This Is It! – The Final Satsang in Rishikesh - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED TO WATCH

  • 0:05 - 0:09
    This Is It!
  • 0:09 - 0:13
    Rishikesh, India - 30th March 2015
    (with subtitles)
  • 0:13 - 0:17
    The final Satsang happened
in a local chai shop to the ashram
  • 0:17 - 0:19
the night before Sri Mooji left Rishikesh.
  • 0:19 - 0:23
    The powerful message and pointing
is shared here for all to hear.
  • 0:23 - 0:25
    Om Namah Shivaya
  • 0:27 - 0:33
[Mooji] Only the Supreme can see the Supreme.
  • 0:33 - 0:35
If you see some light and you think,
  • 0:35 - 0:41
'Oh my god, there is God!'
    it is not complete.
  • 0:44 - 0:50
    Because who are you
who has the capability to see God?
  • 0:54 - 1:00
If you see God in some form and it is true,
  • 1:00 - 1:07
    then it means that,
also, the one who sees is the same thing.
  • 1:07 - 1:09
But if you think you are seeing God
  • 1:09 - 1:13
and you are a person seeing God,
  • 1:13 - 1:18
then the God you see is not real.
  • 1:18 - 1:20
    It's also phenomenal.
  • 1:20 - 1:23
    If you are phenomenon,
    what you see is phenomenon.
  • 1:25 - 1:29
To people, I say this thing every time,
it is the most practical thing,
  • 1:29 - 1:35
but you don't take it in for some reason.
  • 1:35 - 1:38
You listen to it like it's a teaching,
  • 1:38 - 1:42
and I am not teaching you anything at all.
  • 1:42 - 1:45
It's like you ask me, 'Where's the milk?'
  • 1:45 - 1:49
I say it's inside this fridge. You go and take it.
    That's all.
  • 1:49 - 1:55
I'm not teaching you how to make milk,
and how to milk a cow.
  • 1:55 - 1:57
You ask, I tell you where it is.
  • 1:57 - 2:00
Then go take it, if you want it.
  • 2:00 - 2:02
I don't even tell you to go
  • 2:02 - 2:07
because it's nowhere different from you.
  • 2:07 - 2:10
So something must be happening in the mind,
  • 2:10 - 2:13
where you take the words I'm telling you
    as a teaching,
  • 2:13 - 2:19
then you say, I'll go and think about it',
    and you miss your chance.
  • 2:24 - 2:33
    I don't put the Truth
one micro-millimeter away from my own Self.
  • 2:33 - 2:35
    But you do!
  • 2:35 - 2:41
    That is the difference.
  • 2:41 - 2:43
    You still persist in believing
  • 2:43 - 2:45
that it is something that you can reach,
  • 2:45 - 2:49
and if you do something more,
meditate more, you'll get to it.
  • 2:49 - 2:56
    These are all illusions only.
  • 2:56 - 2:59
And maybe, we are fascinated by this thought,
  • 2:59 - 3:04
because in some kind of way
  • 3:04 - 3:08
the ego has got an investment
    in this type of belief.
  • 3:08 - 3:15
    Because you can believe this,
    and your ego will survive.
  • 3:15 - 3:18
    Because you're supporting a delusion;
  • 3:18 - 3:21
you are supporting a duality also.
  • 3:21 - 3:26
'If I only do this, then I'll get nearer to it.'
    All this is delusion.
  • 3:27 - 3:30
    [Questioner] When you were saying,
  • 3:30 - 3:36
something still wants to learn, or so,
I don't feel it like this.
  • 3:36 - 3:43
    I feel that
I'm very much there with you in seeing.
  • 3:43 - 3:46
I can also perceive in this seeing,
  • 3:46 - 3:48
    this true place, big place.
  • 3:48 - 3:54
I can also see the little, let's say,
which is kind of a force,
  • 3:54 - 3:57
because I don't know what is it.
  • 3:57 - 4:01
But it's not so good, it's not white.
  • 4:01 - 4:07
It puts me down, it's like it sleeps tight.
  • 4:07 - 4:09
    And even ...
  • 4:09 - 4:12
[Mooji] But you must think, really.
  • 4:12 - 4:14
You say, 'It puts me down'.
  • 4:14 - 4:17
I'll ask you to revise what you say,
  • 4:17 - 4:23
    because she is one
who's words are most trustworthy now.
  • 4:23 - 4:26
    Because when you first came,
  • 4:26 - 4:29
very, very troubled, troubled, troubled mind.
  • 4:29 - 4:35
But now, your words, her words now have changed.
  • 4:35 - 4:39
Her words since I know her,
    her words have changed.
  • 4:39 - 4:41
    Before they were words.
  • 4:41 - 4:46
Now, they are the energy of Truth.
  • 4:46 - 4:49
    It's a big difference.
  • 4:49 - 4:53
Before when she spoke, her words were words.
  • 4:53 - 4:58
    Most people when they speak
    their words are words, concepts.
  • 4:58 - 5:04
    When she speaks now,
she speaks more from experience. You see?
  • 5:04 - 5:08
So, the words have a different vibration about them.
  • 5:08 - 5:11
They have a power, and they have authority,
  • 5:11 - 5:17
and they don't create any agitation inside.
  • 5:17 - 5:19
But when you speak this little bit,
  • 5:19 - 5:23
you say, yeah, I see also some energy there,
  • 5:23 - 5:25
    and they pull me down.
  • 5:25 - 5:30
I stop her, and I say, no, revise what you say.
  • 5:30 - 5:33
Because it is you who determines
  • 5:33 - 5:35
whether something is true or not, now.
