[Interview with a new member]

My name is Aio Fukuda
and I'm 23 years old.

I used to be a professional
soccer player.

I've stopped playing soccer
as a professional.

Now I'm looking for
a new path.

[YOUR HISTORY WITH SOCCER]
When I was three years old,

I just started
kicking a soccer ball.

I studied at the Saitama Institute
of Technology.

I was aiming to be a professional,
and I started playing with FC Ryukyu.

So I've been playing soccer
for about 21 years.

[HOW DID YOU BECOME A PRO?]
A college senior of mine was
practicing with FC Ryukyu.

And their manager came to
Saitama to watch us play.

In that match I was able to
score some miracle goals.

And they asked me to play for them.
That's how I got scouted.

[LIFE AS A PRO]
My dream

of becoming a professional
soccer player became reality.

When it did, I realized it's not
much of a nice life.

For example, It's tough money-wise.

When I was a student I had a part-time job
which probably paid me more than that.

So it got really tough for me
to live like that.

You get more money if you
play in matches.

But I couldn't do that because my
technical skills weren't good enough.

Well, I did my best for that
one year and nine months.

The reality of it was tough for me.

[WHY DID YOU QUIT?]
I didn't have the passion

to be a professional soccer
player anymore.

That's the main reason.

Just to keep on doing it while I
couldn't be that passionate...

And I feel sorry towards my teammates who
are aiming for a top position...

When I started thinking of work,
having a second career...

Suddenly, my passion was gone.

I still love playing soccer. But
I have difficulties fitting into a team.

That's been very frustrating for me.

I started thinking maybe soccer isn't
for me, and my passion went away.

So I thought now is my chance.
And I decided to quit.

I want to get things going now.

[LAST DAY AS A PRO]
Of course it was frustrating that...

... my feelings toward soccer had changed.

When I said I wanted to quit,

I was told "Don't come back tomorrow."

They'd be fine without me.
I was like "Wow."

"So today is the last time I get
to play with everyone."

I was just mortified then.

So much that I cried
for a long time at home.

I still want to play with everyone...

Well, I did my best and I
have no regrets.

[REASON FOR JOINING TH]
I joined because...

Well, all I've ever done
is play soccer.

I don't know a lot of other people
that have different dreams.

Everyone I know just started
working at a company.

I've been watching Terrace
House for a long time.

There were lots of different people
that have been inspiring to me.

I want to find a distinct dream for me,
because I don't have one right now.

I've been thinking about joining
for some time now.

[ABOUT LOVE AT TH]
To be honest...

I really want to fall in love.

I want to be together with
one person for a long time.

I had a girlfriend half a year ago.

But we separated after one month.

Before that, I didn't have a
girlfriend for four years.

I want to fall in love with someone,

and it'd be great if that person
falls in love with me too.

[LOVE INTERESTS SO FAR]
Until now...

... there's only been one person
that I dated for a long time.

When I was in senior high,
or junior high,

I dated three girls, I think.

I don't fall in love a lot.

It just doesn't develop into love.

It's not a good thing, but it's
always just fooling around for me.

[WHAT'S YOUR TYPE?]
Well, as for looks...

I like tall girls with short hair.

But the girls I fall in love with
are completely different.

I'd suddenly start liking long hair...

Or I'd fall in love with a short girl.

I like girls that are nice,

and who make delicious Omelette rice.

Who seem like they might make
delicious Omelette rice.

Since senior high,

I've always had to get up at
four thirty or five in the morning.

Right now I just want to sleep in.
I want to take it easy.

I really do.
