-
Neil, on his 10th birthday party, he does something different.
-
He says, "I'm going to invite all my friends and we are going to do a free car wash for the community."
-
So they had their board and their gingle
-
and all these strangers pulled up on the driveway.
-
They split up into the pre-rinse team, the soap team, the rinse team, the tire team.
-
They were just going at it.
-
Now imagine if you are pulling up in one of these cars.
-
The people come out of these cars and they are completely bowled over.
-
They are like, "What are you doing this for? Is this a fundraiser? That's amazing! I'd like to contribute.
-
"No, no, we are not doing this for a fundraiser. We are actually just practicing generosity."
-
It was amazing to see the connections between these strangers and the kids, but what was even more amazing was how these kids bonded.
-
So you can be Facebook friends and those loose ties have their value.
-
You can go out to movies with your friends and those deep ties have their value.
-
Or you can serve others together
-
and that creates gift ties and those are priceless.