  • 5:35 - 5:38
She has the power to determine
  • 5:38 - 5:44
whether something is true or not, now.
  • 5:44 - 5:48
So if you say, something has the power
    to pull me down.
  • 5:48 - 5:53
    I say, please revise, reflect,
and say if it is true,
  • 5:53 - 5:56
    can something pull you down?
  • 5:56 - 5:58
    [Q.] I see it's untruth.
    [Mooji] Hmm?
  • 5:58 - 6:03
[Q.] I see this is not true.
    [Mooji] It is not true.
  • 6:03 - 6:05
[Mooji] And why I challenge this thing?
  • 6:05 - 6:09
Because if you let that slip by,
  • 6:09 - 6:12
then it's a little victory for your mind again.
  • 6:12 - 6:17
    But if you catch him,
and you say, no, actually, I spoke this,
  • 6:17 - 6:20
but now when I revise it, I see it is not true,
  • 6:20 - 6:24
    then you cut him.
  • 6:24 - 6:28
    This is what is happening.
  • 6:33 - 6:39
    This is why her seeing
is one of the most authentic.
  • 6:39 - 6:41
Her seeing is one of the most authentic.
  • 6:41 - 6:45
    Why? Because something has persisted,
  • 6:45 - 6:49
    not merely in intellectual conviction.
  • 6:49 - 6:51
[Mooji to a friend] Thank you.
  • 6:51 - 6:57
[Mooji] Not merely through intellectual conviction
  • 6:57 - 7:00
    but through experiential conviction.
  • 7:00 - 7:03
    To look, and to see,
  • 7:03 - 7:06
and to watch the forces, how they move,
  • 7:06 - 7:08
and then to look and to say,
  • 7:08 - 7:10
yeah, OK, but I can see this.
  • 7:10 - 7:13
That's only what I ask you to do.
  • 7:13 - 7:16
I don't ask anybody to make anything up.
  • 7:16 - 7:19
    Just you look,
  • 7:19 - 7:22
    you observe, you confirm,
  • 7:22 - 7:26
and say who you are who is doing this.
  • 7:26 - 7:29
    That is all.
  • 7:31 - 7:35
    If you follow my pointing,
  • 7:35 - 7:40
you will reach your goal, so to speak,
  • 7:40 - 7:43
    in the shortest time.
  • 7:45 - 7:48
The only thing that gets in the way
  • 7:48 - 7:54
of the realisation of the Self is fear.
  • 7:54 - 7:59
Something is afraid to go beyond the person.
  • 7:59 - 8:04
    The person is, somehow,
playing as a kind of a fact,
  • 8:04 - 8:08
and fear comes that if the person,
  • 8:08 - 8:13
    if the person dissolves,
it's going to create a lot of pain.
  • 8:13 - 8:17
[Mooji calls out] Amma, please come.
    Amma, come, come.
  • 8:17 - 8:19
We will get her a chair. She can sit.
  • 8:19 - 8:23
No, she can sit down here,
    she can sit here.
  • 8:23 - 8:27
[Mooji] No, she can sit there.
  • 8:27 - 8:29
    Come here, Amma.
  • 8:29 - 8:33
You can sit here, Amma. Ammaji.
  • 8:33 - 8:36
    [Amma] Thank you.
    [Mooji] Very, very good.
  • 8:36 - 8:39
    [silence]
  • 8:52 - 8:55
    Again, the pointing,
  • 8:55 - 8:58
I say pointing and not teaching,
  • 8:58 - 9:04
    because teaching requires a student.
  • 9:04 - 9:08
    And a student,
the very nature and the role of a student
  • 9:08 - 9:11
    is to learn something.
  • 9:11 - 9:13
    While you embrace this thing as a student;
  • 9:13 - 9:18
initially, we have to play these roles,
it has to be like that.
  • 9:18 - 9:21
You must play through convention at the beginning,
  • 9:21 - 9:24
    follow convention for the beginning,
  • 9:24 - 9:28
    and gradually, as you stabilise
    in real understanding,
  • 9:28 - 9:33
    then the roles you're playing
    will fall away by themselves.
  • 9:37 - 9:42
    There's no need to insist
  • 9:42 - 9:46
    on labelling yourself as anything.
  • 9:46 - 9:48
In the beginning, we cannot help it.
  • 9:48 - 9:52
In the beginning like this, it is OK, it's light.
  • 9:52 - 9:56
You've not plunged deeply enough yet
    for it to matter.
  • 9:56 - 10:06
    But gradually, gradually
as the mind and the being is immersed
  • 10:06 - 10:09
in the energy field of satsang,
  • 10:09 - 10:13
then the grosser forms of ego
    are dissolving away,
  • 10:13 - 10:17
and some kind of spiritual refinement is happening.
  • 10:17 - 10:20
And gradually, with this refinement, like this,
  • 10:20 - 10:25
one is more able to grasp subtler truths.
  • 10:25 - 10:27
    It's all happening automatically.
  • 10:27 - 10:31
    Everything is happening automatically.
  • 10:31 - 10:33
    If there is earnestness,
  • 10:33 - 10:40
meaning that if there is genuinely
    an urge for freedom;
  • 10:40 - 10:48
if there is genuinely an urge to know God,
  • 10:48 - 10:50
then you don't have to go around
  • 10:50 - 10:54
    trying to figure out
    little problems here and there.
  • 10:54 - 10:58
You will focus on the main thing.
  • 10:58 - 11:04
When you get the main thing
    everything else will be satisfied.
  • 11:04 - 11:07
    You cannot water a tree
    by watering the leaves.
  • 11:07 - 11:11
You have to go to the root.
You must go to the root.
