Hello, RINA here.

It's been a while!

This is my first YouTube video of 2021.

I've had a lot of free time.

Have you guys been doing well?

It's been so long that I've kind of forgotten what it's like to speak one-on-one to the camera.

I feel kind of nervous as I'm filming this.

We had two full weeks off for our New Year's break.

I stayed at home the whole time.

I usually go back to my hometown,

but this year I spent it at my place in Tokyo.

How did you guys spend it?

Today, I'll just be chatting about different things.

So yeah, what did I do over break?

Well...

Ah, hold on a sec.

So...

I thought about how I'd have a lot of days off,

and that I'd try doing things I've wanted to but hadn't been able to.

So, I did a little painting.

I didn't know what I'd need, but I just grabbed a bunch of stuff.

I've done a bunch different ones.

I just went for it.

I bought acrylic gouache.

I really didn't know what to do,

so I just picked up a beginner's set for the time being.

I got a paper palette pad too.

I put the paints here and did a lot of things.

A lot of time passed before I knew it.

It was a lot of fun.

I did this a hobby--rather, I played around with painting.

I'm not that good, but it was fun to do.

So, this was the first thing I painted.

I dated it.

I painted it on January 2nd.

My sister who's four years younger than me recently moved.

She just moved to a new place, so I thought about giving her a housewarming gift

and painted this with my sister in mind.

It's cute and has lot of pink.

It was so much fun.

It made me realize again how talented those who can paint well are.

Drawing things like animals...

I'm really bad at drawing in general.

Everything I try drawing looks warped.

(Scary😌)

I'm really bad at it,

so I wanted to try out painting something abstract with colors

and hope to keep painting how I want to whenever I feel like it.

Also, I watched drama series and movies the entire time.

I spent so much time watching them like there was no tomorrow.

I typically watched them on my computer,

or on my TV in the living room,

or by using a projector set up in my bedroom.

I indulged in movies and dramas.

I watch pretty much anything,

but I do like thrillers,

so I watched "Sweet Home," a horror Korean series.

I pretty much watched it all in one go.

It was really interesting,

but it gave me so many nightmares on the day I watched it.

(...I look happy🥺)

But I like stuff like that.

Also, I recently started watching the Korean drama "Familiar Wife."

It's been a few years since it aired.

I started watching that.

This drama makes your heart skip a beat.

I watched a bunch of different things.

What else can I talk about?

Ah, that's right.

So, last December,

my model friend Seina and I launched "MAKE A WISH DAISY PROJECT,"

which we founded to support child care and women.

We're carrying that out in different ways,

and we wanted to kick it off by making it known to all kinds of people,

so we started with a crowdfunding project.

We couldn't at all imagine how many people would support it,

and we started things off while feeling pretty nervous.

We weren't sure what would happen,

but so many people have supported it.

A lot of people have commented on my YouTube videos saying that they've supported the project by purchasing a crowdfunding item.

That's made me very happy.

Thank you very much.

At any rate, we've passed our initial goal,

and right now...

We've passed the 300% mark.

The crowdfunding aspect will run until January 30th,

so if you're interested, or if any items interest you,

or if there's anyone still unsure and hasn't gotten anything,

please make your decision while the sales period is still going.

I happen to have the samples right here.

We made candles.

We made two kinds.

The pink one has a "Floral Musk" scent.

It has a very gentle, nice scent.

The white one is "Lemongrass."

It looks like a lot of people have gone with the Lemongrass scent.

We also made boxes for them.

Aren't they adorable?

The candles will come in these boxes.

We're going to personally package these ourselves.

We also made a message card.

On the back is something that I wrote.

Also... hold on a sec.

I'm going off to get things a lot today.

These satin pajamas are our most popular item as well as our main item.

They're brown and have the logo here.

The back is simple.

The one I have is a sample item so it's not the completed product,

but the ones you guys will get will have the text I wrote [on the message card] right here.

We designed this so that people of any gender and age can wear them,

so wear them and match with me!

Since we'll still be spending a lot of time at home,

we thought it'd be nice if we could make things that lift up your mood even a little.

As for the collected funds,

once we subtract the material costs and fees,

we will be donating the rest to support groups.

So I think this is a great buy.

It's gotten a bit promote-y.

But we'll be moving the DAISY PROJECT along in a bunch of different ways this year,

so it'd make me happy if you guys would look forward to it.

What else can I talk about?

In 2021...

I'm in the all-girl band SCANDAL,

and this year is our 15th anniversary year.

15 years passed by in no time at all.

It'll be the band's 15th anniversary on August 21st of this year,

so I think it'll be a special, busy year for the band too.

This is coincidental,

and I'm sure there are fans who know this.

My birthday is August 21st.

It's coincidental that my birthday and the band's formation date are the same.

I'm turning 30 years old this year.

And...

I don't think anything's going to change,

but it feels like a big milestone numerically.

I'm looking forward to it.

Yeah.

I'll be natural and kind to myself,

and I hope we can do things that everyone can enjoy in many ways.

This is really late, but I'm looking forward to your continued support this year too.

Ah, that's right.

I had a shocking experience at the start of the year.

My social media accounts comprise of Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and LINE Blog.

These are my personal accounts,

and my Twitter got hacked!

It was so shocking. The members and I were laughing about it, like, "Who's this?!"

I couldn't log in at all and couldn't do anything else.

For now, I guess I'll be taking a short break from Twitter.

I'll be using my IG and YouTube accounts as my main ones,

and I'll also be writing blogs here and there.

I hope you enjoy my content wherever you'd like to follow me.

We don't know what'll happen since times are still tough,

and we don't know what'll happen in the future,

but the band and I are thinking up of a lot fun things,

so we're looking forward to seeing everyone again soon.

This has been my first video of 2021.

This might have turned out to be another awkward one.
