This is kind of new.
-
Okay, I'll start.
-
Hello, RINA here!
-
I'll be bringing you today's video from a place that's different than usual,
-
with a different vibe,
-
along with these two guests.
-
This video is related to the DAISY PROJECT.
-
So far, Seina and I have mainly done things for it
-
such as making items to garner support.
-
As we continued to do this for several months,
-
we heard from all kinds of people,
-
and this time we're working with these two
-
who accepted our offer of doing a collaboration.
-
First, I'll introduce them.
-
There's a tea company called teteria.
-
-It's a webstore, correct?
-Yes, it is.
-
This is Onishi, who sets up booths for them at festivals and events.
-
Thank you so much!
-
And this is Asuka, whom introduced me to Onishi,
-
and whom know each other because of work.
-
Thank you so much!
-
I don't really know where I should stand...
-
Could you two please tell us your job titles,
-
and a little about your jobs?
-
Of course. Should I start?
-
I'm wine stylist Asuka Ono.
-
Thank you for having me.
-
The office I'm part of was originally run
-
by Keisuke Ono, who writes for SCANDAL's radio program.
-
There, I produce and direct wine-based events.
-
When I published a book on Japanese wine,
-
I interviewed all sorts of people,
-
and that's how I came to know Onishi.
-
Now, when I need to serve non-alcoholic drinks,
-
I ask Onishi about different arrangements for tea we could do.
-
Since there will always be customers who do not drink,
-
I thought of how those people could enjoy events,
-
and I now serve Onishi's tea at them.
-
Since I was raised by a single mother,
-
I wanted to participate in RINA's project
-
and was thinking about what other kind of person I could introduce her to.
-
For this first step,
-
I introduced her to Onishi with the hope that everyone will drink his delicious tea.
-
Thank you very much.
-
Thank you!
-
I'm Onishi from teteria.
-
We sell black tea and tea leaves.
-
"tetetria" means "tearoom" in Spanish.
-
We handle the sales of tea leaves and wholesale distribution.
-
We focus on black teas and sometimes on herbal teas.
-
I've brought all sorts of teas today--
-
ones that are red, ones that are pink, etc.
-
They're so adorable.
-
That's what we'll be doing.
-
I think we'll still continue to spend a lot of time at home,
-
so brew some tea during those times!
-
You guys will be giving various lectures today,
-
which is why you've brought a lot of stuff.
-
Thanks so much!
-
Shall we get right into brewing the tea now?
-
Yes, let's,
-
If you would!
-
Onishi is going make tea now.
-
What's up first?
-
Today...
-
We made a tea called Pink Rose.
-
It's a mix of rose petals, hibiscus, and lavender.
-
You use boiling water with it.
-
You add the leaves.
-
By making hot herbal tea and quickly putting it over a bunch of ice,
-
you can make iced tea.
-
I see.
-
The aroma.
-
The color's nice too, but the aroma...
-
It's nice.
-
If you want to make it sweet,
-
you can use sugar, or you could use honey, which I recommend.
-
We need to add it while the tea's hot so that it melts.
-
You put in that much?
-
I like it pretty sweet.
-
When I put it in, I put a lot in.
-
Let it steep for 2-3 minutes.
-
The longer you let it steep, the more the hibiscus's acidity will come out,
-
so for those who like that, please let it steep for longer.
-
Those who don't like that, don't let it steep as long.
-
It's like rose petals are floating.
-
So cute.
-
This is making me emotional.
-
It's nice.
-
While straining it,
-
pour it over a bunch of ice.
-
By doing so, the ice will melt and you'll get iced tea.
-
Since we added honey, it's a bit milky white in color.
-
It's still lukewarm, so by stirring it,
-
it'll chill well.
-
Here you are.
-
So cute!
-
It's complete.
-
Thanks!
-
It turned out nice.
-
It's good!
-
It's really good!
-
It sure is!