  • 11:11 - 11:15
With everything, go to the root.
  • 11:15 - 11:20
    If you strongly feel,
  • 11:20 - 11:25
'Yes, I wish to wake up to what is True',
  • 11:25 - 11:27
then if your urge is genuine
  • 11:27 - 11:30
it will take you to a pure-hearted soul
  • 11:30 - 11:34
or someone who can guide you,
  • 11:34 - 11:37
at least to the next few stages.
  • 11:37 - 11:41
    If you are fortunate enough
to meet a Jnani, or something,
  • 11:41 - 11:44
then they can take you all the way
  • 11:44 - 11:47
    and in the shortest time.
  • 11:52 - 11:56
It really is not difficult to awaken to the Truth.
  • 11:56 - 12:00
It is not difficult at all.
  • 12:00 - 12:04
    What seems to be difficult
  • 12:04 - 12:10
    is somehow the willingness
  • 12:10 - 12:16
    to go beyond our attachments;
  • 12:16 - 12:19
    the willingness to tackle
    the fears that come up
  • 12:19 - 12:23
that make us feel to go further,
  • 12:23 - 12:25
then you are going to perish,
  • 12:25 - 12:32
    and all of these things
    which are mind-created delusions.
  • 12:32 - 12:35
And most of us would know by now
  • 12:35 - 12:39
    that these are not truths.
  • 12:39 - 12:41
They are just the mind's bluffs.
  • 12:41 - 12:45
    The mind is bluffing
and telling you things to put you off.
  • 12:45 - 12:49
And who are you? Consciousness itself -
  • 12:49 - 12:55
    consciousness that is temporarily
    in a state of hypnosis
  • 12:55 - 13:02
in believing it is merely a person -
  • 13:02 - 13:05
    restricted consciousness.
  • 13:09 - 13:13
    When the urge arises inside
    the consciousness as a person,
  • 13:13 - 13:16
    when it suffers the person,
  • 13:16 - 13:21
    then it produces the aspiration
    to go beyond personhood.
  • 13:26 - 13:30
Where is the book that I gave you?
    You wrote it down.
  • 13:30 - 13:33
Again, I remind you what we said this morning,
  • 13:33 - 13:37
I said this, just we were talking at the house.
  • 13:37 - 13:41
I tell you again, because we're talking
    and these things come up.
  • 13:41 - 13:45
[Mooji reads] 'When you lose the eyes of the ego,
  • 13:45 - 13:50
you see with the eyes of God.
  • 13:50 - 13:55
While identity, while identity persists in us,
  • 13:55 - 13:58
we see and experience the world
  • 13:58 - 14:01
    shaped by our projections alone.
  • 14:01 - 14:03
    When ego falls away,
  • 14:03 - 14:06
only then we see the world as it truly is.'
  • 14:06 - 14:11
The miracle of God, the miracle of existence.
  • 14:11 - 14:13
    Meaning that everything is fine,
  • 14:13 - 14:19
everything is in its perfect place,
    even right now.
  • 14:19 - 14:23
But you will not know it,
  • 14:23 - 14:28
or experience it, or appreciate it,
  • 14:28 - 14:34
while we are persisting in the deluded state
    of being a person.
  • 14:34 - 14:37
You will not experience it as it is.
  • 14:37 - 14:40
You will experience it through your projections,
  • 14:40 - 14:42
    through your identity.
  • 14:42 - 14:45
Only when the ego state is transcended
  • 14:45 - 14:47
    through perfect understanding,
  • 14:47 - 14:50
then it will confirm, you will see, 'Hah!'
  • 14:50 - 14:54
    Because people say,
    'Wow! Suddenly, everything is beautiful!
  • 14:54 - 14:56
    Suddenly, people are so wonderful!
  • 14:56 - 15:02
Suddenly, I find that all worries have gone.
  • 15:02 - 15:04
I'm waking up feeling very healthy.
  • 15:04 - 15:07
My interactions with my family have changed'.
  • 15:07 - 15:09
    All these things, suddenly!
  • 15:09 - 15:13
I said, It was always like this.
  • 15:13 - 15:15
    But you always missed it,
  • 15:15 - 15:19
because you were following your projections
    born of delusions.
  • 15:19 - 15:21
    So you never saw it.
  • 15:21 - 15:25
    Most people, they feel that
when they are in a state of Grace,
  • 15:25 - 15:27
    they're experiencing a new world.
  • 15:27 - 15:33
No, it is the same world being perceived freshly,
  • 15:33 - 15:37
and truthfully, like that. It's like that.
  • 15:43 - 15:47
    We are deeply attached to our identity;
  • 15:47 - 15:50
deeply attached to our identity as a person.
  • 15:50 - 15:59
This is the spell of consciousness,
  • 15:59 - 16:05
that when it lives in its self-portrait as a person
  • 16:05 - 16:09
it becomes attached to its self-image,
  • 16:09 - 16:16
    and believes the self-image
is the fact of its being.
  • 16:16 - 16:18
It has an urge to go beyond.
  • 16:18 - 16:24
    It has a natural intuition
that the person is not enough.
  • 16:24 - 16:26
    But it has fear,
  • 16:26 - 16:29
    because it does not know
    what lies beyond the person.
  • 16:29 - 16:34
But that is only in the state of delusion.
  • 16:34 - 16:40
Because you are not able to evaluate any state
  • 16:40 - 16:42
until you are coming out of it.
  • 16:42 - 16:46
    Only when you're coming out
    of one state into another,
  • 16:46 - 16:48
    you can look and say,
  • 16:48 - 16:51
'So I didn't realise I was so tense, my gosh!'
