Dutch photographer Maurice Mikkers is fascinated with tears. His photos reveal the structure of tears at a molecular level. In his images we see the crystallized tears, each one different, reminding us of the uniqueness of snowflakes. Some tears look like little planets with beautiful landscapes of patterns and shapes. There are three tear types, one of which is Emotional. And each tear tells a story. Each tear is unique. Just like ideas worth spreading, Maurice Mikkers believes in tears worth shedding.
