J’étais une enseignante traditionnelle avant la pandémie - Marie | PGO 2021

Title:
J’étais une enseignante traditionnelle avant la pandémie - Marie | PGO 2021
Description:

The pandemic has forced many teachers around the world to teach online rather than face-to-face, requiring the creation of new pedagogical approaches to keep learners curious and motivated. What impact has the pandemic had on teaching and how has it transformed it? How should teachers and learners position themselves in relation to this change in teaching and learning? What are the challenges of 100% online education and how can they be addressed? Have learners' behaviour and expectations also been affected by this profound change in the pace of life? We will attempt in this workshop to raise these questions and provide some explanations and insights necessary for online teaching.

Marie, a bilingual teacher, has been teaching French and Italian for ten years. She has a Master’s degree in foreign language teaching from the universities of Jean Moulin Lyon 3 and Roma Tre. She started her career as an Italian teacher in the French National Education system and for 6 years she deepened her knowledge of classical teaching techniques before choosing to discover new linguistic and pedagogical approaches at the Alliance Française of Beijing and at Beijing Language and University. Following these experiences, she chose to discover new linguistic and pedagogical approaches used in teaching in England. Now, when she is not teaching, she is training in teaching techniques for new arrivals.