  • 16:51 - 16:54
But when you're in it and believing it,
  • 16:54 - 17:02
it seems to fill your consciousness
and it feels like a fact.
  • 17:02 - 17:07
    There is one Earth,
but there are billions of worlds.
  • 17:07 - 17:13
Inside each body, a unique composition,
  • 17:13 - 17:19
the movie of the world is being played.
  • 17:19 - 17:21
And the viewer of this world,
  • 17:21 - 17:26
    the experiencer of this world
  • 17:26 - 17:30
is consciousness in the form of the person.
  • 17:30 - 17:33
    Billions of movies,
  • 17:33 - 17:37
    billions of interpretations,
  • 17:37 - 17:43
and in each body that private projection
  • 17:43 - 17:45
    forms an attachment,
  • 17:45 - 17:49
    that this is my world,
I don't want to give it up.
  • 17:49 - 17:55
    And yet, by nature,
it is compelled to keep changing the movie.
  • 17:55 - 17:59
    Every day
  • 17:59 - 18:02
    is unique, unrepeatable,
  • 18:02 - 18:05
and yet in the mind it registers
  • 18:05 - 18:09
like this is a truthful world.
  • 18:09 - 18:13
    So the beingness itself
gets identified with person and is afraid.
  • 18:13 - 18:18
    It's afraid, 'Oh, I'm afraid'.
Like the person is going to evaporate.
  • 18:18 - 18:23
Whereas the person is not real.
  • 18:23 - 18:28
    It's made up every moment.
  • 18:28 - 18:35
Underneath the person is the consciousness.
  • 18:35 - 18:38
And that unmixed consciousness which is experienced
  • 18:38 - 18:43
    through the vibration of Presence,
    or the sense 'I am',
  • 18:43 - 18:45
when you know that 'I am' feeling,
  • 18:45 - 18:48
and it's not combined or linked
  • 18:48 - 18:55
to any other psychological states or to identity,
  • 18:55 - 18:58
    your experiences will be true.
  • 18:58 - 19:00
    You can say true.
  • 19:00 - 19:03
In fact, no experience is really true,
  • 19:03 - 19:06
but they will be more truthful.
  • 19:06 - 19:13
They will be more kind, more loving, more God-like.
  • 19:13 - 19:16
But nothing that is born from time
  • 19:16 - 19:21
can be said to be real.
  • 19:21 - 19:25
    Unendingly transformative,
    everything is always changing
  • 19:25 - 19:28
and rightly so, that it's changing.
  • 19:28 - 19:31
So the opportunity for the human existence
  • 19:31 - 19:34
is to find that which is unchanging.
  • 19:34 - 19:37
    When the human being
    finds that which is unchanging,
  • 19:37 - 19:43
    they can alone ...
only then you can enjoy what is changing.
  • 19:43 - 19:46
You will not be threatened by what is changing,
  • 19:46 - 19:49
    because you would
    have discovered your timeless,
  • 19:49 - 19:54
    your imperishable Self.
  • 19:54 - 19:59
Satsang is facilitating all of that seeing.
  • 20:03 - 20:08
This should not take so long, in fact.
  • 20:08 - 20:14
But what you have against you,
you may say like this, in the play,
  • 20:14 - 20:19
    is persistent identity,
  • 20:19 - 20:23
    the reflex for the consciousness
  • 20:23 - 20:27
to go back into its psychological identity,
  • 20:27 - 20:31
and the attachment to that identity,
  • 20:31 - 20:33
    and the fear that grows,
  • 20:33 - 20:37
the insecurities that grow out of that state.
  • 20:37 - 20:43
    And life has to provide
    intense and painful experiences,
  • 20:43 - 20:46
because through intense or painful experiences,
  • 20:46 - 20:53
or boring, you can say also, or sicknesses,
  • 20:53 - 20:56
    whatever crisis, experience life provides,
  • 20:56 - 21:00
is only to assist the being
  • 21:00 - 21:05
    to produce sufficient aspiration
to grow to the next stage,
  • 21:05 - 21:07
if you want to say like that.
  • 21:07 - 21:12
A Jnani has transcended all states.
  • 21:17 - 21:25
It is easier to transcend all states
    than to transcend some.
  • 21:25 - 21:29
If you only want to transcend
this one and that one, that one,
  • 21:29 - 21:32
    it would be impossible.
  • 21:32 - 21:37
But if you want to transcend all states,
    it will be very easy.
  • 21:42 - 21:44
Because to want to transcend some,
  • 21:44 - 21:48
means that you retain some identity.
  • 21:48 - 21:51
And if you hold on to any identity
  • 21:51 - 21:57
it will grow seeds of delusions
    and distraction for you,
  • 21:57 - 22:03
    and it will inhibit
  • 22:03 - 22:07
    the evolution of consciousness,
    you can say like that.
  • 22:16 - 22:20
    I'm going to go soon.
So anybody wants to say anything more?
  • 22:20 - 22:23
[Questioner 2] I want to say thank you.
  • 22:23 - 22:29
There is so much gratitude for everything,
  • 22:29 - 22:31
for having met you in this life,
  • 22:31 - 22:36
for what you have shown me, for what's here,
  • 22:36 - 22:41
and the clarity, and the strength, and the love.
  • 22:41 - 22:44
    I'm very grateful, Guruji.
  • 22:44 - 22:46
    [Mooji] It is good.
  • 22:46 - 22:52
    Anyone who rediscovers the Self,
  • 22:52 - 22:55
your Heart will be full of gratitude.
  • 22:55 - 22:59
    Gratitude is your truest response,
  • 22:59 - 23:07
because you have earned your salvation to be free,
  • 23:07 - 23:12
to be free from the tyranny of the delusion,
  • 23:12 - 23:17
to come back to a state of 'emptiness'.
