On December 31, 2017 UR Medicine credit card payment devices will no longer be compliant as our current credit card readers do not accept cards enabled with chips. In order to achieve compliance, an interim payment processing solution will be used until the ePARC go-live on March 4, 2018. At that time the new devices will be compatible with eRecord.

What does this mean for you?
•New readers have been installed and connect directly to computer workstations – staff will no longer have to share readers.
•New steps will be in place to complete transactions – payments will be processed online via Wells Fargo Patient Payment System.
•The Wells Fargo Patient Payment system requires an account profile for each staff member processing payments, which should have been completed by this time.
•The new device offers the latest payment technology – patients may insert chipped cards, or tap to use Apple Pay or Google Wallet
