The listener who sends in the best "spice" story will win a SPA-isu (spa chair).
Eh?! I'd want to see that!
We're currently in a slump!
We're going to do a live radio broadcast now.
I'm off~
Good evening. This is SCANDAL's vocalist HARUNA,
Bassist TOMOMI,
Guitarist MAMI,
And drummer RINA.
This live broadcast is TOKYO FM's Sunday Special, "SCANDAL Catch up supported by Meiji Apollo."
On July 15th, we will be releasing our digital single "SPICE."
SPA-isu (spa chair)!
Thanks. That was cute!
Thank you!
-Are there anymore?
-There's one more.
Shall we read it?
"My life went pretty well so far, so there were times when my heart broke when I realized what I couldn't do."
-That was great!
-That was your first live broadcast in a while.
The live broadcast's done~
Good work~
It fires us up to want to make something even better.
I'm in the back. I don't remember that!
This is awesome!
It's kind of scary.
So awesome~
It's been a while since I felt something like that!
That's true.
Time to eat.
"her" [label] staff: How's that curry taste? Good?
RINA: It has a refined taste to it.
Manager: Refined taste!?
TOMOMI: In what way?
MAMI: Is it a taste you like?
TOMOMI: Saying it's "refined" is great.
TOMOMI: There's a paper-thin difference.
RINA: It's good, but...
Manager: What you really mean is that you're not enjoying it?
TOMOMI: It's not what you were looking for?
Manager: There were quite a lot of spices used...
RINA: It has a very unique taste.
Manager: A very unique taste...oh no.
Manager: Maybe I was too pulled in by the word "spice."
Manager: Deep-fried corn.
RINA: Ah, I love that! I really love that!
Manager: That's delicious.
TOMOMI: It has a possibility of being refined.
Manager: It does.
HARUNA: It might have spices in it, right?
MAMI: It's not sweet?
RINA: Eh~? Is that so?
Manager: But it's delicious, isn't it?
MAMI: Is it boiled?
Cooked.
Manager: Fried sweet corn on the cob.
MAMI: On the cob, huh?
HARUNA: You don't need to put salt on it?
Manager: Ah, salt, salt...
"her" staff: How is it?
Manager: Not good? Tasteless?
MAMI: It smells good, though.
Manager: Ah ah ah ah
"her" staff: We're not letting you call it "refined" too.
Manager: It's no longer "refined"?
To our manager and staff members, thanks for always supporting us☺🌶
We're starting at the count of 4.
Let's do this!
Here we go. In five seconds. Four, three, two, one...
We were so surprised to hear you finished the animation only two days ago!
You must have been pumped up.
Good morning.
HARU will play and sing until then, and then hand it off.
I'm glad we're able to do it.
It's really fast.
I thought it was a melody we could do when I first heard it,
And that we wouldn't be able to stop.
It's important whether or not the melody is something you, RINA-chan, can write lyrics to.
That's true.
It can be difficult.
Yeah.
I really thought that if I could go see it even for just a little bit, I could write something.
-If you don't know...
-It's difficult.
It’s not about changing everything acoustically.
It's what SCANDAL can do.
It's about strength too.
If this was a dance group, we'd have been one for 14 years.
Whatever we four do together is important.
F-sharp.
This atmosphere's good.
The thickness of it?
Our interview with the site SPICE...
Well...they really went for it.
It's getting spread around, surprisingly.
But I think it's fine.
Yeah, it's totally fine.
What happened?
When were interviewed by SPICE...
Well, the article was put together based on what we said,
But they summarized it as how being an all-girl band has always been a complex of ours,
That we thought it was also a weakness or an inferiority complex,
And that we changed that into a weapon by expressing it with our songs.
That's pretty much the exact opposite of what we think.
That was would be fine if we said so ourselves,
But we don't really think that's true.
They put that summary in the beginning of the article,
And I tweeted that that's not really correct.
I said that we don't consider being an all-girl band a "complex" of ours.
They did properly include what we said, though.
Yeah. It's the way they interpreted that was completely wrong.
They contemplated about it too hard.
I'm not mad about it at all,
But I think it's better to get things right.
It's something pretty important, after all.
It's a part of SCANDAL's identity.
-It was cute how passionate the people who replied to you were.
-Yeah.
It's awesome that everyone has the same opinions as us.
There's a great flow.
Sounds good.
Here we go.
Drummer RINA here! Thanks for having us!
Thanks so much!
Yes!
I recognize where you are, RINA!
Everyone says that! It's because of my YouTube channel.
Someone told me that earlier too.
I always film right here.
I watched a few of your 'Wednesday SCANDAL' livestreams [on Instagram] before...