  • 23:17 - 23:20
Not the emptiness that the mind is afraid of,
  • 23:20 - 23:23
    but True 'emptiness'
  • 23:23 - 23:30
where there is no one planning any existence,
  • 23:30 - 23:35
there is no one being peaceful,
  • 23:35 - 23:38
    there's no one being aware.
  • 23:38 - 23:40
    There is only the Awareness.
  • 23:40 - 23:42
    And you are that Awareness
  • 23:42 - 23:47
and it is so vividly clear for you
  • 23:47 - 23:51
that all the schemes of the mind
    and all of that,
  • 23:51 - 23:55
    they cannot touch you.
  • 23:55 - 24:02
It's like a dog barking at a flying bird.
  • 24:02 - 24:08
    The mind's big ...
    [makes sound of dog barking]
  • 24:08 - 24:12
and the bird of freedom is untouched.
  • 24:17 - 24:21
Even that has too much in it.
  • 24:21 - 24:25
Even that has too much in it.
  • 24:25 - 24:28
    [silence]
  • 24:38 - 24:42
The seeds of Grace are already planted inside you.
  • 24:49 - 24:52
The posture of your heart and your attention
  • 24:52 - 24:54
should be always just to say,
  • 24:54 - 25:00
yes, rid me of ego and merge me with you.
  • 25:00 - 25:03
    That's your little work.
  • 25:03 - 25:06
    And keep quiet,
  • 25:06 - 25:10
    and trust, and see.
  • 25:13 - 25:15
You don't have to be working at yourself,
  • 25:15 - 25:21
chiselling away at anything at all.
  • 25:21 - 25:24
But what has been pointed out to you,
  • 25:24 - 25:27
you must try to confirm over and over again,
  • 25:27 - 25:29
    because it is simple.
  • 25:29 - 25:31
Truth does not ask you to create.
  • 25:31 - 25:35
You cannot create or improve upon
    what is already perfect.
  • 25:35 - 25:40
    You can only discover that.
  • 25:40 - 25:45
    But if you yourself identify
    as the imperfect one,
  • 25:45 - 25:49
mind will itself take the form of an impostor,
  • 25:49 - 25:53
and he will present to you
    many, many tricks and trails,
  • 25:53 - 25:58
    and techniques, and maps,
    and procedures to perform,
  • 25:58 - 26:03
    to reach that
which you can never be separate from,
  • 26:03 - 26:09
    but only imagine
that you have come apart from it.
  • 26:14 - 26:18
    There are thousands of beings
    who are aching to hear
  • 26:18 - 26:22
what you are hearing now so easily.
  • 26:27 - 26:30
They don't want to hear it only from a book.
  • 26:30 - 26:35
They want to hear it from the living presence.
  • 26:39 - 26:41
    Living presence doesn't mean,
  • 26:41 - 26:46
because I'm in the body or something like that.
  • 26:46 - 26:48
    Because I told you before,
  • 26:48 - 26:51
some people, they say like that,
    that, 'You have to listen,
  • 26:51 - 26:55
and you have to be with a living Master',
    this type of thing.
  • 26:55 - 27:02
A true Master, actually, as I said,
    Is the only one alive.
  • 27:07 - 27:11
Look at ... if you want to
    have an example of this,
  • 27:11 - 27:20
    Jesus Christ left the body
two thousand two hundred years ago,
  • 27:20 - 27:22
and still now, people are having
  • 27:22 - 27:29
living and dynamic relationships with Him.
  • 27:29 - 27:33
Sai Baba of Shirdi left the body many years ago,
  • 27:33 - 27:37
he has disciples now also, new disciples now.
  • 27:37 - 27:42
    The Buddha, 2,500 years ago,
    new Buddhists are being formed.
  • 27:42 - 27:45
With whom are they having their relationship?
  • 27:45 - 27:48
Is it only with some practice?
  • 27:48 - 27:55
It has to be more than a practice.
A practice cannot touch your heart.
  • 27:55 - 28:01
    Only with the living spirit.
  • 28:01 - 28:04
    If you love Krishna,
  • 28:04 - 28:09
    you have to love Him
    beyond merely his historical form.
  • 28:09 - 28:15
You can have a living relationship
with the living spirit of Krishna.
  • 28:21 - 28:27
    Because they are pointing
    to the deathless inside you.
  • 28:27 - 28:29
When you find the deathless inside you,
  • 28:29 - 28:33
you will know the deathless that they are.
  • 28:38 - 28:43
    It says, even to believe
  • 28:43 - 28:48
in the deathlessness of a Jnani,
  • 28:48 - 28:52
    makes you deathless.
  • 28:52 - 28:58
    Because you inherit that Grace.
  • 29:03 - 29:08
You should not think of anything
    that is dead or perishable,
  • 29:08 - 29:10
    except delusion.
  • 29:10 - 29:13
    [silence]
  • 29:28 - 29:32
Why should you not be the next Jnani?
  • 29:32 - 29:35
    Why not?
  • 29:37 - 29:41
Even drop 'next'. Why are you not now?
  • 29:41 - 29:43
    Why next?
  • 29:48 - 29:51
Is it merely belief? Is it determination?
  • 29:51 - 29:55
    No, it is not.
  • 29:55 - 30:00
Grace and understanding will confirm for you
    your true position,
  • 30:00 - 30:04
but there must arise in you
    the earnestness for that.
  • 30:04 - 30:09
    Where does that come from?
Because even earnestness you cannot produce.
  • 30:09 - 30:13
Only that Grace is also acting as that.