-
It's easy to drink.
-
I want people to make this.
-
It's fun!
-
When you're drinking this with a child,
-
giving them straight herbal tea can be too much,
-
so do 50/50 with apple juice.
-
That looks delicious!
-
Diluting it with apple juice.
-
Yes, diluting it with apple juice.
-
Eh, that's awesome.
-
It turns into this color.
-
Ah! That's adorable!
-
It's very tropical-looking...
-
It really is. It is summer, after all.
-
It's now more of a juice and is easy to drink,
-
which a wider range of people will be able to enjoy.
-
It's nice to have something that parents and children can drink together.
-
Please try it if you'd like.
-
Thank you.
-
It's diluted with apple juice.
-
Oh, it's completely different.
-
It's more juice-like.
-
It's delicious.
-
This would be awesome to drink at home during the summer.
-
You can't really go out much right now.
-
That's true.
-
teteria posts a lot of combinations on its Instagram, doesn't it?
-
That's right.
-
All of them are so cute.
-
The visuals are unlike anything I've ever seen.
-
Because I brew things that make myself happy.
-
Onishi, do you drink alcohol?
-
-I don't.
-Eh!?
-
I don't.
-
Onishi don't drink alcohol,
-
so if I do, it's only if it's the only thing there.
-
I see.
-
I also don't drink alcohol.
-
Eh!?
-
That's exactly why, right?
-
There are many people in bands who like alcohol,
-
but I'm not very good at handling it.
-
-What do you do when you're unsure what to drink?
-Oolong tea.
-
I always go with oolong tea.
-
That's great.
-
That's the same for Onishi.
-
We made it iced,
-
but it's actually also delicious hot.
-
Do a 1:1 ratio of cold or hot water [to apple juice], and make diluted apple water.
-
Now boil it.
-
Apples go well with roses, so their aromas go well together as well.
-
You turned off the heat.
-
Something like that.
-
The aroma of roses is floating upwards.
-
It'll turn into tea in a bit,
-
so please wait a little longer.
-
Steeping it for 2-3 minutes is the perfect amount of time.
-
It's done.
-
There you go.
-
It's done!
-
The tea's ready.
-
What do you call this?
-
"Rose apple tea," perhaps.
-
-How does that sound?
-It sounds good.
-
It's lovely.
-
It's hot.
-
It's really delicious.
-
(Maybe I'll ask about something I've been wondering about...💭)
-
Is that all right? Onishi.
-
Onishi's part.
-
It's awesome.
-
(...I'll ask💭)
-
Onishi, do you refer to yourself as "Onishi"?
-
I do.
-
Regularly?
-
-Yes, and when I'm among family as well.
-Isn't everyone's last name "Onishi," too?
-
Yeah, it is.
-
Sometimes my kids refer to themselves as "Onishi" as well.
-
So cute!
-
Like, "This is Onishi's."
-
That's so cute.
-
That's nice - It's so peaceful.
-
I've prepared tea bags for this one.
-
This is black tea in a uniquely-shaped tea bag made to look like a round drop.
-
What's good about it is that it has a strong taste.
-
Milk is a rather heavy liquid, right?
-
That's why you pair it with strong black tea.
-
It's also a type of black tea that has a strong flavor to it.
-
It's made via the CTC (crush, tear, curl) method.
-
You put the tea bag in the cup,
-
and then add boiling water.
-
You can also make iced milk tea with it.
-
It makes for a really thick liquid.
-
Wait for about three minutes.
-
Put as much milk as you like.
-
You can put a little or a lot in.
-
It's done.
-
For milk tea, it'll make it really delicious if you add in sugar.
-
Feel free to put a lot in.
-
Okay.
-
This is hot milk tea.
-
It's filled to the brim.
-
It might not show up on camera.
-
Ah!
-
It's delicious.
-
But you can really taste the black tea.
-
No matter how much milk you put in, the black tea is the star.
