Sonia Maćkowiak is a Spanish teacher and Spanish Linguistics PhD candidate. She is originally from Poznań (Poland), but lives in Madrid. She speaks Polish, English, Spanish, Portuguese and French. During her 10-year career as an English and Spanish teacher, she has worked in Poland, Spain and the UK. The objective of her PhD research is to create a panoramic view of the geographical distribution of diminutive suffixes in Spain and Hispanic America based on the maps in Atlas Lingüísticos.