  • 30:13 - 30:16
But one thing you can draw some inspiration from
  • 30:16 - 30:19
is that It brought you here!
  • 30:26 - 30:31
And it will never abandon you.
  • 30:33 - 30:37
Only you turn away from it.
  • 30:37 - 30:40
    [silence]
  • 30:49 - 30:52
    Such is the play.
  • 30:59 - 31:03
Do you think God can be apart from what is here?
  • 31:03 - 31:05
    You want to meet God?
  • 31:05 - 31:12
You can meet God right now,
    you can meet God.
  • 31:12 - 31:15
    Even I will tell you,
  • 31:15 - 31:21
    forget about meeting,
because meeting has a future about it.
  • 31:21 - 31:24
    Meeting means two.
  • 31:32 - 31:36
So drop the notion of two,
    drop the notion of meeting,
  • 31:36 - 31:41
drop the notion of 'I' also.
  • 31:41 - 31:45
Who will do it? Who will do it now?
    Who will do it?
  • 31:45 - 31:49
    Who knows God now? Who?
  • 31:55 - 31:59
Who told you, you must wait?
  • 31:59 - 32:01
    Who told you next?
  • 32:01 - 32:04
    Who told you other?
  • 32:04 - 32:07
    [Silence]
  • 32:16 - 32:22
    Because if God is infinite,
God must be here now also, isn't it?
  • 32:27 - 32:30
How can God escape from here?
  • 32:30 - 32:33
    [silence]
  • 32:45 - 32:49
And who is more real, you or He?
  • 32:49 - 32:52
    [silence]
  • 33:02 - 33:07
And who tells you that there's a difference also?
  • 33:07 - 33:10
    [silence]
  • 33:23 - 33:27
Language created a lot of separation.
  • 33:27 - 33:31
But you are here before language.
  • 33:31 - 33:35
    You are here before language.
  • 33:35 - 33:37
    You are here before knowledge,
  • 33:37 - 33:41
because it is you who know knowledge
and you who know ignorance also.
  • 33:41 - 33:44
    Who are you?
  • 33:48 - 33:53
You are here before the concept of separation,
    or even of union.
  • 33:53 - 33:56
    [silence]
  • 34:12 - 34:16
Everybody is pretending. Everybody is pretending.
  • 34:16 - 34:21
    Everybody pretends.
  • 34:21 - 34:25
    But you forget you pretend.
    [laughter]
  • 34:25 - 34:28
    [long silence]
  • 34:46 - 34:50
So, are you empty or full?
  • 34:50 - 34:53
    [Voices in sangha] Empty.
  • 34:53 - 34:56
    [silence]
  • 35:07 - 35:11
    Are you somebody or nobody?
  • 35:11 - 35:14
    [silence]
  • 35:20 - 35:26
    Rosie said,
'Thank you for allowing me to be nobody'.
  • 35:32 - 35:35
[Friend] And only nobody is free.
  • 35:35 - 35:38
    [Mooji] Yes.
    [Friend] Only nobody is free.
  • 35:43 - 35:49
[Mooji] Outwardly, of course, you appear,
  • 35:49 - 35:57
you appear to be this or that.
    That is okay - outwardly.
  • 35:57 - 36:01
    But inwardly, are you somebody?
  • 36:07 - 36:09
You don't have to talk about it.
  • 36:09 - 36:14
You don't have to share that with anyone.
  • 36:14 - 36:17
    Keep that as your secret.
  • 36:26 - 36:32
[Q.2] Guruji, that reality that was seen
    in you so clearly,
  • 36:32 - 36:35
now it's like ... it's in here as well.
  • 36:35 - 36:37
    There is no difference.
  • 36:37 - 36:40
And still, I'm aware of that.
  • 36:40 - 36:43
    I perceive that as well.
  • 36:47 - 36:49
    Yeah.
  • 36:56 - 37:02
[Mooji] When you see the one
who perceives this has no form,
  • 37:02 - 37:05
    therefore has no growth,
  • 37:05 - 37:08
has no beginning, has no end,
  • 37:08 - 37:11
    [silence]
  • 37:20 - 37:28
that this one is genuinely not doing anything,
  • 37:28 - 37:36
    and yet unceasing activity continues
to spin out of this vastness,
  • 37:36 - 37:39
these are thankfully not easy things,
  • 37:39 - 37:42
that you don't have to explain them,
  • 37:42 - 37:46
you don't have to say anything about it.
  • 37:46 - 37:51
Just you know and you confirm.
  • 37:51 - 37:55
And then say what comes spontaneously
    as you move in life,
  • 37:55 - 37:59
    go as you please,
  • 37:59 - 38:02
    without pride.
  • 38:02 - 38:05
    [long silence]
  • 38:26 - 38:31
It is as though you are being
    scooped out from the inside
  • 38:31 - 38:35
    and replaced with Emptiness.
  • 38:37 - 38:42
Some divine taxidermy has happened to you.
  • 38:49 - 38:51
And you have to get used a little bit
  • 38:51 - 38:56
    to this feeling of Emptiness.
  • 38:56 - 38:59
In the beginning, you're not accustomed to it
  • 38:59 - 39:02
    and people feel uncomfortable,
  • 39:02 - 39:06
    sometimes lost, ungrounded;
  • 39:10 - 39:14
    the mind wants to understand,
  • 39:14 - 39:19
it wants to put things into categories.
  • 39:22 - 39:28
But just keep looking to yourself
and finding again that great space.
  • 39:28 - 39:31
    [silence]
  • 39:38 - 39:48
For those who have this urge inside them
    to fully awaken,
  • 39:48 - 39:50
    to what I'm pointing to,
  • 39:50 - 39:55
I gave you some clues, some tips.
