The Sun is the source of all energy. Combining multiple atomic nuclei is the key principle of a fusion power plant, which would serve as a Sun on Earth. It would also solve two main modern challanges: finding a new source of energy when fossil fuels are depleted and helping to clean the planet of greenhouse gases to ensure a healthy and safe environment to live in.

Luka is head of the Department of Reactor Physics, a reasercher at the Jožef Stefan Institute and an associate professor at the Faculty of Mathematics and Physics Ljubljana. After his doctorate he spent a year in England researching fusion reactors at the Culham Centre for Fusion Energy. The scientist's main quest is how to create stars on Earth. Luka is well aware of the importance of energy for the development of mankind while maintaining Earth's natural balance. He wishes important topics such as mankind's future sources of energy could be discussed in an unheated atmosphere. Luka is fond of Renaissance values and values of science. He is an eternal seeker of truth and of new discoveries. Luka je vodja odseka za reaktorsko fiziko, raziskovalec na Institutu Jožef Stefan in izredni profesor na Fakulteti za matematiko in fiziko Univerze v Ljubljani. Po doktoratu je leto dni raziskoval fuzijske reaktorje na Centru za fuzijsko energijo v Culhamu v Angliji. Ukvarja se z vprašanjem, kako kreirati zvezde na Zemlji. Zaveda se pomembnosti energije za razvoj človeštva ter obenem ohranjanja naravnega ravnovesja. Želi si, da bi se o tako pomembnih temah, kot je energijska prihodnost človeštva, pogovarjali v nerazgretem ozračju. Blizu so mu renesančne vrednote in vrednote znanosti.
