are great minds. Kids and adults with

Dyslexia often have really great ideas,

can work well in teams, figure out

difficult problems, and discover creative

solutions. Some of the most amazing

people in the world are Dyslexic! Some of

the coolest buildings of all time are

created by Dyslexic architects. Dyslexic

scientists save millions of lives with

their discovery. Dyslexic film makers have

made lots of Academy Award winning

movies. Dyslexic entrepreneurs have

built famous businesses, and

Dyslexic inventors pioneered cool

technologies. One of the most difficult

times for a Dyslexic person is when they

are young, and in school learning to read,

write, memorize math facts, and take lots

of timed tests. School can be tough, but

Dyslexic minds really do have advantages,

and Dyslexic people can often see and

understand in ways other people find hard.

Recently, scientists have discovered

patterns of strength among Dyslexic

people that we call "Mind Strengths". Some

talents include stronger 3-D spatial

reasoning, ability to make connections

and see the Big Picture, ability to learn

from experience and think in stories, and

ability to simulate and predict the future.