  • 39:55 - 39:57
    Give up
  • 40:02 - 40:08
the concept that you have any rights in life,
  • 40:11 - 40:17
or don't even touch the idea of future.
  • 40:17 - 40:22
Because all these things make you weak.
  • 40:22 - 40:29
    When you don't have rights,
you see everything as a gift.
  • 40:29 - 40:31
When you drop the notion of future,
  • 40:31 - 40:38
    you are again in real-time
    with the universe again.
  • 40:38 - 40:48
Give up the need, give up the need to belong,
  • 40:48 - 40:52
    and to be accepted,
  • 40:55 - 41:02
and you'll be a friend to the whole world.
  • 41:02 - 41:07
    Give up self-definition,
  • 41:07 - 41:14
    and you'll fit in everywhere.
  • 41:14 - 41:20
Give up the idea that you can know someone.
  • 41:20 - 41:24
    You cannot know anybody.
  • 41:24 - 41:29
Give up the idea that you can know anything,
  • 41:29 - 41:34
and you will find the universal consciousness.
  • 41:38 - 41:43
Give up the idea that you are your body,
  • 41:43 - 41:48
and you will be the imperishable Self.
  • 41:51 - 41:55
But don't tell anybody about it.
  • 41:55 - 41:58
    [long silence]
  • 42:16 - 42:21
The mind cannot bear these type of words,
  • 42:21 - 42:25
but then, it doesn't really exist.
  • 42:25 - 42:28
    [long silence]
  • 42:48 - 42:53
    Fall in love with Emptiness.
  • 42:59 - 43:02
    Fall in love with love,
  • 43:02 - 43:05
but don't be a love story.
  • 43:05 - 43:08
    [long silence]
  • 43:22 - 43:24
    Then you will experience,
  • 43:24 - 43:28
your existence will feel like you are like space,
  • 43:28 - 43:31
    moving about in space.
  • 43:31 - 43:34
    [long silence]
  • 43:48 - 43:54
Tremendous love will be with you,
  • 43:54 - 43:58
    and unshakeable peace,
  • 44:01 - 44:05
    unfading happiness.
  • 44:05 - 44:08
    [silence]
  • 44:16 - 44:21
    You'll be comfortable knowing that
    nobody can understand you,
  • 44:21 - 44:26
nobody ever has, nor have you understood anybody.
  • 44:26 - 44:33
And yet, in a strange way,
    you know every living being.
  • 44:33 - 44:38
    You know every living being.
  • 44:38 - 44:40
When you look at their eyes,
  • 44:40 - 44:47
you know who is looking through them,
  • 44:47 - 44:49
    is 'you'!
  • 44:49 - 44:52
    [silence]
  • 45:02 - 45:06
So like this, fear will go.
  • 45:06 - 45:08
    [long silence]
  • 45:40 - 45:44
    The seed of illumination
is inside the Heart of every living being,
  • 45:44 - 45:46
    and every person.
  • 45:46 - 45:50
The power to awaken to the Self is in everybody.
  • 45:50 - 45:53
    [silence]
  • 46:05 - 46:09
But you must transcend or go beyond
  • 46:09 - 46:15
the belief in your own materiality.
  • 46:15 - 46:22
You must find the non-dual Self
    as your own reality.
  • 46:22 - 46:28
Don't worry about finding it in others,
    find it in yourself.
  • 46:28 - 46:32
And it will take care of everything else
    you need to know.
  • 46:32 - 46:35
    [long silence]
  • 47:02 - 47:08
In one way, the paradox is like
    everything in the world, truthfully,
  • 47:08 - 47:13
is helping you to realise the Self.
  • 47:13 - 47:19
    The paradox is that
it seems a lot of forces are here
  • 47:19 - 47:24
to sabotage you finding the Self.
  • 47:24 - 47:29
    Both are true.
  • 47:29 - 47:32
    Everything is here
  • 47:32 - 47:39
to assist you in discovering your eternal nature.
  • 47:39 - 47:44
And yet many things seem to play
  • 47:44 - 47:52
at encouraging you to forget who you are,
  • 47:52 - 47:57
and to waste your energy on perishable things.
  • 48:03 - 48:08
    Because as I said before,
Time says, 'Everything that you see,
  • 48:08 - 48:12
everything you imagine, belongs to me.
  • 48:15 - 48:19
From the birth of my concept as time,
  • 48:19 - 48:23
I have eaten all this world'.
  • 48:23 - 48:29
Only one thing time cannot eat
    and that is pure Awareness.
  • 48:29 - 48:35
While your body is warm, find that Awareness.
  • 48:35 - 48:38
    [silence]
  • 48:49 - 48:51
    OK.
  • 48:52 - 48:56
[Mooji] So, good enough for now, no?
    [Friend] Yes.
  • 48:58 - 49:02
    [Mooji] You should show
all the people in this room,
  • 49:02 - 49:05
because all of you have to wake up!
  • 49:05 - 49:09
We will look back at this film,
we will look back at this film,
  • 49:09 - 49:14
we will look back at this film at some point,
I don't know when it will be,
  • 49:14 - 49:18
and I will look back and will say,
    Awake, awake, awake,
  • 49:18 - 49:20
    awake, awake, awake, awake, awake,
  • 49:20 - 49:26
    Awake, awake. Awake.
    [laughter]
  • 49:26 - 49:28
I have to say this to you.
    [laughter]
  • 49:28 - 49:31
    [Sangha] Thank you.
  • 49:34 - 49:38
[F.] With a master like you, we have to.