-
You put in quite a bit [of milk], too🥛
-
For that reason,
-
if you use leaves with fine granular shape, it will appear darker.
-
By doing that, you'll have a milk tea where the milk isn't overpowering.
-
As for iced milk tea,
-
because this is slowly getting darker,
-
put in a lot of milk🥛
-
There you have it.
-
So cute.
-
So pretty.
-
They're neatly layered.
-
Thank you.
-
Oh!
-
It's a waste to mix it.
-
It's different from the hot one, right?
-
It is.
-
It's good.
-
But I want to make it sweet.
-
How about sugar syrup?
-
Yeah.
-
Also, you can add sugar at this point.
-
The sweet ver. of it.
-
It's cute.
-
I'll try it.
-
Ah, this is really good.
-
It's nice when it's sweet.
-
You're like, "This is it!"
-
For kids, too?
-
Ah, I think they could totally drink this.
-
Wow.
-
That's only using one tea bag.
-
There are many ways to drink this.
-
Thank you so much.
-
Thank you so much for showing all these ways to brew the tea!
-
By watching a video about it,
-
you'll be like, "That's easier than I thought it'd be."
-
That's definitely true.
-
You can do everything in just three steps.
-
Above all,
-
I hope people enjoy the things like boiling water and preparing ice.
-
That's really true.
-
It's so relaxing.
-
Brewing tea leaves kind of raises the bar,
-
if those who aren't used to it try it out, that is.
-
But like, today, surprisingly...
-
It made you think, "Oh, that's surprisingly easy."
-
-Any kind of pot will work, right?
-Yes.
-
You just need a tea strainer.
-
Yeah, that's all you need.
-
It's very easy to do.
-
You can make it if you have boiling water and a cup,
-
so this brings a little fun to making tea.
-
That's lovely.
-
This will really enrich your time at home.
-
It's something that parents and kids can enjoy together as well.
-
And for those who live alone,
-
I think your "me time" will greatly be enriched.
-
That's very true.
-
I think this is such a great collaboration.
-
It makes me happy.
-
Thank you so much.
-
The tea leaves we used in today's video are...
-
Pink Rose leaves,
-
and tea bags suitable for milk tea.
-
Those are what will be sold.
-
At home you can exactly make what we featured today.
-
so those who are interested, please pick some up.
-
Proceeds from these will be donated as well.
-
It's nice to have fun doing things that are related to providing support to others.
-
so it would make me happy if you guys helped out.
-
Asuka and Onishi, thank you so much!
-
Thanks so much to everyone who watched until the end.
-
See you in my next video!
-
Bye bye!
-
Thank you so much!
-
Hello, RINA here.
-
Today...
-
I'm heading to a meeting.
-
Here I go!
-
Thanks! Today we're doing some sampling.
-
It's really good!
-
Isn't this adorable?
(*We tried out a bunch of teas and ended up choosing Pink Rose and CTC MILK🥛)
-
It's a different type, right?
-
It's completely different.
-
I was wondering if it'd be different, and it certainly is.
-
Yeah, anyone could tell.
-
Maybe we should go with CTC MILK.
-
It's really nice.
-
We've decided.
-
Thank you so much!
-
See you later!
-
Take care!
-
It's done.
-
Today, we decided on what we'll be selling.
-
I'm really looking forward to it.
-
Look forward to it too!
-
This one.
-
They're the same.
-
The texture's different.
-
-So maybe we should go with this.
-A lighter colored one, huh.
-
We made an original can that you can store tea leaves or bags in.
-
You can store your tea in this can and enjoy it in that way.
-
After you use up the tea, you can use it for something else.
-
We were particular about making this,
-
so I hope you pick up one of these too.
-
Thank you for watching until the end!
-
I'd be happy if you'd enjoy the tea while watching how to make it.
-
Have a good time at home!
-
See you later!
-
Bye bye! Thank you!
