We sent Tom Chambers and his camera down to Brighton to check out the making of "Love The Silence" by London Elektricity feat Elsa Esmeralda.

The video is set on a fairground ride, and more takes place on a Waltzer.

and particularly on a brightened pier.

[music continues in background]

The Love of Silence by London Electricity

It's been written by Danny Goldman and myself.

I wrote the vocal part. It's based on a nightmare

that I had. The funny thing is

that... Nick who, uh, who wrote the script for this video

based it on, um, the scenery around the fun fair.

Um, and that's another really recurrent dream theme that I have

when I have nightmares they're usually on a fun fair

[music plays; vocal]

The general idea for the video is that Elsa, the singer

is hiding from the chaos around her

and she finds sanctuary in an unusual place

which is on a Watlzer cart.

[Instrumental]

the reason we've done all the speed stuff is because

Elsa starts off in a nice calm, tranquil place.

As things starts to get more intense a lot more

crazy the a, the, the every time we

speed it up and slowing down; the hard stuff.

[Music Plays: "Make it seem, there's nothing wrong"]

This song is about having voices in your head

that you can't get rid of

and you're trying really hard to kind of...

close them off, but you can't.

And they're just getting louder and louder.

The lyrics go, "Don't, don't say a word.

Help my eyes so I can see in color".

Um... and that's why this environment

is so great, because it's really colorful.

[Instrumental]

The biggest challenge we had, I mean,

I, I was laughing about this before

that, uh, it's really, really easy

to write the word Waltzer in a pitch.

And, [laughs] it's very, very, difficult to film on a Waltzer.

We needed the camera not to

move along with Elsa, so that if it felt

a lot calmer, a lot more tranquil.

So, I got in touch of my grip

and Cohen and he said that what we needed

to do is to get something

called a "zooka- bazuka"

So essentially it anchors the camera down.

We had to film the ride

and get a fraction of its speed just for

for safety; more than anything.

And because there's so much movement going on.

You don't get the senses that it's going slower

on the, uh, in the video.