    [Voice is sangha] Yes.
  • 49:38 - 49:42
    [Mooji] I'm not leaving you
    with any choice about it.
  • 49:42 - 49:44
    [F.] Yes.
    [laughter]
  • 49:56 - 50:01
[Voice in sangha] Thank you, Guruji.
    [Mooji] Very good, very good.
  • 50:01 - 50:03
    [laughter]
  • 50:12 - 50:16
[F.] We must be your best food.
  • 50:16 - 50:19
We must be your best food.
  • 50:19 - 50:21
[Mooji] You must be my best food.
  • 50:21 - 50:25
    You must become Prasad.
  • 50:25 - 50:27
    [laughter]
  • 50:27 - 50:31
    Because I said before, no?
  • 50:31 - 50:37
Because we were, not long ago,
few people were at the house
  • 50:37 - 50:42
and Chitanya said, 'You know, I feel very ...
  • 50:42 - 50:44
    I felt some pain inside,
  • 50:44 - 50:52
    because I see how close
    Lakshmi and Krishnabai and Janaki
  • 50:52 - 50:57
    they are with you,
and I wish I would be close like this'.
  • 50:57 - 51:02
And I said to him, You know something?
  • 51:02 - 51:08
From my side, there is absolutely no reason,
  • 51:08 - 51:12
nothing is stopping you from being close with me.
  • 51:12 - 51:16
In fact, why even speak about close?
  • 51:16 - 51:19
    Why not one?
  • 51:19 - 51:23
Why speak about close, because close is two.
  • 51:23 - 51:26
    Why not one?
  • 51:26 - 51:30
So there is no reason, nothing from my side,
  • 51:30 - 51:34
to cause you to be separate from what I am.
  • 51:34 - 51:38
    Except for your own mind.
  • 51:38 - 51:42
Your own mind cheats you out of it.
  • 51:46 - 51:55
    Because something wants to preserve
    your autonomy as ego.
  • 51:55 - 52:01
And it is cheating, it is cheating you
    out of your own eternity.
  • 52:06 - 52:08
    So you're responsible ...
  • 52:08 - 52:12
your responsibility is to treat your life
  • 52:12 - 52:15
as though you have no time.
  • 52:15 - 52:18
You don't have time to wake up.
  • 52:18 - 52:24
You don't have time for that lottery.
  • 52:24 - 52:29
Find that in yourself which is already awake.
  • 52:29 - 52:32
Because mind will try and sell you time.
  • 52:32 - 52:35
He will tell you, 'You need more time',
  • 52:35 - 52:38
    'You need more practice',
    'You need another retreat',
  • 52:38 - 52:41
'You need the next book, the next Youtube',
  • 52:41 - 52:48
'You need the next, the next, the next,
    the next life also'.
  • 52:48 - 52:51
    And you will buy it!
  • 52:51 - 52:54
    Because you bought it before.
  • 52:54 - 52:57
    [long silence]
  • 53:27 - 53:33
Nothing from the heavens has ever told you,
    you are separate.
  • 53:36 - 53:42
    This came from the earth.
  • 53:42 - 53:47
This came from the earth mind.
  • 53:50 - 53:52
    It came from consciousness,
  • 53:52 - 53:55
    because it has to play this role of duality;
  • 53:55 - 54:00
it has to play the role of delusion.
  • 54:00 - 54:04
It has to play awakening from this delusion.
  • 54:04 - 54:08
It has to play recovering from delusion.
  • 54:08 - 54:11
    [long silence]
  • 54:34 - 54:42
In the morning we are leaving this town now,
  • 54:42 - 54:46
but the words I'm sharing with you,
  • 54:46 - 54:49
    may they never leave you.
  • 54:49 - 54:52
    [long silence]
  • 55:36 - 55:38
    OK.
  • 55:43 - 55:53
So again, may all whose heart beats for the Truth,
  • 55:53 - 56:00
may all whose deep yearning is for liberation,
  • 56:00 - 56:04
is for harmony with the Supreme Being.
  • 56:08 - 56:15
    May your deepest wish,
your prayer come true, be fulfilled.
  • 56:15 - 56:22
    May you swiftly come
to the realisation of the Self, beyond doubt.
  • 56:25 - 56:28
    May you expand in wisdom,
  • 56:28 - 56:31
    and loving kindness,
  • 56:31 - 56:35
    compassion.
  • 56:35 - 56:40
And may all who meet you on the way
  • 56:40 - 56:48
    be moved, be touched,
be inspired by your light and peace,
  • 56:48 - 56:50
    by your openness,
  • 56:50 - 56:54
    kindness,
  • 56:54 - 56:57
    by your silence,
  • 56:57 - 57:00
    and wisdom,
  • 57:00 - 57:06
    so that they in turn
  • 57:06 - 57:13
may find that same Truth in themselves
  • 57:13 - 57:17
    and be happy.
  • 57:17 - 57:21
    [Mooji] So be it. Om.
    [Sangha] Om. Om.
  • 57:21 - 57:24
    [Mooji] Shanti, Shanti, Shanti.
  • 57:50 - 57:53
    [music]
  • 58:00 - 58:09
    The seeds of Grace
    are already planted inside you.
  • 58:09 - 58:12
The posture of your heart and attention
  • 58:12 - 58:15
should be always just to say:
  • 58:15 - 58:21
"Yes, rid me of ego and merge me with You."
  • 59:21 - 59:23
    Nothing from the heavens
  • 59:23 - 59:27
ever told you that you were seperate.
  • 60:54 - 60:57
    [Mooji] So
  • 60:57 - 61:03
I keep you in my heart with me,
and I come with you also.
