[Interview with a new member]

My name is Maya Kisanuki and I'm 19 years old.

I'm a first-year student at Bunka Fashion College.

I'm half-Sri Lankan and half-Japanese.

My father is Sri Lankan, 
my mother is Japanese.

Bunka Fashion College is a fashion school
and the courses are divided...

... into marketing and production. I'm in
marketing and I'm studying fashion business.

[WHY DID YOU CHOOSE A FASHION COLLEGE?]
Last year, I went to Canada for a year,
no, actually 9 months.

My parents have always encouraged me
to try different hobbies.

So I had the opportunity to make lots
of experiences.

When I was in Canada, there wasn't 
anything I was particularly interested in.

So when I came back, I realized that it
was clothes I was most interested in.

I wanted to learn more about clothing 
and my Mom said Bunka Fashion College...

... is a famous school with history and I
should consider going there.

So I enrolled in January this year.

[WHAT ARE YOUR DREAMS FOR THE FUTURE?]
I'm still not quite sure.

I don't have any dreams for the future yet.

I think it would be fun to introduce clothes 
that someone else made to the world.

I can speak English, so... Well, I think I can
speak English and I want to use that and...

... do something that has to do with clothes.
Right now that's what I want to do.

[REASON FOR JOINING]
I think people who can say...

... "I want to become this and that"
or "I want to travel around the world"...

... even if it's just small things,
those people are really cool.

I don't have anything like that yet. I wanted 
to live together with people who have...

...great dreams or goals and learn 
from them. That's why I applied for TH.

[ANYTHING YOU'RE WORRIED ABOUT?]
Well, there are things I'm worried about.

I don't think I get along with people who
judge others based on first impressions.

And I'm worried that little things could
pile up and result in a fight.

[WHAT ARE YOU LIKE?]
People say I'm loud or that...

I'm too direct. 
I get that a lot.

Some say I'm spoiled, too.

My emotions always show on my face.
My Mom says she's amazed at people...

... who have been friends with me
for a long time.

So I guess I'm spoiled.

[DO YOU GET INTO FIGHTS?]
I've fought a lot with my boyfriend.

And I fight with girlfriends
I'm really close with.

I think I do get into fights.
I might say things like...

"It's your fault" and so on.
I usually say what I think.

[PREVIOUS LOVE INTERESTS]
I had a boyfriend up until...

... the beginning of May.

One year and a half is the longest I've
ever been in a relationship.

The shortest would be about 
three months, I think.

The oldest person was three years older
than me, the youngest was either...

I've been in a relationship with about 
seven or eight people.

Most people I've dated got worried
about me at some point.

I have male friends that I spend a lot of 
time with.

And my boyfriends have become worried
about that a lot in the past.

[DO YOU FALL IN LOVE EASILY?]
I think I fall in love easily.

You could say I fall in love quickly. When I'm
single, I always say "I want a boyfriend!"

[WHAT KIND OF DATES DO YOU LIKE?]
I'm not into fancy dates.

Spending time at home is just as good.
Going to a cheap restaurant...

... and just talking to each other.
That's more like my thing.

[WHAT'S YOUR TYPE?]
I like people I can relax around, 
who are fun to be with.

People who laugh all the time.

I usually don't do things I don't like,
and I don't go places I don't like.

So I need to be able to be with someone 
all the time without getting tired of them.

About looks... I really don't have a
particular pattern.

It's not a nice thing to say, but I've 
been told the guys I've dated so far...

... weren't particularly good-looking.

But I really don't care about looks.

I've dated people who were short or 
whose face wasn't good-looking.

[WHAT'S YOUR NO-GO TYPE?]
I don't like people who don't like 
everything to be clean.

For example, if I went into the boys'
room and thought "It's dirty"...

I probably wouldn't like that.

I like everything to be clean. At least
I think I'm that kind of person.

[THINGS YOU WANT TO DO AT TERRACE HOUSE?]
I really can't cook.

When I was in Canada, I had my Mom send
me recipes over LINE.

I've really been trying my best, but I'm
so bad at it.

I want to learn it from someone at Terrace
House.

If there's someone who's good at cooking
I'd like to do some cooking together.
