Rachel Thomas is a deep learning researcher and the co-founder of fast.ai, which created the “Practical Deep Learning for Coders” course that over 100,000 students have taken. In her talk, she explains why artificial intelligence should be accessible to all of us, even those without a math background.

Rachel earned her PhD in mathematics at Duke University and was an early engineer at Uber. In 2017, she was selected by Forbes as one of 20+ leading women in AI research. Her writing about AI has been read by over half a million people and has been translated into Chinese, Spanish, Korean, and Portuguese.
