Burger King | Whopper Neutrality

  • 0:00 - 0:03
    _Net Neutrality was just
  • 0:03 - 0:04
    It was?
  • 0:04 - 0:07
    [and it's very confusing]
  • 0:07 - 0:10
    With Net Neutrality some people
  • 0:11 - 0:15
...for what it's worth just...you know?
  • 0:15 - 0:18
I don't know exactly what it is.
  • 0:18 - 0:22

    with the Whopper®
  • 0:22 - 0:23
    WHOPPER
    NEUTRALITY
  • 0:23 - 0:24
    Got a number one.
  • 0:27 - 0:29
    - How're you doing?
    - Do you know what number 98,
  • 0:29 - 0:30
    what's going on with it?
  • 0:30 - 0:34
    - Number 98...you got the Whopper?
    - Yeah.
  • 0:34 - 0:37
    - You got the slow access Whopper pass.
    - Wait, what?
  • 0:37 - 0:41
It's on the menu right there
with the fast, medium and slow.
  • 0:41 - 0:47
    (Clerk) Slow MBPS, fast MBPS
    or hyper fast MBPS.
  • 0:47 - 0:50
    MBPS of course standing for
    Making Burgers Per Second.
  • 0:50 - 0:53
So if we want a Whopper now
we have to pay 26 dollars?
  • 0:54 - 0:55
That's how you get it fast,
  • 0:55 - 0:56
    that's the highest priority.
  • 0:56 - 0:58
This is like a lane system?
  • 0:58 - 1:00
    Yeah, fast lane, slow lane.
  • 1:00 - 1:01
    It's gonna be like 15, 20 minutes.
  • 1:02 - 1:03
    What are you talking about?
  • 1:03 - 1:05
    Burger King Corporation believes that
  • 1:05 - 1:06
    they can sell more
    and make more money
  • 1:06 - 1:08
    selling chicken sandwiches
    and chicken fries
  • 1:08 - 1:10
    so now they're slowing
down the access to the Whopper.
  • 1:10 - 1:12
    Were you given an option
    of a chicken sandwich or...?
  • 1:12 - 1:15
    I don't want a chicken sandwich,
    I really want a Whopper.
  • 1:15 - 1:18
Don't you have any Whoppers ready?
  • 1:18 - 1:20
    Yeah.
  • 1:22 - 1:25
The sandwich is ready, I'm just
not allowed to actually give it to you.
  • 1:25 - 1:29
You can't give me the sandwich,
it's ready but you can't give it to me?
  • 1:29 - 1:31
    The Whopper Neutrality was
    repealed, they voted on it.
  • 1:31 - 1:32
    - Whopper What?
    - This doesn't make any sense.
  • 1:32 - 1:34
    Unfortunately I have no
    other choice.
  • 1:34 - 1:36
    This is the worst thing
    I've ever heard of!
  • 1:36 - 1:40
    See, he got the fast...
and now he's getting his burger.
  • 1:40 - 1:43
    Are you kidding me?
You payed 26 dollars for a Whopper?
  • 1:43 - 1:47
    He ordered it.
    Now he's a higher priority.
  • 1:47 - 1:49
    - Come on guys, I want a burger, man!
  • 1:49 - 1:53
This is a bad dream right now.
I just want a (beep) burger brother!
  • 1:53 - 1:56
I feel like I'm going insane.
    This is (beep) crazy.
  • 1:57 - 2:03
Here's what I'll do - you have the bag,
and I can put it in the bag in 42 seconds.
  • 2:06 - 2:08
    Hold on, 10 seconds.
  • 2:09 - 2:13
    - We don't make the rules.
    - You just enforce these ridiculous rules?
  • 2:13 - 2:15
    Unfortunately we have to.
  • 2:15 - 2:19
(customer) I felt like I was being
taken advantage of in a sense,
  • 2:19 - 2:21
    as a customer coming in
    to get their food,
  • 2:21 - 2:22
it felt like a power move.
  • 2:22 - 2:26
    They already changed the policies
    overnight or whatever.
  • 2:26 - 2:30
    I didn't think that
    ordering a Whopper would really
  • 2:30 - 2:32
open my eyes up to Net Neutrality.
  • 2:32 - 2:34
    The Whopper actually taught me
    about Net Neutrality.
  • 2:34 - 2:36
    It's stupid but true.
  • 2:36 - 2:41
_The internet should be like the Whopper®:
    the same for everyone.

Title:
Burger King | Whopper Neutrality
Description:

// Mozillians: This video is all right reserved by Burger King. However it's good materials for education so I add it here. (Irvin)

The repeal of Net Neutrality is a hot topic in America, but it can be very difficult to understand. That’s why the BURGER KING® brand created WHOPPER® Neutrality, a social experiment that explains the effects of the repeal of Net Neutrality by putting it in terms anyone can understand: A WHOPPER® sandwich.

This effort aims to help people understand how the repeal of Net Neutrality will impact their lives.

The BURGER KING® brand believes the Internet should be like the WHOPPER® sandwich: the same for everyone.
