  1. Not Synced
If you're working as a computer scientist, no
  2. Not Synced
matter whether it's in computational biology,
  3. Not Synced
finance, logistics or even the secret service
  4. Not Synced
chances are that you will come across very
  5. Not Synced
tough problems that can only solved by a
  6. Not Synced
computer. Or so you might think because here's
  7. Not Synced
the bad news. There are literally thousands of
  8. Not Synced
problems out there for which you might think
  9. Not Synced
that its simple for a computer to solve them, but
  10. Not Synced
actually it's very hard, if downright impossible.
  11. Not Synced
This course introduces you to theoretical
  12. Not Synced
computer science. The area of computer science
  13. Not Synced
that deals with very hard problems. And I think
  14. Not Synced
that even if you plan to become a very practical
  15. Not Synced
computer scientist, it's vital that you know
  16. Not Synced
about those theoretical concepts, plus we will
  17. Not Synced
also encounter some really fascinating and mind
  18. Not Synced
    boggling results from theoretical computer
  19. Not Synced
science, such as deceptively simple problems
  20. Not Synced
that no computer will ever be able to solve.
  21. Not Synced
So Im happy to invite you to take this journey
  22. Not Synced
into the science of challenging problems.
