which
must be a welcome--

not only distraction, but
also a welcome result here.

Yeah, it's a massive
result. It's not always

an easy place to come to.

I think also we had the
result away at Wolves

and now coming and doing--

doing similar again.

So look, we're scoring
goals at the moment.

I think the confidence
is high, but often you've

always got to keep your feet
on the ground and obviously

now going into the
international break

and then obviously
coming back and focusing

on trying to keep and
maintain these performances.

(reporter) Talk to me
about this goal, the one

that you scored in the second.

It was a brilliant
move, wasn't it?

Yeah, I can remember
just heading the ball

and then just trying
to get into the box

and trying to follow my run.

And then it fell to Willie,
and he put me through.

So when you're in front
of goal and especially

in the Premier League, you've
got to take your chance.

You don't have many
chances like that.

I had another one,
but I missed there.

But yeah, you don't
have many chances.

So I just tried to score.

And obviously, I was
buzzing with that.

(reporter) Buzzing because
this is, of course,

a big rivalry for you.

You were born and bred on
the other side of Hampshire,

and you're back in Hampshire
but at Southampton,

where those two don't
particularly get on very well.

[LAUGHS] Yeah, I was--

I was born not too far away.

So yeah, it may be the
extra bit special feeling

for me scoring here.

But I think the
times I played it,

I think I've won every time.

So it's been a
good place for me.

And obviously, the main
focus is winning today.

And we did that.

(reporter) Yeah, and
that is something

that Chelsea haven't done this
season so far, put back to back

Premier League wins together.

How important is that?

Yeah, very important.

I think the main one
was the Brighton game,

winning first game
at home, clean sheet.

And I thought we built--
we built on that.

So yeah, it's obviously
brilliant to get two wins going

into the international break.

And hopefully, we
can keep this going.

away with England now.

Are you going to be OK and fit?

Because you've got a bit
of strapping on your ankle

at the moment.

Yeah, I'm fine.

It's just precautionary, trying
to keep the swelling down.

You always have a little
bit of swelling there

when you've had an injury.

But yeah, I'm fine.

And obviously, having four
boys going from Chelsea,

we're looking forward to it.

We're buzzing for it.
