One of the best things you can do to protect your Yahoo account is to change your password from time to time. It's easy to do--learn how in this quick video.

  1. How do I change my password?
  2. Start from the Yahoo home page
  3. Click your name
  4. Or start from another Yahoo page
  5. Click the gear icon
  6. Select Account info
  7. You may be asked to re-enter your password
  8. If so, type your current password and click Sign In
  9. Now you're on your account page
  10. Click Account security
  11. Click Change password
  12. Enter your new password
  13. Your new password must be between 8 and 32 characters long
  14. It cannot be a single character repeated and cannot contain your name or your Yahoo ID
  15. It cannot be the same as or similar to a password you've used before
  16. Don't use the same password that you use on another site!
  17. Enter your new password again to confirm it
  18. Click here any time to see what you're typing
  19. Success! You've changed your password
  20. Never share your password with anyone!
  21. Use your new password for all Yahoo products
  22. Don't forget to update your password in other places it's stored, such as your smart phone's mail app
