I have been volunteering with
Vientiane Rescue for two years

The reason for volunteering it's
0:25 - 0:30

Because I wanted to give back to society and

Give a hand to people who need help

But I also had another motivation
0:41 - 0:46

20 years ago
0:46 - 0:50

I was victim of a traffic accident
0:50 - 0:54

At that time
0:54 - 0:57

Rescue services were not existent
0:57 - 1:01

I had an accident and lost consciousness
1:01 - 1:05

People at the accident scene
took me to the hospital
1:05 - 1:08

When I think about it now
1:08 - 1:11

I was lucky I woke up after that
1:11 - 1:15

I woke up and didn't die that day
1:15 - 1:19

Life gave me another chance
and let me live, so
1:19 - 1:25

Now I want to devote myself and give back
to society and those who need help
1:25 - 1:29

To victims of traffic accidents
1:29 - 1:32

Sick people at home
1:32 - 1:37

Or victims of disasters
happening in Lao PDR
1:37 - 1:42

My team and I are proud to be
part of this Rescue unit
