>>A cone shape is a little bit trickier,
it's kind of like a curved edged and
-
a smaller curved edge
on the same angle.
-
And you can kind of see how this
turns into kind of a cone.
-
I don't think I have this perfect, it's
going to angle a little bit,
-
but this kind of little bit of trial and
error to try and make sure you get
-
that perfect cone.
-
One way you can kind of do
it is just kind of roll up
-
paper - your tar paper - and then cut off
the bottom flat, cut off the top flat,
-
and that will kind of give you
the angles that you want.
-
Same process...
-
...
-
you slip the back
of the tar paper.

[quiet continues]
-
So I kept a little bit of clay on one side
and I cut to the edge on the other.
-
...
-
I'll need to bevel...
-
upwards on one side,
-
just like the cylinder, flip it over,
come from the other side.
-
[quiet]
-
Curve around...
-
...
-
clean up the seam,
-
...
-
and there it gives you
a tall cone.
-
And you can adjust that
based upon how wide
-
the bottom curve is compared
to the top curve.
-
Obviously the wider that is on the
bottom compared to the top
-
the more it's going
to angle out.
